We go to MM almost weekly. Always great service and never a bad pizza. They always seem to be busy. A lot of too-go orders but we still get our order in a timely manner. They have a small dining area and sometimes we have to wait for a table but not unreasonably. The guys behind the counter always speak to you on the way out as you leave and they don't even know you. Beer so cold it might even have ice in it. A fun place to go enjoy sweet tea or good cold beer with a hot pizza . Employees treat you like they are glad you are there and just a customer. read more

I'm a big fan of the food and beer at all Mellow Mushrooms, but what sets this location apart is the decor and the awesome service. On tap this Mellow Shroom carries 6 rotating beers and they carry a selection of bottles and full bar as well. The food is pretty standard and in line with all Mellows. The decor of this very small Mellow is funky, which is one of the reasons I like it. I love the ceiling tiles that have been painted with different artwork. Although this is a smaller Mellow Mushroom it just makes it feel warm and inviting. Service at this locations has always been the bee's knees. The bartender, server, and cooks are always super friendly and make sure your order is accurate and will answer any questions you have. read more

I just had to share my admiration for this place. During my last visit, I purposely overpaid for a bottle of wine for my wife to take home since this place has never disappointed for mostly carry out and to support local business during the pandemic. As per our usual ordered a regular cheese pizza and sole Vegan cheese with pineapple for me. When I arrived home, the Vegan cheese was missing! Never happened before in all my six years eating from there! I called and let them know the error and they said to stop by in 7 minutes and it would be ready. I come here weekly when meeting a girlfriend for lunch between our jobs. We always arrive knowing we'll get a made to order meal from their selective lunch menu. Not only do you have a lot of dishes to choose from but the prices are affordable too. The staff is always so kind and going above and beyond for us. The pizza is delicious. The crust is a perfect thickness and there are just the right amount of toppings. We ordered a medium Holy Shiitake and it was so good. I added sausage to half and it was finely crumbled. I also ordered a small Chef's Salad with the house dressing and the ingredients were very fresh. Don't be turned off by the small, older location. If you like white pizza, their's is the best. Mellow Mushroom is a reliably good restaurant. Hero sandwiches on toasty french bread, are delish. If you live in the area and feel like pizza, give this place a try. The ambience kiind of reminds me of the "hippie" places I frequented at college, in upstate New York. read more

Lunch after Church today at this location. We've been eating pizza at Mellow for years, at various locations in the south east. We enjoy the pizza and always look forward to checking out the interesting atmospheres these stores are known for. This location is in a strip of stores and restaurants in a fairly busy area in metro Atlanta. The store is small, but roomy enough to get around and not feel cramped at all. The kitchen is open and there are several TVs with sporting events playing. The noise level is tolerable, and it seems to be very clean. Service was good at a time when the lunch crowd was beginning to pickup. I noticed several people come and go carrying orders out. We ordered garlic cheese bread which came out very quickly. It was hot and very good. We ordered a large pizza, half house special without onions, and half beef, ham, and pineapple. This along with three soft drinks completed the order. As is typically the case at a Mellow store, the pizza was hot and fresh. Nothing stands out about the visit, but the pizza and service were very good. Nothing we experienced was negative, and it appeared the customers around us were happy as well! We will be back! read more

