Second trip to the lounge, tried the Vanilla Cinnamon Dolce latte and got my Almond Danish again. It was tasty but the Lavender Blueberry Latte is still my favorite. Great and quick service and comfy seating.

Love coming here to get my daily dose of coffee. Employees are great and so welcoming. Always clean, always inviting, this coffee shop is ideal for many occasions.

Melrose is a whole vibe! I love the setup! Soft lighting and plush couches! The owners are from Cali, and I talked to Nevin who was super nice! The bartenders were awesome and the drinks were on point! On Thursdays wine and margaritas are $7! The chicken skewers were tender and juicy. Three skewers was $10. Mr. Woodard played live music on his guitar! Come to find out we are from the same small town in Eastern NC! I will be coming back soon!

Hospitality 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Food N/A as I didn't order food, but I bet it'll be 10/10 A coffee shop like no other. Going forward this will set the standard for me for more reasons than one. Near the corner of E. Friendly Ave. and N. Church St. you will find black, glass doors which open to this newly opened shop. Once I walked through their doors, I was greeted with waves and smiles from the workers. You'll ask yourself if you stepped into the right place because the decor will make you think you walked into a restaurant. If you take a few steps up their stairs, you'll find a display of baked goods and your drink options. I ordered a 12 oz pumpkin latte with oat milk. There are no designs in the coffee and for me that isn't a make it or break it. I'll take quality of taste over latte art, and Melrose did not disappoint. I have no idea where they order their coffee from or how they create their recipes but I guarantee you their quality is greater than any coffee I've had in the Greensboro area. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't tired until I remembered I stopped at Melrose for a meeting and grabbed a coffee. I'm literally up past midnight, writing this review because I'm not tired and amazed at the amount of energy I have. I plan to come back here to try their bites (food) next time and take photos of my order and their offerings. I only caught video of the decor as my meeting ran me until the end of their closing time which was 5pm. I'd recommend this as a great spot for a coffee date, friend date, and work spot(they have wifi). FYI: 1)I heard they'll start serving wine next month. 2)If you use Google maps to get here it will have you park on E. Friendly. The entrance to the store is on N. Church St. or the same side of the street of the Downtown Public Library.

New coffee + cocktail spot in downtown Greensboro. I came for coffee but am excited to return for a drink. The interior is well decorated and would be a great place for a girls night out. They do have a dress code for the evenings, so make sure to check before going! The coffee was good and the Croissantwich was standard for a coffee shop. I planned on working here and enjoying my coffee, but they did not have any outlets accessible for charging my laptop.

I love this place! I really love the decor, how spacious it is inside and, of course, the coffee and pastries. The service is also fantastic. I've had a couple of their specialty lattes and both were so good! My hubby and I just came here for a special event the other night. We were an hour early, but the owners let us in and treated us like VIPs. We had such a great time. The night we went there was a DJ so we got to dance, too. It was nice to have a place to dance and not be in a club atmosphere. I highly recommend this place either to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a fun night out!

Yay! I love all the different coffee shops in downtown Greensboro, but this one has the best concept...coffee and alcohol!!! While they aren't serving alcohol yet, they will soon! The coffee is good! The space is Instagram worthy and large. You can have a business meeting or kick back with friends and just relax. I had a Ferrero Roche Latte, that I probably won't order again because of the chunks of hazelnut candy being a bit much for me, but the other flavors are yummy and their pastries hit the spot! The service was quick, but they weren't inundated with customers either. I like the location, but parking for grabbing a quick coffee isn't going to work, you're going to have to plan on taking some time to get a coffee here.

There's limited seating in the interior, but there's a large patio with extra seating. We attempted to sit on the patio, but the mosquitos had plans that we did NOT sign up for! So we went back inside to sit at the bar. I wish there was different barstools. Those were just too shallow and not very comfortable or supportive. Thank goodness they weren't too busy when we were there because there was only one seserver. He was super nice and attentive as he could be seeing as how he was running in and out to serve the interior and exterior guests and also making the drinks! Some drinks are specialty so they take time to actually make. I hope they covert their pass-through window into a door into improve efficiency. I ordered the mojit flight and my two friends orordered the Tequila, and Marguerita flights. General consensus was that the drinks were good , but a bit too sweet. I wish mine was served with mint leaves like the menu pictures, but I didn't ask for them or why they weren't included. Overall, I'd go back with my girlies and try something different.

