The sales team was friendly and helpful when we purchased our Hyundai Ioniq 5. Unfortunately, everything after the sale was a completely different story. The portable EV charger included with our vehicle was defective from the beginning. Instead of making the replacement process straightforward, the dealership was incredibly difficult to work with. I ultimately had to escalate the issue to Hyundai Corporate just to get a replacement charger shipped within a week. Even after Corporate approved the replacement, the dealership insisted I bring the entire vehicle in so they could take photos--even though the problem was clearly with the charger, not the car. It felt like unnecessary bureaucracy that wasted my time. Scheduling that appointment was another ordeal. Louise at the front desk was consistently unhelpful and difficult to work with throughout the process. Communication was poor, scheduling was frustrating, and the overall customer experience was far below what I'd expect from a dealership representing Hyundai. When I finally came in, we still had to wait an excessive amount of time, and we were even skipped over before eventually receiving the replacement charger. What should have been a simple warranty replacement turned into weeks of unnecessary hassle, multiple phone calls, an escalation to Corporate, and a wasted trip to the dealership. The contrast between the helpful sales staff and the disappointing service department couldn't have been greater. This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in recent memory, and it has seriously affected my confidence in returning to Hyundai Oakland for future service.

Now ANY WATER that gets on the windshield is going to pour right into the firewall and flood my interior! I can't even operate the radio properly because the entire center of the screen wont detect any touch! How did this pass inspection!? I paid $23,000 for THIS!? DO NOT take these people at their word. Inspect THROUGHLY. Avoid the place all together, honestly

Within the week I had to take the car in to the shop for rattling when the AC was on. Turns out something was installed backwards. Within the second week the Apple Car Play started failing. I took it to the dealership, one of the gentleman came out and did a quick troubleshooting (deleted devices and added back). Fast forward to March 2026, Car play has FAILED. I take the vehicle for an oil change and find that the engine is failing, including an engine oil leak, coolant system failing. While trying to establish the validity of the warranty and find a good shop for the repairs the car has shut off in traffic twice, continues to run hot and the breaks are going out already. I have spent $600 on a rental car. I have reached out to San Leandro several times and spoke with Boris. The last of which he offered a discount on the rental which still totaled $600 for how long I will need the rental. I asked explicitly to speak with a Regional Manager about surrendering the vehicle and submitted an online complaint more than three weeks ago and no one is responding. I have also filed a complaint with BBB. And by the list of other complaints I'm not the first person sold a vehicle that they claim has been through a rigorous "certification" and inspection and the ENGINE is failing months later.

Five months I have been leaving voice messages and emails for both the credit company and the Ford Store. Five frustrating months. The credit reporting agency they use had me complete multiple forms trying to get this off of my credit report. It's pretty nasty business that you would promise someone that you're not going to run their credit and that they only thing that they're going to do is confirm your identity. The Ford Store lied to me. I would love to update my review and say that they did anything to try to remedy the situation, but they didn't. I called them a week ago and was promised a call back. I called them a month ago and was promised a call back. I called them today and was promised a call back. They even recognize who I am when I call. If I could give you zero stars, I would. This is not cool. After months and months of the runaround with the credit reporting agency, I finally got an email response today. They said that the Ford store had me sign a form, and therefore the pulling of my credit was perfectly acceptable. Well, I can promise you when they had me sign that form. They promised me that they would not pull my credit. Super unhappy with you. Do not recommend. 0/0
