From walking in the front door, there is never any rush from the wait staff to hurry through your experience. Beautiful dark tones, panel windows, and warm lighting make for a dreamy date night. I recommend ordering whatever is seasonal for a salad to share...for us it was a delicious heirloom salad. If I went again, I'd pass on the fries/aoli, it wasn't bad but nothing special like all of the other dishes. The rigatoni ala vodka was a great pasta option after a salad and the roasted chicken was perfectly juicy with a nice crisp on the outside. Both dishes left just enough room for the chocolate tarte with coffee to end the night. For drinks, the Diablo was fantastic! I recommend a reservation, and planning to spend 1-1.5 hours here. I recently made it down to memoir and I was thoroughly impressed. Although the hostess stand seemed a bit backed up (and I couldn't quite sort of why it was taking so long to seat each party), the remaining experience was incredible. The interior decorating and decor the restaurant establish a cozy but cool vibe, without the tables feeling too crowded with each other. While I didn't know this prior to making the reservation, Memoir places emphasis and focus on sustainable product sourcing, including grass fed beef, sustainably, caught, seafood, and organic/non-GMO products. I thoroughly enjoyed what I got to eat at Memoir. We had the yellow tail sashimi to start as well as meatballs, which were delicious. For my main, I had the rigatoni and the kale and farro salad, both of which were very very good. I had a Soho sour as my accompanying NA cocktail, which was also tasty. Where does Warren Buffet eat in Omaha? I don't know, but he should eat here. The food is outstanding and the service is top notch. We were on a driving trip east from Denver and stopped in on a Tuesday night, expecting it to be easy to get a table at 6:00. The restaurant turned out to be busy, but the hostess was very accommodating and managed to get us a very nice table. My wife and I shared the grilled focaccia and I had the Prime Flat Iron Range Steak with rice. My wife had the Seared Tuna Chop Salad. Great place for brunch! the interior made me feel like it was going to be expensive but it is decently priced. The brunch menu is superior, my husband got the Memoir dip and was not that impressed (mainly the bread) and our friend got the bolognese and didn't like it that much (portion size was a lot smaller). Although the starters we got were fantastic, the hash-browns and the poppers. I also got the eggs benedict and the french toast. I highly recommend both! I'm giving this 4 stars because it's not some place I am going to go out of my way to visit again. The dip was great! I wish it had a little more flavor than just cheese. The Caesar salad was to die for and my friend's salad looked incredible. I think I would get a salad if I had to do it over again. The hasbrowns were okay. The fact that they were loaded almost made it a meal vs being a side. The chicken sandwich was delicious but just huge and I couldn't finish it. As for drinks: I tried my friend's espresso martini and it was disgusting. Way too bitter and we gave the feedback to the server. He said he would comp it (which is not why we said that, we just wanted to give the feedback) but then he never did. We also asked him to split the salad on the check and he didn't either. Minor details, as I could tell they're working hard on their service quality. There is one person hired solely to refill water and take away plates. Next time I go I am getting the mimosa bottle service. Just about every table around us had that and it looked amazing. You definitely need to. It's not too much and priced just right! The area was quaint, beautiful colors, and had plants and gigantic mirrors for days. Plot twist: two gals had a photoshoot going on outside of the bathrooms. This is a lovely addition to Omaha. It is an absolutely stunning environment. The towering windows and mirrors make the large space feel even bigger. This vibrant, chic space is adorned with greenery, an upscale bar and comfortable dining seating. The staff was extremely accommodating and we received top notch service. For our brunch visit we opted to try quite a few things on the menu. Some standouts included the kale and bacon dip, as well as the loaded hash brown. The Caesar salad was above average, adding their own spin on it with potato chips - it was done right. I got the banana bread French toast which I really enjoyed but it was almost too sweet. A nearly impossible feat, indeed, but I do think it would have been better with the syrup on the side rather than dowsed. The espresso martini was probably my least favorite item ordered. My party agreed something was slightly off about it, bitter but somehow lacking the robust coffee flavor. The cocktail offerings all sounded superb though, so I'm up for trying something different on my next visit. The temptation is high to choose to get bottle service mimosas next time - they have a variety of flavors and price was realistic at $30/bottle. read more