Lewis and Elm delivers a 5 star experience on so many levels. Many people I've spoken with think it's just a wine bar. Oh no, it goes well beyond your typical wine bar. First off, they have a full bar with a huge specialty cocktail list, craft beers, non alcoholic options and even THC drinks. We had amazing wine off of their impressive list, plus a few cocktails that were mixed extremely well. The food: amazing to say the least. Charcuteries, meats, cheeses, apps, finger foods, and a few uniques you have to get (one in particular). We enjoyed a beautifully plated charcuterie (see pic), the caprese bruschetta, a goat cheese pesto bruschetta, and that one in particular: the medjool dates. Everything was delicious, but these dates were on another level. The dates were surrounded by a bed of creamy Brie cheese melted perfectly, topped with crispy prosciutto and sprinkled with a balsamic reduction. All of this is easily mopped up with the fresh focaccia the dish comes with. This dish rocked! It was perfect on its own, but paired amazingly well with both the chilled white wine and the cocktails we were enjoying. The vibe is amazing as well. Upscale but super comfy interior. Come casual or dressed to impress, it all works here. Live music on the weekends add to the atmosphere and the whole experience. Come for the whole evening, or pre-dinner/pre-show drinks and bites, or even for a night cap after a dinner or show. Come for a quick pit stop, or stay for the live music. It's an all around excellent experience with great drinks, food, service and vibe.

The menu reflects this with cocktails, wine and beer and the menu is extensive on the beverages! The food menu is terrific and has so much variety and some really nice plates small and large. It was a theater night when we went and we had a 7.30 show to goto and our server knew that. We got there at 5.30 so figured that gave us the 10 mins to walk to the theater to be on time. We started off with some drinks. My friend loved her cherry ale and I really enjoyed my G&T , the glass it came in was just so unusual. The G&T took awhile to finally make it to me but i loved it. We ordered the tuna tartare and that was delicious and served up with fried green tomatoes which was a different take on it. Nice and fresh and nicely presented. Our entrees were the salmon for my friend and I had the Bahn mi chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Usually this sandwich is with pork so I wanted to try this. The service for our dinner took almost 45 mins we had finished the app awhile back and my grind had another drink and still we were waiting. It was closing in on 6.50 Pm and at this point we would be inhaling our food when it came and rushing out the door . It came at 7pm and the sandwich was good but they should mention on the menu that it has mayonnaise on it as I don't like that but there was quite a bit on the bun. Not typically in this type of sandwich so I wasn't expecting it. The chicken was a good and flavorful and lots of other veggie fillings and the fries were great. My friend really enjoyed her salmon and the risotto it came with. Just disappointed we had to eat it all so quickly and leave some so we could pay and leave. We had our eye on the lemon posset tart for dessert but we didn't have time . We just thought since the server knew we had theater tickets she would have been more on top of it. Yes they were busy as it was a show night but the place wasn't totally full. Seemed like no urgency when we asked how long the food would be as we had to leave soon. I'd maybe try this place again on a non show night, as I thought they had a great menu. I enjoyed the place just not the service as we barely made the show before the lights went down.

I inquired about the wine tasting for $5.00 and was told you would receive 2 tastings of white wine. Perhaps they do reds on a different night but I didn't ask. There is a written wine list of reds and whites to order full glasses of whites or reds which should suffice. I asked folks what they were drinking and there were many red wine-o's ha ha. The Bordeaux drinkers were happy with their choice and the Malbec drinkers were satisfied with their choice and commented the wine was soft. I chose a cold Chenin Blanc mostly cuz I haven't seen it on a menu in the Triad for quite some time. It was quite good great nose of sweetness but dry enough to be a good all round table wine. Its similar to Pinot Gregio but not dry or tart. I think when I'm back in GSO I will stop in to this unique wine bar again as it was a nice experience and everyone seemed very chill and friendly.
