    Strawberry Waffles
    Nevaeh S.

Was looking to try a new brunch spot and came across this one! We stopped by around 11AM and were greeted and seated immediately. The aesthetic seems to be a modern country diner. Had lots of cute illustrations on the walls too! They have such a large menu so it took us awhile to decide but we ended up getting 1 California Benedict w/ English Muffin and no tomatoes - still came with tomatoes though ($17.99) and 1 Strawberry Waffle w/o Walnuts ($16). We thought the waffle would be bigger or come with 2 for the price but it still tasted very good. The strawberries were quite sour though. The benedict was super delicious, I really enjoyed the flavor and texture compared to others I've tried before. I also really enjoyed the potatoes as well as they had a nice crunch to them. Our food did take quite a bit to come out, we waited for about 40 minutes but it was worth the wait. The only thing we were a bit sad about was that they were out of alcohol so we didn't have a chance to try the mimosas but we'll definitely be back again to try more of the menu! They also offer 4% off if you pay in cash, took about $5 off our total.

Service was a little slow but food came out pretty quickly. Sac downtown brunch quality so no need to drive down there to have brunch with your friends when you can have that here! Not too much seating as we thought it would be more spacious but it's nice. Worth a try

First time eating here. Excellent service. Great food. Fair pricing. Will definitely go back.

If you're in for a soggy Waffle Experience, this is the place! I have been here few years ago and remembered it being great, however on my most recent visit, the quality is total opposite of what i remember.

Came early Sunday morning. Got seated. One server, a few tables. Not even that many to be considered busy or anything because server just standing around. Service was very slow. Food to get to the table was very slow. Server never checked up on us, had empty cups most of the time. Really basic inside. Food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything amazing. I thought I was going to enjoy this place more but I wasn't impressed. Probably won't come back again.

The establishment is under new management. They do not have a liquor license which was a bummer because I was looking forward to a blood Mary. Customer service was excellent. The waitress was very bubbly and attentive. The food was good. I ordered something basic based on the reviews and new ownership. As you can see from the picture my waffle was missing an entire side. Would be open to giving them one more try.

What we had: Sausage and waffles California Benedict Chicken fried steak and eggs They were all yummy and a generous portion than I remember, nothing special in comparison to other brunch place. The gravy on the chicken fried steak had a nice texture (not too thick) and tasty This place has an indoor and outdoor space. We came in on a Saturday at 1130 and the crowd was already dying down and was seated right away. We were greeted and sat by a really sweet host with pink eye lashes. She had this spunk to her that was engaging. I would have just rated this place a 3 and the extra star is for her. Will definitely come again. Must support local!

I cannot believe I have not written a review for here!! The Waffle Experience is near our home. We have had many different menu options from here over the years. Depending on your taste buds, their waffle can be on the sweet dessert side or more on the regular meal scale. We've enjoyed their salads, BLT sandwiches, fruits, pork belly, chicken fried steak and eggs, and much more!! The service has always been awesome!! The owner comes around from time to time. Matter of fact, I ran into him at Costco while shopping, he was very cheerful and said hello!! Overall, it has always been a nice treat for us!!

Everybody loved their food! Mine was the angus burger, I ordered it medium rare but it came out a little more rare than I wanted to. But I was still able to finish it. Seasoned potatoes were really good, well seasoned, some have crispy skin, which I loved. My company enjoyed their orders as well. I saw how well the eggs were cooked on their benedicts! The yolk was oozing. Service was great! Staff were attentive and quick. Some of their prices were okay but I find the straberry waffle a little pricey. Looks like half waffle with strawberry for $15!! But I would still come back. They have other menus that are worth coming back for.

Just want to state I luv waffles. Ambiance Rustic place very clean. Country music playing I like it. There is a counter to eat brings back fond memories of having breakfast with my dad. Service Megan who is owner was very friendly. Her husband is the chef. I asked her to warm my syrup and she did. Waffle Combo Eggs Chicken apple sausage Seasoned potatoes Full of flavor. Will try one of these next time. Chicken fried steak with tenderized ribeye, sauce made in house. Eggs Benedict, sauce made in house, one walked by and wow looks good. Will b back when in area for breakfast.

