Three stars given for below average service. We sat at the table for ten minutes before someone came over to get our drink order, our food arrived but we didn't have plates or utensils, we waited another few minutes for those to arrive, when they did, we were short one plate. We were a party of five, but she only brought four plates. Finally got the 5th plate and went without refills throughout the meal. The upside? They have a decent selection of specialty pizzas, the calzone was tasty, and the salad was fresh with quality ingredients. Maybe we visited on a day they were understaffed? Based on the other reviews about poor service, I doubt we'll visit again to find out. read more

After spending close to a month in the Conyers area, I will say this is by far the best pizza I have had in the surrounding area. I stopped in for takeout, but know if I was going to be in the area longer I would frequent this place often. read more

Had a meal here today while passing through Conyers. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Had the salad capri, Mediterranean pizza and an Italian hoagie. All three were fresh and very tasty. Service was good, friendly and informative. Atmosphere was casual and colorful. read more

Moved from Florida and I have to say their Mellow Mushrooms are far better than here. Conyers location took us 10 mins to be seated, as we looked at all the empty tables, they only came to our table once for refills and were too slow in service. I don't know how other MM's are in Georgia but I pray it is far better next time than this time. read more

We stopped in on Friday nite, Alexandra waited on our table and was absolutely wonderful. She never let our drinks get low..all our food was prepared exactly as we requested it. I can't say enough about the entire staff. Everyone was friendly and the staff was busy cleaning, greeting customers or making sure everything was cooked right. We will be back soon. read more

Mellow Mushroom is my favorite pizza chain, that the one in Conyers is my go to 'Shroom. The recently have added some in pies and me and my date got the Thai Dyed. It had curry chicken, roma tomatoes, mozzarella, with cucumbers, fresh basil and a thai chili sauce on a garlic and olive oil base. I would have likes some more of the thai chili sauce and would have like the tomatoes a little more cooked myself. We also had the bruschetta which was good, had a nice fresh tanginess to. It came in a serving of five adding one more would have been nice. They have also really been trying to have a good quality beer list over the last year too, which is something I really like. It is just sometimes getting a beer can be hard. Over the course of the meal I have two beers, yet had to give my waiter seven different option before they had one in stock (four for the first beer and three for the second). All in all it was a good meal and I will be back. read more

Moved from GA a few years back but recently went to visit the grand-kids. When I spotted this Mellow Mushroom I remembered just how much I enjoyed their food and stopped. We ordered their House Special Pizza and it was incredible. In this day and age where pizza is usually made with artificial cheese, I was reminded how pizza was suppose to taste. The crust was incredible and such a wonderful golden brown, the vegetables and mushroom were fresh but the real cheese made the pizza. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. read more

Food is great... when you get it. This is now the second time that I have waited 30 plus minutes longer than my pick up time for my order that was placed an hour ahead of time. Speaking with a manager doesn't do any good either, all they do is say, "oh, sorry we didn't put in your pizza until it was pick up time!" Wtf? I will not be coming here anymore. Mellow Mushroom has vegan cheese! It's Daiya, which has not been a great favorite of mine in the past since I prefer Follow Your Heart, but I've recently discovered that Daiya mozzarella pairs well with tangy sauces. If you're vegan, do not miss out on the Mega Veggie here. It's loaded with vegetables: sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, broccoli, onions, black olives, banana peppers, spinach, bell peppers, and tofu. I usually skip the tofu (it's pretty bland) and get it with either avocado or their marinated tempeh. Make sure you tell them to give you the vegan cheese and hold the feta. They also normally brush the crust with butter and parmesan, but you can ask to have olive oil and garlic brushed on there instead. Trust me, it's delicious, so do it. I never would've expected to be able to get a vegan pizza like this in Georgia, so it definitely merits the five stars. Plus they've never screwed up my order, even on a busy night. The service is also fantastic with friendly servers who never forget about you. This is now my favorite restaurant in Conyers. read more

We have been going to this location for 11 years now and lately the service has been terrible. One week they said they didn't realize it was delivery so our food sat there until we decided to call, then had to pick it up. The next week they delivered but didn't have the salad we the order. They went back to pick it up and deliver but we wanted it with our original order. The next week, I specifically said, FOR DELIVERY. The cashier didn't hear this portion although she told me it would be about 35 minutes for delivery. When I called to check on the order they didn't have it as delivery. Daaa.... What's really going on? Ok we finally the food was delivery and the food it looked and tasted TERRIBLE. The wings were burnt and the cheese on the meatballs was HARD. i love their food. Everything they make is just awesome! I must say I almost feel bad just giving them a 4, but justice must be made unfortunately. I have been there several times, my husband and I are vegetarians, and their variety of food is pretty good. The one problem we seem to have every time is service. They take for ever to come to your table to take drink orders and by that time we browsed and found what we want to eat. We then order drinks and food at the same time. They take another eternity to bring the drinks and infinity back and forth to bring the food. This regardless of how busy they are. I can say of one time they were fast with our order and it was like 4 days ago. We thought "oh, things are changing" NOT! we went there last night and the same thing happened to us again. It was pretty busy, and we were observing other tables as well. At the time there were 4 tables waiting on drinks and then waiting for their food. We finally set a timer and said if they do not come in the next 5 minutes we are leaving. My husband put the timer on and fortunately they came to the table to ask what we wanted to drink. The waiter did take the order for drinks and food at the same time. Any how... we really like the food, please!!!! try to be a bit quicker tending tables!! I came with a group of friends and the service was HORRENDOUS !!! One of the lady servers never gave me the lemonade I asked for. Also left out my friends tea then when my friend proceeded to ask for her drink the server had a nasty look on her face and said "oh,ok". Then my other friends got their order messed up and the waiter blamed my friends for the mistake of her not listening. Then when we received our check we had to split the bill and I was trying to organize the money and the waiter was like "usually you tip the waiter" then I gave her the money and she snatched it out my hand and swiftly walked away. We put in more money then we should have and expected to get change but she never came back. She literally stole a tip from me. read more

Best restaurant in Conyers, and the best Mellow Mushroom we have been to in terms of prices. Their beer prices can not be beat, and I am not talking gross bud light or Miller light deals; I'm talking real beer deals. They must not make much profit off their beer prices. Service is usually good, but the wait for food can sometimes be long. I love the atmosphere, but really think they need to move to a bigger location; they are always so busy! One of the few places we still eat at in Conyers. We've discovered that if we travel to surrounding counties we get better quality and service even from the chain restaurants. Sad since we have lived in Conyers for decades. Mellow Mushroom ALWAYS provides us with fast friendly service. Do not eat here!! I've never had a bad experience at any of the Mellow Mushrooms in the past, however when me and my boyfriend decided to go out and have pizza at this particular location at 1880 hwy 20,while we waited to be seated we noticed a cook in the kitchen transferring pasta sauce into another container using his bare hands, he actually looked right at us and continued doing it. It was very disgusting and I can't imagine what other foods he may have contaminated. Nonetheless we exited immediately and have no intention of eating at Mellow Mushroom ever again. read more

Really enjoy this place every time we go. Especially since the owners that are there now have taken over. Great for causal date night, family friendly dinner or a beer after work. Hey, It's not NY pizza but it's gotta be the best in Atlanta--both best overall pizza chain and the best Mellow Mushroom I've been to. I've been driving back and forth to Atlanta for several weeks and I've tried about 5 other pizza places. This one is the best. Crust is crispy and the sauce actually has a taste. Service could be a little better. But, I'll take the little less better pizza compared to NY without the rude staff that goes w/ it in New York. Here's to the new south pizza!
