    Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada
    Tina T.

The parking situation here already sucks, it's going to be so much worse once all the other stores open. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. I was in line for 20 minutes before I even got to place my order. Then it took another 20 mins for my food to be ready. I love their Avocado Quinoa Superfood Ensalada. I always ask for the dressing on the side. For $13.50, I wish it was bigger or included protein. I also like their housemade drinks, but they are very sweet so i do dilute it with water.

First timer at Mendocino and I was super impressed! I thought it would be bland healthy food but after my first big bite of the Not So Fried chicken sandwich, my mind was blown! I love ciabatta bread, fried chicken and slaw already so this sandwich was already giving what it needed to give! 12/10 for me! My partner said her favorite is the turkey avo salsa verde so that's next to try! Oh and the employees were sooo nice as soon as we entered! Was greeted with smiles and kindness. Definitely going back! One sandwich at a time

    Chimichurri Steak & Bacon

Quality ingredients but very expensive for the quantity of food! I ordered the Chimichurri Steak and Bacon Sandwich and it was delicious! The steak was very tender and flavorful with the chimichurri sauce. The bacon added a crispy salty addition which complimented the steak perfectly. For the price of $15.95 it was expensive for the small size. It did not include any sides. It would be a much better value if it was served with a side salad or soup. The fresh lemonade and tea selection is amazing! I tried all the lemonades and teas and they were refreshing and tasted fresh with no artificial flavors. My favorite was the Pomegranate Mint Lemonade. It was slightly tart, sweet from the pomegranate and had a fresh mint flavor. Service was good as the workers were helpful and friendly. The employees serving the food were pleasant and apologized for the extremely long wait.

Adj: New location experiencing some growing pains This is the newest Mendocino Farms location in greater Sacramento area. I've enjoyed Mendo's various sandwiches ever since they entered our region, but at this newly opened branch, I decided to get a salad. When I first arrive a little after 3 pm, I was surprised to see the parking lot was pretty full. Thankfully, there are some EV parking spots open, so I was able to park at one. Ironically, a silver Honda Pilot was parking at the EV spot just left of me, so apparently people just park anywhere they can without regards to whether they're supposed to park there. The parking here really is not good. It will deter me from visiting again. They're still doing some landscaping or such projects here as I saw a parking spot being taken up by a pallet of cinder blocks. Hmmm... that doesn't seem like a good use of a parking spot meant for customers. As I approached the restaurant, I saw that they're still finalizing the "landscaped" area which is paved with artificial turf and has several "logs" for benches but still roped off with yellow caution tape, so not ready for customers use yet. Once I was inside, I was just 2nd in line and ordered a Thai mango salad with chicken with dressing on the side instead of tossed. The salad took awhile to come out, more than 20 minutes. As I was waiting, it occurred to me that maybe my order was forgotten as I had told them I didn't need a receipt so I didn't even have any way to proof I ordered except for the metal number sign at my table. So I went up and asked a manager or lead person who I saw circling around restaurant and delivering orders to tables, and he said he'd check for me and said it'll be a little longer. Not too long after, he came by with my salad which looked great and (tasted great). Unexpectedly, he apologizes for the long wait and said he would see about doing something to compensate for our wait. He came back moments later with 3 chocolate cookies which was very kind of him. So in addition to the BBQ chips I ordered, I had a dessert cookie waiting for me later. I was pretty full after my salad, which I even shared with my kids. This was a late lunch as we had eaten a very late breakfast/early lunch. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the design was good although I didn't like the long table in the middle, I'd prefer if they had way more smaller tables and more seating in general. I also noticed they were quite swamped even at 3pm as after I ordered the line grew to like 8-10 people long, so I was telling my kids we got here just in time! Space-wise, I do like the decor and general ambiance of this Mendocino Farms, but it felt a bit too industrial and sterile and not as cozy as I would prefer, I like the Freeport Blvd location's layout and feel more with more small tables and chairs for more privacy while dining than with long tables like we're in some kind of cafeteria. Overall, I hope this Mendo does well, but their parking situation is a big deterrence and I see there's new establishments like Philz Coffee right next door, plus Shake Shack, Chik-Fil-A, and Yard House sharing the same general area already. Then Whole Foods is also opening up soon, I can't imagine how tough the parking may get. I may visit again, but definitely not during actual meal times when "down times" are still busy.

