I when to Mellow Mushroom with family that has celiac and must ensure a gluten free diet. I felt safe that they understood cross contamination risk and the pizza was safe for my family. We ordered the gluten free Kosmic Karma the only down side is they only have small gluten free crust so you may have to order multiple pizza's instead of just a bigger size if you want to share causing it to cost more. The pizza came fresh with plenty of toppings, the Kosmic Karma has red sauce, spinach, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh roma tomatoes, sheep's milk feta and is topped with pesto. Ate here today for the second time during our trip to Chattanooga. Sat at the bar again. The pizza here is fantastic. Huge selection of beer! Our bartender, Jessie, was spot on! OMG.... First, let me say I am not a fan of mellow mushroom. It just never seems to hit the spot for me. However, while visiting from out of town with a group - the kids wanted pizza and this was the closest spot. Not a bad wait time, our server was friendly and on top of things. But the pizza and wings were just terrible. Ordered 3 different types of pizzas. 2 came back burned (the manager apologized and remade) and the 3rd was just okay. The wings were awful, I had heard they had good wings- so I attempted...but they were dry and unseasoned. I'll stick to my stance of no when it comes to Mellow Mushroom from now on. read more

Waited 30 minutes for a table and then an hour for a large pizza. Server argued about the special beers offered (we visited last Saturday too) When I asked my server about our pizza and told her we had been waiting for an hour, she said "yeah everyone else has too"Had to get our own silverware and takeout box when done. I've seen these pizza restaurants in other cities but never have I dined in one. On a trip to Chattanooga we were in need of a quick meal and pizza was the most convenient item. Located in downtown Chattanooga so it can get quite busy. We had to put our names on a waitlist, which took about 30min before we were called. Didn't expect it to be as nice as it was on the inside. Had a wonderful time at this location. Walked into a very clean bar and was greeted by the friendliest staff. We needed a seating accommodation change part way through our visit and the bartender helped us move with ease. Even continued to come check on us as their guests (even though it wasn't their table anymore). Our food came out hot and fresh. Basically everything you can ask for from a mellow. I love Mellow Mushroom, having eaten a few times in Denver a long time ago ... Hard to rate this pizza because - WE WERE STARVING and everything tastes better when you are starving!! That said - it was definitely good. Didn't disappoint. The only drawback -- and I'm not dinging them on this one -- was my pizza sat ready for about 10 minutes before they brought it to me and that was reflected in a less than piping hot pizza experience. We waited forever. The time to the table was the shortest thing we waited on. About 20 minutes. There is a check in treat which thankfully came relatively fast. We waited over an hour on the pizza. As somebody who is from Atlanta, I have been to many mellow mushroom locations around the Atlanta area. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had in my entire entire life. I am glad that they have come to Chattanooga so I can still enjoy the pizza while I am living up here going to UTC. Will always be coming back here when possible! Always a pleasure. read more

Poor time on their part. Our server was very sweet but the hostess at the front seemed to be not there... Megan our server was the best server we have, she really needs to be promoted. She kept checking in, informing us with any thing going on, made sure we were taken care of in a time reasonable way and always had a smile on her face. Constantly apologized as well for our almost 2 hour wait for our food. The kitchen has terrible timing, it took us almost exactly two hours for our pizza to come to our table. Took away our time here to enjoy Chattanooga. The food was good but not two hour time worthy. The front hostesses (yes hostesses) seems like they are on something. They also seated us at the most compacted area first and we are not skinny people. We had to ask them to place us somewhere else and instead we seated ourselves because they didn't even know where to put us. Will out be coming back till the kitchen improves.