The Waffle Experience has a rustic barn/modern vibe. Very cute- they have their mimosa options chalked on the wall and the kitchen area has a rustic barn feel to it. The service exceeded my expectations. Friendly service, checked on us often, and seemed to really care about the customer experience. I couldn't decided on the strawberry waffles or the waffle combo and with the help of the friendly staff ended up going with her recommendation and got the waffle combo, sunny side up, apple sausage, potatoes and waffles. The breakfast was great, everything was cooked perfectly and the waffles were crispy on the outside and moist. There were so many options to pick from and will have to come back and check out their lunch items next time..... and the bottomless mimosa!

The Babe up close and personal withy the proteins

I came in on a Saturday around 10:30 AM to beat the brunch rush and ended up staying until closing. I ordered The Babe on a herb waffle, with a side salad and the bottomless guava-flavored mimosa. The herb waffle was delicious and complemented the sandwich beautifully. I asked for my patty medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The sandwich also included a layer of carnitas that was well-seasoned and hit the spot in terms of flavor and protein. The rest of my party ordered the Eggs Florentine, Classic Waffle Combo, The Lard, Carnitas Plate, and the Classic Combo--all of which were delicious. The kitchen did a great job cooking everything to order and handling special requests (like extra-extra crispy bacon) with care. Service was excellent, even with a small staff. I really appreciated the hostess, Janessa, who checked in on us and kept our water glasses filled. Our server, Kristina, was incredibly patient and thorough. She took the time to listen to each of our requests and made sure everyone felt comfortable asking for modifications. She reassured us that it was no trouble at all, and it really made a difference. Despite the weekend crowd, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and composed. My only critique is that the establishment should consider hiring more help, especially on busy weekends. The current team worked hard and did a fantastic job, but they definitely could use some backup.

Is it cheap? No but everyone has higher prices now and it's often not good. This place was delicious. Great variety of items. Service was friendly and efficient. Everything tasted fresh and had a little extra touch. Eggs Benedict was delicious and the toasted English muffin was crispy and buttery. The pork belly hash was also great. The side of fries were a little small but who needs to take leftovers home anyway. The Cajun chicken sandwich could have used more seasoning on the chicken but otherwise everyone enjoyed their brunch. I feel the quality justifies the prices here.

Do they offer bottomless mimosa specials?

Mimosa carafe and you get full bottle of champagne which serves 4-5 people. I think it's $32

Are they offering outdoor seating with new guidelines for the county?

Yes, they have outdoor seating. It is available anytime the weather is good. Keep in mind, it gets VERY hot out there, so either get there early or avoid it on hot days.

Are you able to make reservations?

Yes just not on weekends. Yelp waitlist works great!

The worst part was when I got home. Sweet potatoes fries were super soggy so I had to air fry it. What's unforgivable was that on my Po boy, they gave me a tiny strip of burnt chicken!!! It was super dry too The tartar sauce on the sandwich was good so I give them that, and Country fried steak was decent... but when you mess up the one thing you should be good at and you make guest wait 30+ minutes for burnt food, that's something you can't overlook. We had the chance to try them when they were good but the quality has gone downhill while price has increased. I won't be coming back. Tip: call in advance to order or expect to wait a lifetime. Maybe ask if it would be faster to dine in? They close at 3pm too. Check your chicken before you go home. $16 for po boy not worth it. Don't upgrade to soggy sweet potatoes fries.

Saw the same waitress giving checks and to go boxes to nearby customers that were asked after me. Our waitress refused to make eye contact with us. It was extremely awkward for no apparent reason. After some time, I asked another worker for 3 to go boxes instead. She appeared confused. She asked if we already paid, I said yes - I'm waiting for my change and it's been over 15 minutes. She came back after dropping the boxes for me to verify my order ticket, left and came back to give me my $27 change. Her body language appeared flustered and irritated and said some smart comment under her breath. She did not apologize for her or her coworker's behavior/attitude nor acknowledged the $27 tip I gave her for $70 worth of food. That's over 35% worth of tip that was not deserved. Instead, she went to the back, which was directly behind my table to gossip and said very inappropriate comments about me to her coworkers! I was shocked and appalled from all the rude comments she said about me. My family (even my 14 year old daughter) overheard it and was also shocked from the unprofessionalism. This occurred on May 2, 2026. The waitress and the other worker are both young females in their late teens or early twenties. As an ongoing customer for many years, this has never once happened to me. Employees here were always so kind and sweet; but not today.
