She could have told me anything and how would I know? Anyway, we were seated very quickly and our server was there before we knew it. He took our drink order and have us a few minutes to check out the menu. When he came back we asked if we could do half Demarco and half sausage and pepperoni. Said yes so that's what we got. Pizza came quick and it was prolly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long long time. Although I can't remember the last time I was there, but pretty sure it was good then too. I will say that there was one very serious problem and we could have handled it better. You see there were 4 of us with one being our 9 yr old grandson. Pizza had 8 slices, so we each had 2. Now tell me how fair is it that Grandpa only got 2 and the kid got 2. We should have ordered a 2nd pie. Great place, great food and great location downtown, so join the community and have a great slice!

I was tempted to ask for extra red or marinara sauce. The crust was good, no burning on the bottom. I had to eat half the slice before I got to the special cheese. The peach sangria was very refreshing & for 1/2 off I thought about extending my stay, but I had to keep room for the next pizza stop. The bartender & staff were all really nice & working as a team. Communicating with each other & the patrons. I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu.

We came to Mellow Mushroom and they had a 45 minute wait. We gave the hostess our number and walked around downtown Chattanooga as we waited for a text. Skip to 45 mins later, we stopped back by the restaurant to check our place in line. While we were gone, the internet went out and our reservation was lost. The Mellow Mushroom team put us at the top of the list and got us seated almost immediately. Shoutout to Tristan at the front desk for handling the issue so expertly. We had the luck of getting seated in Haley's section. Haley is a fantastic server and truly embodies the chill that is the Mellow Mushroom way. We got the house special pizza, pretzel bites and a child's cheese pizza. Everything was excellent, the food and customer service. We recommend the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Chattanooga, TN. read more

I'm afraid my review for this place is not so good. They advertise gluten free pizza and we asked LOTS of important questions on ingredients, preparation and cross contamination before ordering their gluten free pizza for our family. The staff member assured us they were safe but both of our children got extremely sick form their gluten free pizza which leads me to believe they are not gluten free or they were contaminated in the process. I didn't mind paying the pricy $20 each for 2 gluten free pizzas but I am pretty upset that my children got ill from them. Perhaps this company needs to rethink their process or stop selling them as gluten free. If I can save another person from getting sick this post will have been worth it. read more

My sweetheart and I came to Mellow Mushroom for pizza before the Lookouts game, as soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the friendly staff and even friendlier aroma of fresh baked pizza goodness! We were promptly taken to a cozy Corner booth and met our server Ashley (whom we had met the previous night in the parking garage),w e were pleasantly surprised to see her and she was very warm and friendly! The food was pretty good. It took about 30 minutes or more to get our pizza. The best thing about this place is the design. If you have ever done psychedelic mushrooms, you'll love this place. It's all about shrooms! All of the decorations are based a psychedelic shroom fantasy. Of course, most people don't notice this at all. They just think that it's cute mushroom cartoons, but I know better. It's about tripping. It's a great place to sit and have drinks with your friends. My waitress last night, Abby, was AMAZING! She was so kind, attentive, polite, and never once made us feel rushed. She was very busy all night long, but she never let that effect her attitude, or her service. Towards the end of our meal, I received an upsetting phone call and she could sense my energy had changed. She surprised our table with a delicious cookie just to make us smile. Today my husband and I visited mellow mushroom for a late lunch. Being a busy Saturday in Chattanooga Mellow Mushroom was very busy! Our server, Leah was polite, friendly and efficient and took excellent care of us despite the crowd. The food was great. We had the bruschetta appetizer and it was out in no time and very tasty! Once again an incredible pizza experience from Mellow. Tasty, tangy, cheesy, with that distinctive soft crust. Kosmic Karma with the psychedelic cat and Great White with the cool shark + a gluten free 10" for the far end of the table. And we had to get the classic pretzel bites with 2 dips. This has become our go-to spot for the entire family when we are downtown. Ashley was fantastic Saturday afternoon when we got together with friends before a movie. Ask to sit at A table though because the booth seats seem to be needing an upgrade. Nice and attentive server! Be warned though of the homeless/bums hanging around outside asking for cigarettes.
