Last time I was here was years ago. They changed ownership earlier this year. It's a very casual bbq place with some tables and benches. It's all ordered at the counter. I tried the bbq plate with hot links and pulled pork with a salad and garlic bread. You can get combo plates with different sides. They also have a lot of Korean bbq options from the original owners who were Korean. Overall a simple place with good bbq. I like their sauce which is sweet and a little tangy. Salad was fresh ingredients good. It's not necessarily a good place for a quick meal because it can take some time for your order and they get busy at lunchtime. I saw a lot of takeout orders.

This is a charming little spot tucked away in a residential area. It doesn't have a lot of room inside, but there's a few tables and there is outdoor seating. But you're not coming here for that. The sign outside said BBQ and that got my attention. There's only a few BBQ items, but that's ok. I got the #2 Korean BBQ beef sandwich. It's $18 before I added fries, normally comes with a salad. While it was tasty, I found the amount of meat to be a bit small for what I paid. For that price you can get a lot mor at other places. The fries looked homemade and were the star of the meal. I'd probably give this place another try, but the prices do make we wary of the value. I get that times are tough, especially for a small family run place, but with that kind of price and not even including a drink seems kinda crazy.

I'm new to Menlo Park and thought I'd stop by and try their Korean barbecue and I'm glad I did! The chicken teriyaki and beef bulgogi was tender and tasty! I also enjoy how fresh the greens were and how lightly they tossed the dressing on salads and rice was made to perfection! There was a young man there that gave me a complementary kimchi - I did appreciate that ! I finished the entire entree and will for sure be back ! Thank you!

Came here at 12:30PM. Parking is tight at that time. Seats were only few. All are outdoor and that time it was pretty hot. We managed to get a spot with a shade. Ordered bibimbap with beef(was not able to take a photo i was gery hungry lol) I must say their bibimbap is very tasty. Very good! Even the meat. Veggies are seasoned nicely. Meat is very tasty! I decided to take home short ribs. Its a little pricey. But I must say worth it. I only saw two people operating. They're friendly. Self service when done juat put in the bin where they collect dirty dishes.

I decided to eat at Menlo bbq. No, it's not exactly easy to know why this place is so good. I had the bulgogi, purple rice and some fries. Around 18 bucks. Quite a few customers on a cold gloomy day. Well, cool for California. I talked to the staff, very friendly. I told the chef that I hadn't been there since I first got to Palo Alto 30 years ago. Well +- years, wouldn't want to make a mistake. The cook definitely found it humorous. Back to the Bulgogi. Nicely seasoned; nice charred flavor; great fries. 18 bucks, high but these are inflationary times. I loved the ambience; will cut the years for the next time by at least 50 percent . I left happy and with the memory of great marinated beef.

We ordered the Peruvian steak sandwich and the Seasonal GOAT with Sweet Citrus - the taste was lovely and well-balanced with some spicy taste. The goat cheese was light and airy, so definitely doable even if you're not a huge fan of goat cheese. The inside space was super spacious, and you can choose to sit both inside or out. We sat inside, and I was glad due to the hot hot weather, the AC inside was great. The lady at the register was also super nice, and gave my toddler a set of crayons and paper to draw on! I will be coming back again soon!

The ambiance here is really nice as well, especially the outdoor patio. We went with a group of 7 smart was awesome! The service was also fast and prompt which was quite enjoyable. They were well spiced and the potatoes were perfectly soft. * Biscoff lotus pancakes - these were absolutely divine. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and came in a stack of 4. They were huge with fresh whipped cream and a biscoff sauce. There was also maple syrup. The combo was out of the world and would definitely recommend one to get this when visiting! The food was very good to say the least, this amount of food was perfect for us. Though not too much of an issue (if this is the case) but the pancakes to me taste very very very similar to pancakes made with the Krusteaz brand pancake mix, I only say this because I had pancakes that used that specific brand's mix not too long before eating here. Regardless, the food was very delicious. For me and my girlfriend, the drinks were OKAY at best. To me, the coffee didn't have much "churro" taste in there besides the little churro treat that was added in the drink as a topping. The 5 minutes of Heaven shake threw us off a little because we weren't expecting the drink to be almost room temperature, we would have liked it to be cold like how our coffee was! Overall not too bad of a visit, definitely would come back if I'm ever in the Palo Alto area again.

They recommended the No. 18, and it turned out to be a solid choice. The service throughout my visit was outstanding and made a great first impression. I ordered the No. 18 on sourdough with everything, along with a bag of ranch chips and a vanilla root beer. The sourdough was fresh with a nice chew and held up well to all the toppings without getting soggy. Everything tasted fresh, and Ike's signature sauces added plenty of flavor. My only real complaint was the meat-to-bread ratio. While the sandwich was piled high with vegetables and toppings, it didn't contain nearly enough meat. I found myself running out of meat well before I finished the bread and the rest of the ingredients, which left the second half feeling a bit unbalanced. A little more protein would have made a big difference. The sides weren't quite as successful. The ranch chips just weren't my favorite, and the vanilla root beer was much sweeter than I expected. That was a random choice on my part, and I'd probably order something different next time. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit. The outstanding, friendly service and the quality of the sandwich made me want to come back. Next time I'll probably ask for extra meat, skip the ranch chips, and choose a different drink. If the sandwich had a better meat-to-bread ratio, it would easily earn five stars.