An absolutely fabulous addition to the Omaha restaurant scene. Thanks to Instagram, I heard about this place before it opened and was able to get a reservation for their first weekend. First, the decor. It is a beautiful space. The mirrors make it seem bigger than it is as does the huge open kitchen. The attention to detail is obvious in the rocks glass design that mimics the logo, the metal toothpicks for the drinks, and the monogrammed bread plates. We started with the Men of the West cocktail, the carpaccio, and the nigiri sampler. We had a debate at the table what the inspiration for the cocktail name was - one of us sure it was an Old West reference and the other thinking it was Lord of the Rings. We asked our waitress who checked and our little geek hearts loved that it is LOTR reference. Not to mention it is a fun new twist on an Old Fashioned. The Nigiri sampler was a great start with tuna, Scottish Salmon, and yellowtail. The quality of the fish was outstanding, hard to say which bite was my favorite. We stayed with the raw theme and also had the carpaccio. It is a nice mild base for the Parmesan and crispy capers. The focaccia bread served with it was perfect, but the star of the dish was oddly the crispy capers, they really took it up a notch. Our mains were the Scottish Salmon and the Pasta Amatriciana. The salmon sat on a bed of pea and carrot risotto that seemed to be manifesting Spring. It was perfectly cooked risotto, which is saying something. The salmon, while lightly covered in sauce, still has a crispy skin. I could eat this dish over and over again. The pasta is made in house and was perfectly al dente in a mild red sauce. Both were good, but the salmon was the winner for us. We closed with more cocktails, this time trying the scofflaw, and dessert. The scofflaw is a surprisingly light drink for a whiskey cocktail and a new favorite of mine. For dessert we had the chocolate torte and the berries and cream. Each of us picked one of these as a favorite dessert, so a nice variety. While I love chocolate, the panna cotta in the berries and cream was my personal preference, with the mint leaves the perfect touch. If there was any off note it was the uneven pacing. This is food meant to be savored, yet our mains came out before we had finished our starters and at a two-top table there wasn't even space so we had to scramble a bit. And then things swung the other direction. We put in the order for our second round of cocktails when our mains were delivered but had to remind our waitress about them later. We got them as we finished our meal. Fortunately we had already decided to try dessert. Despite this I would say service overall was good. There is a plethora of staff swarming around keeping an eye on everything. At one point I noticed a waiter with a dessert in his hands get stopped by a patron. Another staff person swooped by and took the dessert to the waiting table so the original waiter could keep talking. It was like a choreographed dance. I'm sure the minor thing of the pacing will get evened out. We were there the Saturday evening of their very first week, so some grace is due. I look forward to seeing how the kinks are worked out next time we go, because we're already planning to return! read more

You can get sushi, steak, Mediterranean, everything they do under one roof. And everything is delicious! They are well staffed, and attentive, and always happy to see you. We have been there several times and gotten a variety of different entrées and appetizers and drinks each time. Everything is wonderful. The restaurant is well appointed, quiet for a relaxing meal for two or a group, well staffed, with beautiful artwork. I understand the concept they were trying to bring to this restaurant... you can't really expect to stubble upon it, you definitely need a reservation. I've been here twice and both times reservations seem be an issue. The first time the host literally told the other host "we just gave her reservation away"... now I understand if I was late in the slightest... but I was on time, 2 mins early at that. They made us wait and sat us a mediocre spot (outside). The reservation spot I had requested was much better considering it was a date night for my husband and I. Whatever.... we sat OUTSIDE on a chilly night and ate cold food. Recently tried to give it another chance... didn't go well either. Service needs improvement. Employees need more training on respecting people's time and being more apologetic when it's their own fuck up. Thanks for the horrible experiences here. Without them, it made that roll just ordinary and it was a picture showing the dish 2 Maki Lunch with salad from a few months ago with the avocado on top, that made us want to go to Memoir in the first place. Our last dinner for our anniversary celebration. We popped in and got real lucky snagging a table on a Monday night! We were greeted right away. The service was quick and concise. Our drinks were never empty and yet it was not overbearing. We believe our waitress was Brandy or something along those lines. She recommended the Bacon-Kale spread with Pita. It was phenomenal. We went for it straight with the pita, and in hind sight we will use knives to spread it. I ordered the pyro burger with fries and their dairy based vinaigrette alongside the ketchup for my fries.
