Stopped by here after finding it on Yelp and seeing all the great reviews. I was looking for a quick late-night bite after getting off a plane. I didn't realize it would be full-on club/party vibes when I walked in, so I wasn't sure how easy it'd be to actually grab food to go, but one of the bartenders quickly took my order. I got four tacos, the Fisherman, the Shrimp Chimichuri, the Vegan and the Fish curry. All of them were super flavorful and fresh! The bartender mentioned the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, so I was worried I'd be getting bottom-of-the-barrel food, but that definitely wasn't the case. The crowd was mostly Spanish-speaking, really friendly, and just having a good time. It was pretty dark inside, but one of the customers even brought over a table lamp so I could see the menu better.... such a nice gesture. So I was out to see a customer off Memorial and he had stepped out for lunch so I figured I do the same. A quick Yelp of the area and MTs popped up. So off I was. I was surprised to see a nice set up. Most taco places aren't this nice. They have a full bar and stave for a music as it was all set up. On to the tacos. Not sure which was my favorite. All very good and can get them on corn or flour. I asked for corn but got flour. Not enough of a problem to send back They have lot of options as for tacos, but they also have burritos and nachos and beans and rice so they got options. And the chimichurri is home made. Dry food. The piano says "wine", but this place is about the Ritas! Well...actually, it's more about the tacos! I arrived around 3:30 on a Monday and the place was dead. I was the first one in, and surprised at how dark the spot is overall. Note to self: happy hour starts at 4 not 3:30, but It's cool, I still got my Rita. I ordered the watermelon mint Rita to be exact, and watching it being made gave me club vibes (or maybe that was the Vegas bomb and Mexican Candy shots on the menu). Anyways, as far as the flavor- too artificial for my personal taste, but that doesn't mean it'd be a miss for someone else! The chips and queso were forgettable, just slight spiced yellow cheese. Luckily the tacos saved the day. The chipotle beef & brisket, the meats alone were fabulous, tender, and well seasoned. If you have a low heat tolerance know that the Chipotle beef is spicy, but I would personally found it to be perfectly spiced! I'm biased cause the Friday night estero cover band rocks this tiny house till midnight. Love the mixed drinks! the mixologist puts on an awesome show that competes with the band. Get here early on Friday night cause it's very small and gets packed quick. Tacos are life here so order up before 9pm. Kitchen closes at 10 but it stops taking orders at 9 if it's packed which usually is every Friday night. Every mixed drink I had here was damn it boy well done! Anyways, we walked in and stood there for like an awkward minute mind you employees were looking at us behind the bar. There isn't any direction as to if we should sit ourselves or wait to be seated. Herd this place had a good taco Tuesday deal. It's 4 street tacos steak or chicken with onion , cilantro and an avocado slice . I ordered the steak to go. It was a nice size for the $10. I ate one and it was delicious. My second one however, had a black hair in it I was lucky enough to see before I rolled it up. I then inspected the other 2 and found another. Being a long way from the restaurant I threw the rest away. I'm guessing the kitchen staff doesn't wear any head gear in the kitchen so I won't go back. Use at your own risk. read more

About two weeks ago I was there with my friends and my husband and the bar back guy picked up our cups and he was nice to us at that moment. Today may 8th I am receiving phone calls from the manager (the lady) threatening me with my life because she said I am harassing an employee I been there once and this happens, she cannot call me from the business phone number and other numbers to threaten people just because she feels like. I will make a police report because this behavior is outrageous. You place your order and pay at the bar counter and then can seat yourself where ever you are comfortable. Since it was a weekday lunch they offered several lunch specials; basically some combo of a taco + rice and beans, chips, or nachos and an iced tea. This was a good way to get a perfectly portioned lunch meal. I opted for the grilled shrimp taco with chips and salsa. Someone I was with got the same taco but with nachos and I had FOMO - I missed out on the queso with the chips. I think if I were to come again over lunch I would opt to get 2 tacos instead of the lunch combo so I could try more of the menu - they have a lot of taco options!
