I came here to meet a friend just for a mid-day snack and it's really nice! I ordered their new power-up smoothie and my friend got an aqai bowl. It's counter service so we ordered first then found a place to sit while we waited for the food. Everything was made fresh, which was nice to know. The place was quiet and empty at 4PM but people started showing up to order around 5PM. I really enjoyed the smoothie and the staff are friendly and provide great service, bringing out the food and asking if we need anything else. The restaurant is clean and there's no tables left dirty for long periods of time if a guest was sitting there. I'd definitely come back at a later time for lunch or dinner cause I think this would be a great sunday brunch place to enjoy with friends. read more

Chopshop is a good, quick, and casual place for food. Probably more suited for a casual lunch outing if it's convenient for you. I ordered the hot honey chicken bowl, and it was good but nothing really worth going out of your way for in my opinion. The seating is clean but it's also not the biggest or most aesthetic spot. Service was very fast though, and the staff was very kind with helping me pick a bowl as it was my first time visiting. Overall not bad! read more

Why have I not discovered this place sooner. I love the ginger lemonade and any other bowls. If you looking for a quick and healthy delicious choice this is it. I went here on Valentine's Day to get a juice before starting my busy day . I had Green juice I forgot the name . It was tasty. Also tired one of the bowls and this was were I wasn't as pleased. It was ok the meat was a little too chewy rubbery for steak and the beans were runny. Overall a cute establishment and great customer service . I will go back to try something else . read more

Chop Shop was so amazing! They were such a treat for our FIRST Robotics Team (9450 Velocity Raptors) and ensured that our students, coaches and mentors were fueled up and ready to compete - even during a crazy thunderstorm! The food was delicious and plentiful, and it is so wonderful that they are so supportive of the local community, students, and STEM! This location is quite consistent whenever I order here in regards to both food and drink. The parking is shared amongst a handful of other establishments but still easy to find. With carry out only spots, it makes it easier for those who want to do a quick grab and go too. The staff are typically on it once you enter and orders are prepared fresh right away. I've been several times to dine in and to-go. They offer protein bowls that are mainly rice or veggie centric topped with your choice of protein, salad bowls with the same idea, acai bowls, fruit or veggie based juices and shakes, sandwiches, and some more. The protein bowls can be hit or miss at times depending on what toppings you choose and how well the kitchen cooks it. I usually like my protein bowls with added egg and extra sauce for additional flavor, but that makes the bowl more expensive than it already is. Filling and satisfying though! The salad bowls are very similar as the base is the only thing that changes for me, so nothing out of the ordinary. It is fresh greens but not the type of fresh you expect from a salad only place. Their acai bowls though, are definitely my number one item I get here. The base is so smooth and not icy/chunky compared to other places. It is also loaded with plenty of fruit and the bowl is filled up well. The smoothies and shakes are also decent with portion size and taste. Having said I've done both dine in and takeout many times at this Original ChopShop location, I find their protein bowls to be good even after reheating them as needed. I recommend their shrimp/steak for protein as well as their Thai coconut and green curry sauces (though not authentic Thai). The flavors mingle well and are more healthful than the typical rice bowls found anywhere else. Just feel good food! Also...they do serve breakfast items too. read more

After much consideration I had their grilled steak sandwich. The sandwich had a lot of flavor but the bread was extremely dry. This was a delivery order. I ordered the Slim Squeeze drink and the Nanner Crunch chia pudding bowl. The Slim Squeeze had a lot of listed ingredients, but I could only taste strawberry. It wasn't spectacular and it was basically just strawberry juice for $8.99. The Nanner Crunch was very good. The texture was great and it was filling. I would order again with a little more chocolate if possible. In all, this order wasn't worth the $18+ (not including fees or tip) I paid for it. Damn it, I should have read the reviews before I ordered from here. This place is absolutely terrible and unsanitary, do not order from here. I ordered the lime shrimp bowl with extra cauliflower rice and the bowl looked like it had been have eaten and there was 1 scoop of cauliflower rice. I literally lost my appetite. Edit: To clarify, I did not take a single bite out of that bowl (it looked gross). That's how it looked when i opened it. UberEats Review - I ordered from here twice in the past year before I moved away from Houston. The first time, I got the Acai bowl + The Club sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and fresh, but the acai bowl base was bland. The fruits were still fresh though, so overall not bad. The second time, I ordered the Coconut Chia Pudding, which was not very good at all. There was barely any flavor to the pudding and the large amount of granola did not help. I had the SPICY KOREAN STEAK and was not impressed with the flavorless bowl. I asked one of the customers who was there how the tea was because it looked good, and she said it was. Honestly I have been coming here for days straight! Their sandwiches are so delicious! It's probably one of these best sandwiches I have ever ate! The quality of the food items and it's so well put together! Everything is so fresh! My favorite has to be the chicken and kale! The Moroccan Turkey, chicken prosciutto and the club is great as well! Do you want to this restaurant because the whole Food kitchen was close for breakfast. We were the first people on there, but took a little bit of time for the order to come to the table. It wants to give off the vibe of healthy food but if you look at the calorie Contant for everything it's quite high. They have wooden chairs that are not very comfortable and meant for you to leave quickly. The breakfast item was tasty and filling, but could easily split into two or three servings. I know I haven't been here in a couple of months, but I didn't expect to drive 40 minutes to experience mediocre service, and protein bowls that were overpriced for what we received but extremely below standard. We don't mind paying the price for the bowl, but we would like to receive what we ordered in the bowls. My daughter and I tried this on place for the first time tonight after a trip to nearby Ulta. I ordered a protein bowl, which was very good. My daughter ordered the hummus and veggie sandwich and it was so bad that I had to buy her another (different) meal. She was unable to even pick it up and eat it. It looked like someone put some bread on a plate, dumped an entire container of hummus on it, added a few veggies and put it another bread slice on top. When I asked an employee about it, he said that most people who order that sandwich ask for the hummus on the side. No one said that to us when we ordered and it would have been helpful and maybe my daughter could have ordered something else. I wound up buying 3 dinners for 2 people. The customer service is very hit or miss. There are days when I come in and the restaurant is top notch, clean, and the friendliness from the employees is there. There are other days when the restaurant is dirty, there's food on the floor inside and out on patio tables, and the employees are walking by ignoring. The last visit I had, the manager was walking around the patio to make sure it was clean and welcoming for people. I really appreciate all of that and enjoy coming on days like these. The food here is good and a great place to come for a healthy meal! read more