TBH this would be a three star rating if I had paid full price for my meal, but since I had a coupon and they just opened, I'm being more forgiving. This is of many Mendocino Farms locations. Location: Currently, for some reason maps directs you to across the street. This business is in the same parking lot as Whole Foods. First off, the wait was long; the line to order wasn't long, but the wait for the food to come out is kind of ridiculous considering the kind of food they're making is on par with the type of food Panera does (and should take about the same length of time in my opinion). It was a 30 minute wait after ordering, and there didn't seem to be nearly the number of customers waiting that ended up being there closer to 9pm. That said, I understand it'll take time to train staff and become more efficient, but you'll likely want to wait a while before giving them a shot if you don't have time to be sitting around. Order at the counter and then they'll bring it out to you. Clear your own tray if dining in by the drink area. Service: We were warmly greeted upon entering. Then another staff, the cashier, was welcoming and friendly as well. Seating: There's a good amount of seating inside, and a nice dining area outside as well. Food: I had the Thai Mango Wrap (with Chicken). There's an option of chicken or tofu. I personally don't recommend changing a salad to wrap. It's a higher price ($1) for a smaller portion of the ingredients, unless you really want a tortilla for some reason...flavor of the wrap was fine, nothing amazing, but it seemed like I was eating more tortilla than anything else. I tried a bite of my husband's sandwich, the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon, and while I much preferred the taste of that, it was slightly too sauce heavy for me. In summary, always nice to have another addition to the EG dining options, but right now the waits a bit longer than one would expect. Additionally, considering the price to size ratio, many of their dishes are a few bucks higher than what I think is appropriate.

Disappointing. Brand New just opened Mendocino Farms. I've had their sandwiches many times, mostly at catered events and I've always had positive experiences. This time, with the grand opening in Elk Grove, I figured it should be good too, but the Peruvian Steak Sandwich with seared Aji Amarillo steak, melted Oaxacan cheese, shredded romaine, tomatoes, red onions, and herb aioli with a spicy Aji Amarillo sauce, served on a toasted potato roll came out really soggy. We ordered online in advance and I was waiting in the dining room and picked it up as soon as it was ready so it shouldn't have been soggy, but I think the sauce was overwhelming the sandwich. It had a lot of heat, probably more than I can handle, but then my wife who can take quite a lot of spicy heat said it was way too spicy and couldn't really taste the flavor bc her tongue was just burning. Not sure if it was supposed to be so super spicy, but I wanted beef so I thought this steak sandwich would be good but it was disappointing. I've had their Not So Fried chicken, their Farm Club sandwich, and their Chicken Pesto Caprese sandwich and all 3 were good with my fav bring the farm club as long as there's enough creamy spread on it. The Not So Fried is good as a more indulgent choice, but this day was not good with the Peruvian steak sandwich. The parking was challenging too as the lot was very small for the amount of people coming on the opening day of 6/23 which was when I came, around 3pm, so not even at lunch or dinner time, but in between. A staff was finishing her shift and we got her vacated spot otherwise we would've had to park at a neighboring establishment's parking lot and walk over. The restaurant itself was very nicely designed and very clean, but almost too sterile. The staff were friendly and welcomed everyone coming in, but it was packed. The lemon cookie I got was tiny, I guess I forgot how small their desserts are and was mixing up with Panera in my mind bc I expected a much bigger cookie for $3.50 and it was a 2 bites dessert for me, so I just gave it to my kids who can at least enjoy it for a little longer. Usually the catered boxed lunches came with both a cookie and a bag of chip so maybe that's why I never felt like those lunches were missing something. All in all, disappointing and would be really pricey for a $16 sandwich that wasn't all that big either except we got the special offer of the free entree with any purchase. Hopefully they'll offer more deals as I don't think their prices are that reasonable for what you get.

They just opened last week here in Elk Grove. another place to eat . It is in the new strip mall that Whole Foods will be in soon. We came here the other week and they were training the staff. If you downloaded their app you got a free entree. So my wife did and got an email with the offer. This strip mall is bad on parking. It is too small but we were able to find a spot. They had a lot of staff for the first week open. They were not prepared for the amount of customers. The service was slow. But that is to be expected when opening a new place. We ordered on the app and ahead of time. Our order was to be ready at 5:00. We placed the order at 4:35. A little long for 2 sandwiches and a soup. when we arrived it was not ready. It was ready 7 minutes after 5PM. We decided to eat there. It of course was clean. Not too big of a place . it had a giant table in the middle of the dinning room. Seating outdoors too. The front had fake grass area with lights strung across. It was kind of a waste of space but I know people want the looks. The wife got the Farm Club. The bread seemed stale , maybe old. The inside of the sandwich tasted ok. I got the Prosciutto and Chicken. It was supposed to be panini pressed which it was but totally cold sandwich and not like it was pressed recently. I liked the flavor of it. I got the Lemon chicken & Farro soup. on top was alot of baby spinach but that was it. Very little chicken or other stuff but good flavor. Kind of not worth it. Hopefully they get better as time goes by.

Mendocino in Elk Grove officially opened on June 23, 2026. It's located in a newer shopping complex next to Yard House (opened June 22, 2026), with Philz Coffee expected to open July 8, 2026. Parking: Free, but limited since many spots are currently taken up by construction and renovation crews. Ambience: Casual, clean, and well-ventilated. The space has a good customer flow and appears adequately staffed. I placed an online order through their OLO platform. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized my drink was missing. What was confusing is that the drink line item had been crossed off on the to-go bag, as if it had been included in the order. I had to call twice to follow up for resolution. They eventually refunded the missing item, and the corporate office also provided a coupon for a future visit. Good first impression with clean space and decent operations, but the missing item and needing multiple follow-ups bring it down. The resolution (refund + coupon) helps, but it still feels like an execution issue during a new opening phase.

