I stopped into this neighborhood spot this evening and was pretty happy with the result. Upon glancing at the menu, I felt a little overwhelmed. Not only was there a full range of traditional American BBQ options but also Korean BBQ options as well. I suddenly didn't know what to order and so I asked for a recommendation. Spicy Korean chicken was not what I thought I was going to be eating tonight, but it was great. I ordered it to go and when I popped open the container at home, I was surprised by how much food was in there. I expected a small salad and a handful of rice, but these adjectives are far too minimizing. There was also a huge amount of chicken, to the point where I certainly couldn't finish it all. There is a very nice couple running the resturant. You can tell that it is family own because you can see their kids on their computer or arguing about something silly. The food was really good. I had the spicy pork sandwich, and the pork was very tender and just enough spiciness for me. The fries were not too crunchy and not too soggy. i also had the tri-tip sandwich with fries.The meat was tender, juicy, and the onions were nice and sweet. You may drive by and miss it, and if you do see it, you may mistake for an American BBQ place, but it's definitely Korean and it's very good. At this point, I think they've raised their prices to try to offset losing business, but they've got it all backwards. In order to keep this place from going under, they need to take the temporary hit of bringing their prices back down, increase quality, and improve service. You'll never get customers to come back if you keep raising prices and serving mediocre food with even more mediocre (bordering on terrible) service. Or maybe it's just time for them to go away altogether to make room for another restaurant who can better serve this area.