Overpriced! $13 for a small sandwich. No side or anything , just a sandwich. I asked for an iced latte and the cashier told me they don't have an iced coffees. Like that wouldn't be hard to serve a hot coffee on ice and give milk on the side instead of saying they don't have it. Also their menu doesn't have prices on it and when you ask it, they don't even know. So we paid $30 for a acacia bowl and the club sandwich. Don't recommend. read more

I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! I was told they were inspired by Japan's many vinyl listening bars-- having been to many across Japan as well as many NYC imitators, this place actually impressively comes close. Our server did a good job of providing recommendations and telling us a little bit of background on the restaurant, which was very nice. They have a great cocktail menu as well as some options to get some flights for margaritas and other drinks. I tried the our little Havana, which was very tasty and refreshing. I also had the travelers's table board, which was good. The appetizers were really delicious! We tried the crab samosas, which were very tasty and also the guava empanadas were a must try! Definitely a good place to go for brunch or during your trip in Houston.

They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

We politely explained that one of them was supposed to be a to-go order. It turned out the server had entered an additional order and believed we wanted both items for the table. What bothered me wasn't the mistake itself--those happen. It was the response. There was no apology, and instead we were told the misunderstanding was due to how we had communicated the order. We decided to keep all the food and move on, but the interaction felt unnecessarily defensive. I came a little late and was looking at the menu and asked whether they still had the fried eggplant dish that had been on the menu before. The response was simply, "No." No explanation, no follow-up, just an awkward silence. It set the tone for the rest of the interaction. So I decided to let her know I'll continue to look. This response was so uncomfortable that I later decided not to order anything at all. At one point, the server mentioned she had overheard us talking about having a "crazy weekend" and seemed to use that as an explanation for the earlier confusion. Whether there was miscommunication on both sides or not, the overall experience felt unnecessarily tense. I've typically had wonderful experiences here, which is why this visit stood out so much. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are still reasons I'd come back, but please avoid assigning Naya to customers if she's not willing to be a bit more cordial.

Really good combination of flavors and textures. Everything was nice: lamb tartare was delicious, salad was strong. Chicken satisfying. Had a solid dessert too: hazelnut marjolaine. We also had the dumplings and the double cheeseburger on the English muffin, both excellent. The burger especially punches way above what you'd expect from a bistro. The vibe is perfect. Dark, relaxed, no pretension, and still feel like you're having a great night out. Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason. This is one of the best restaurants in Houston, full stop. Just make a reservation, the place fills up fast.

The front hostess, Annabella, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel valued from the start. Our waiter was equally amazing and attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had a wonderful evening. We started with the deviled eggs and crab beignets, both of which were absolutely delicious. Their French onion soup was hearty. Drinks were fabulous too. For our meal, we ordered the mashed potatoes, cacio e pepe, pork schnitzel, blackened fish, miso fish, and burger, and every dish was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The restaurant went above and beyond by surprising my mother-in-law with a birthday dessert (upon my request when I had originally booked it), which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We also enjoyed the pecan ball and chocolate soufflé, and both were outstanding. Between the incredible food, impeccable service, and special attention to our celebration, State of Grace exceeded all expectations. I like that they have a large menu. We visited on a Sunday afternoon which meant we had the option to order from the brunch menu. The dining area is a good size and they also have a nice patio which is where we sat. The staff was nice, but they were slow at times. The biggest issue was with the food. I ordered the Chicken Tenders which came with Fries and Honey Slaw. I also ordered a side of Broccoli. The Fries and Broccoli were cold while the Cole Slaw was too salty for my taste preference. The Chicken Tenders and dipping sauces (Cayenne Ranch and Honey Mustard) were tasty. One of my dining companions sent some of her food back because it was also served cold. One of the employees was going to reheat her food, and she had to ask for a new order to be brought out (which they reluctantly did). For my beverage I had the Blueberry Spritz which is a mocktail. It was very good and refreshing, but took quite a while to be brought to the table. The staff was nice enough to grab extra napkins and utensils for us when we asked which was very nice of them to do. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff and hopefully they have fixed the issue with serving cold food that is meant to be served hot. I'll wait a little while longer before returning.

The matcha grassy flavor was subtle and so I think it's more milky with a hint of matcha. So, it tasted more like an ice cream milkshake if you will. I asked if I could get the pistachio dream with oatmilk and the server recommended against it saying it would make the drink too sweet. I appreciated her honest advice and got the dragonfruit strawberry refresher instead. It was definitely refreshing with the perfect amount of ice to keep it cold but not water it down. I also tried one of the mini croissants which is probably what will keep me coming back. Flaky and full of high quality cheese and spices, I wish I had gotten two! I'll definitely come back at an earlier time since a lot of the pastries were sold out.