Came to check out the new location on a Friday night and they were surprisingly busy! Not usually busy for dinner considering this is more of a lunch type of spot. I think there was a lot of overflow from Yardhouse. Even though this location is new, I felt the food and service did not reflect that. The sandwich and salad we ordered was on par with other locations and service was good as usual. There is indoor and outdoor seating; but, note that the indoor seating consists of one long communal style table and a few small tables. Parking lot is not the biggest and it was quite full, yet, did not have trouble getting a spot!

Mendocino Farms in Elk Grove?!?? Yaaasss!!!! We are so thrilled! It's beautiful inside & patio seating is inviting with a foosball table included. At first we were going to sit inside but decided to sit outside bc on 6.22.26 the morning was nice and cool at 75 degrees. I had avocado & quinoa superfood ensalada salad & was very pleased with it. I had it without the salad dressing. My wife had the Chen's Crispy rice salad without the rice & cilantro but with chicken. She enjoyed her salad with dressing included. It hit the spot perfectly. We love that they opened Mendocino Farms here practically in our backyard. The servers here were very helpful & asking if you need anything. We were served well. We will be back so I'm sure we will be regulars. This is our 7th different Mendocino Farms we have visited as we are true fans of this restaurant. Gotta love it!

Came prob around 12-12:30 on sunday. Soo busy. Highly recommend ordering online to pickup. Waited a couple minutes to order. Ordered peruvian steak sandwich and thai mango salad. Both were like 15.95 or smth like that, we had bogo promotion so total was a lil over 17. Got togo bc no spots inside or outside. Waited ~30 mins for the food. Overall taste was pretty good, sandwhich had good flavor, steak was a bit salty, more veggie or lettuce or wtv would be nice. Decent amount of chicken n mango in the salad, dressing tasted nice, lot of herbs. If i had to pay full price for both i would pass, its quite expensive and portion size is quite small imo. Tasted good and healthy-ish tho.

The opening was full of people. Heard there were coupons available so it made sense. But was very surprised how efficient the place was. Got my order in very short time. Staff were very nice and efficient in making the orders and taking care of the customers. I had friendly interactions throughout even when I asked for an extra side of dressing. I ordered the Thai Mango Salad. Really good tasty salad. Not my usual style but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Iva had their Chen's Crispy rice salad in the past at other locations and that's more my style but I enjoyed the Thai mango very much. Will repeat often most likely since it's closer to me and their salads and sandwiches are a healthier alternative to burgers when I'm feeling like I need that health kick for dinner or lunch.

I decided to stop by on their second day opening because I received a BOGO offer. This location is much bigger than the one I usually visit. The interior is bright, clean, and has plenty of seating. I placed my order online and was pleasantly surprised that it was ready before the estimated pickup time. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me and helped me retrieve my order from the pickup shelf. They also made sure everything I ordered was in the bag. I ordered the Golden State Cobb and the Modern Caesar. Both salads were fresh, flavorful, and loaded with quality ingredients. The portions were also much larger than they appeared! Overall, I had a great experience on just the second day after the grand opening. Everything went smoothly, and I have no complaints about my order.

The urban fries show up first (like an appetizer), then a 10-15 wait until the sandwiches are served. IMO our food should have arrived together or at least a few minutes apart not 10-15 minutes. The BMLT were nicely toasted and my girls enjoyed their food, while my Tri-tip sandwich was overall cold except for the Tri-tip (warm but not hot) which was a disappointment. The bun was cool and not toasted or warmed up on the grill top and the slice of cheese used was cold like it was just pulled from the refrigerator while the lettuce and tomato was more at room temp; so when eating the sandwich that warm, then cold in one bite confused my taste buds or was the kitchen just ready to go home? The best part of my meal was spending time with my family while eating the fries because it was warm and crispy, even though served earlier than expected.

You first go to the salad bar, which is a meal in itself, and a delicious one. I would not be exaggerating to refer to every item in it as a delicacy - and it's all you can eat! But you don't want to eat too much of it, because what comes next is better. Waiters start coming to your table with skewers of meat - chicken, pork, and beef - lots of beef -that have just come from a rotisserie in the kitchen. They cut off slices for you, and they keep cutting them off until you tell them to stop. And they have sixteen different kinds of meat so a different waiter shows up at your table every couple of minutes with a different skewer. I have never said this about a restaurant before, but everything I ate was delicious. Not just good, but roll your eyes up in your head and moan out loud good. And the service was fantastic. They didn't just wait on us, they doted on us. Needless to say, I give thus unpronounceable Brazilian restaurant my highest recommendation.
