Was in Mendocino/Fort Bragg for a long weekend and visited this shop twice! Tried out their pastrami, turkey club, and roast beef sandwiches. Really enjoyed the ability to customize all their sandwiches or also build your own. Took the sandwiches to a nearby beach/state park and enjoyed them overlooking the coast. Highly recommend visiting this shop if you're in the area. I'll definitely be returning!

I came here for the Rockfish Sandwich and they were out of it which was very disappointing. My husband and I ended up sharing: - Smoked Salmon Sandwich on Sliced Sour - Grilled Real Crab & Cheddar on a Soft Roll Both were delicious, but the crab was my favorite. I would happily come back to try more sandwiches!

The remaining half of the crab and cheddar on Dutch crunch. With supporting cast.

Crab and cheddar Sando was quite good. Going back tomorrow for the fish Sando. Ambience was spare at best, service was pleasant and efficient. I take no issue with their clear statements against fascism.

Heard about the sandwiches here ahead of time and had to stop by while exploring the quaint town of Mendocino. Ordering is quite straightforward. Walk around the corner of the inside of the shop where you'll see an ordering window. Place your order and they'll let you know it's ready by calling your name. Pay when you receive your food. Opted for two sandwiches - a cold, albacore tuna salad sandwich that was loaded with tuna and well balanced in flavor, as well as a pastrami coleslaw sandwich that was also packed with meat. Dutch crunch on the tuna sandwich and rye on the pastrami. Prices are pretty reasonable as the sandwich average between $12-$14. It can be busy and I waited about 10 minutes. Really enjoyed this no-frills spot for a filling lunch.

Mendocino Market is the perfect spot in town for a quick bite to eat. My husband and I stopped in for sandwiches and the quality of ingredients here is something else (still thinking about the Sour Roll)! I loved that they had cold & hot sandwiches as well as suggested sandwiches & build your own sandwiches. Everything was made in less than 10 minutes and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Highly recommend stopping in when in the area!

Quaint little place in an idyllic setting. Efficient and courteous service. Decent veg options. We had Grilled Pesto Veggie on Dutch Crunch Roll. Bread was fresh and tasty.

Got the italian sandwich and kid got the burger. Kid said burger was good. I should have listen to other people's recommendations and got the local fish sandwich instead. Italian sandwich on sour dough was dry, but edible. Can't top the atmosphere. Super cool town w/ nice views of the coast and cool peeps everywhere. Will definitely give another try again for sometime different.

Great little deli! The portions were generous, the sandwiches were delicious, and the young gentlemen working there were friendly and attentive.

Employees were super nice and accommodating of my food allergies. Sandwich was great and was a quick and easy ordering process. Pricing is good for how big the portions are. Will definitely be back if we're ever in the area again!

[[4.5 STARS OUT OF 5]] I'm writing this review specifically because I feel like this place is underrated and deserves more hype -- it was a last-minute, unplanned stop to finish off our Mendo trip that significantly exceeded expectations based on the unassuming storefront and reviews. After wandering around the area and browsing a couple of criminally overpriced eateries (ahem, Gnar Bar), we settled on Mendo Market through a process of elimination, not really expecting too much but ended up really loving our meal. It was a really nice lunch to finish off our trip and left us feeling fully satiated for the long drive back home. I would highly recommend the rockfish sandwich on rye (get both tartar sauce and pesto) and the seafood stew. We also got the grilled crab and cheese which my boyfriend felt was a bit dry but otherwise also tasty. We both thought that these were easily the best fish sandwiches that we've ever had, and they both paired wonderfully with the hearty, tomato-based seafood stew that left our bellies warm and satiated.

I was on a quest for breakfast things and amazed to fine very nicely packaged breakfast sandwiches and burritos made by the store in a refrigerator case. I grabbed several. The store is a bit rustic yet clean and well organized, and there's lots beyond just food items at one end of the store. The woman who checked me out was very pleasant and friendly. When we first checked in, we were told about this market and given directions to it. We were glad for that as we found it to be a well stocked and reasonably priced place to get food for our picnic on the cliff and snacks for the other days of our stay. The selection is great and the prices are very reasonable.