For a Mellow Mushroom they are spot on most times and the bar is set higher so only (3.5) Stars. Calzones have been inconsistent on sizing and making, freshness/quality of the proteins, and also not cooking long enough. Otherwise love 'em.!!. Don't eat there as much due to the price. We try to make it on Monday's to take advantage of the coupon/special. Kinda miss the location they closed near Johnson Ferry Rd & Lower Roswell Rd many many years ago. =( ...the Douglasville, GA location (WHICH SUCKED, so thank you) Pizzas are awesome, of course. Have been consistently done well. The Various Sauces/Dressings. The pretzels are good at times, kids love 'em. Hoagies are soooooo delicious. Can only eat half normally. Only complaint is why in the world would you put iceberg lettuce and tomatoes on the bottom of a Hot Sandwich. They turn to mush.. Package perfectly in deli paper, wrapped in foil, and delivered with a crisp pickle. Perfect. =D Staff are OK in general. Varies on who's there. Usually always a new face when we go. Some are more friendly and down to earth than others. We Carry Out Mostly. Hate to be one of those people but a Gluten Free Dough Option would be awesome (without paying more). My friend and I were craving pizza, so we came to this place. Instead of dining in, we ordered at the counter and sauntered over to the Goodwill for the 20 minutes it took to cook the pizza. By the time we came back 25 minutes later, we were asked to wait about 5 more minutes. Not a problem. The pizza ended up being delicious, piping hot, and cooked perfectly. It's hard to mess up a Mellow Mushroom pizza, and this location stays true to the delicious flavors. They don't offer a lot of seating options, so if you're waiting to pick up your pie, you may end up having to stand up. There was only one place to sit while we waited, and that was at the bench nearest to the door. Totally had a FML experience here on Saturday evening. I was forced to spend the weekend in the 'burbs because my parents were out of town and I had to dog and people sit. I was starving Saturday evening and was just finishing up running some errands and I thought a calzone sounded good. I was about 20 minutes away from the Shroom and so I called my order in. They said it would be about 30 minutes which was fine. I don't mind waiting. I arrive there 20 minutes later and sit in the car writing some emails. I go in exactly 30 minutes after I placed my order. I go up to the cashier to pay and holy shit my calzone was $12. Are you kidding me??? I just had this calzone for like $8 something the other week in Smyrna. I have to pay extra just because I'm in fricking East Cobb??? Whatever. they say it'll be a few more minutes and I have a seat to wait. I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting and there are kids running around everywhere and I even had my toes stepped on twice by a little rug rat. I was getting really annoyed really quick. 25 minutes later, a whopping 55 minutes after placing my order it was ready. Good lord. I get back to the parents house and sit down to eat the calzone. I thought to myself this shit better be good. Well guess what? It wasn't. It was all soggy and gross. It was like all watery or something. I am guessing that they put the veggies in there and they were still wet or something. It was gross. I was hungry and didn't have anything else to eat so I ate the unsoggy parts and called it a day. So annoyed by all of this. Next time I'm in East Cobb I'll be taking my pizza business elsewhere (probably to Bellacino's). read more

The Pizza is always good but... I wanted to order a deal they offer online and when I called they informed it was "online only" even though it isn't listed as such on the website, and they disable online ordering on friday nights from 4-9 pm. So when I called to place my order instead, the person on the phone rudely told me that since it was online only and I wasn't ordering online that I couldn't place that order and they don't offer any other type of deal over the phone. WOW. What horrible horrible customer service. They might as well have said "hi we don't need your business on friday night". I don't patronize pizza parlors much, and had never been to a Mellow Mushroom until last night, but decided to give them a try after seeing their menu had quite a number of interesting sandwiches. I came in a little after 5 PM. The place wasn't too crowded. When I left about an hour later, every table was filled. If you come at prime time, you may need to wait. Patrons seat themselves in this restaurant. There is a little counter area where single diners can sit, but when you sit there you feel like you're part of the service staff. It might be better to sit at a table. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich. The sandwiches come in half and whole portions. I got the whole portion. It's a good deal for $8.95. It doesn't come with anything else, but you can add chips for another dollar. The sandwich was very good, with fresh toasted bread and all the ingredients tasted fresh and savory. This particular sandwich was too spicy hot for me so I would try something else the next time I go. I really like the selection on the menu and some of the sandwiches look good to try, and the pizza too. The food and prices are good, but as far as dining in, I didn't feel there was much of an ambience. A large number of patrons come in and pick up take out orders. Next time I want Mellow Mushroom, I would do the take out option. They have six beers on tap, and I had a Sweetwater 420. They also had Hopsecutioner. If you want to dine in and have a beer with pizza, they have a few good selections for you. read more

We ordered two pizzas from here - the House special and the Holy Shiitake Pie. The House special was nothing special (ha!) but wasn't bad either. It is a-ok in my book, although the toppings on the pizza were so heavy, I couldn't pick up a slice cleanly without a lot of stuff slipping off. Not a terrible thing to have too many toppings though! The Holy Shiitake Pie got a thumbs up from everyone in our group - I kept going back for seconds of this one. Flavor and texture were spot on! So disappointed in tonight's take out order. Watching g football and we decide to order the Italian sub and ham and cheese sub. Husband brings order home and I find two soggy bottom subs, the ham and cheese was ordered with only lettuce and tomatoes but was loaded with onions, and one tomato on each half, no lettuce. Italian sub lacked flavor, and came with mayo when I was asked to leave off the mayo. I like Mellow Mushroom. Staff is generally good, pizzas are usually good. Bad night tonight... I grew up on this pizza! Literally, I have been eating at this location since I was 12 or so. It's such a hidden gem and their pizza is almost unbeatable. Nice staff, tons of parking, good beers on tap, great pizza tossing in the kitchen, and great cookies to boot. I just wished they delivered. :( Love you guys.
