Headed over here after a yummy breakfast at Eggslut. The coffee was good and smooth. Also nice that the baristas are friendly and helpful to tourists. They were happy to point us in the direction of a few Venice highlights to amp up our morning walk. The actual coffee shop would be delightful to sit and chat in as well. read more

I always order an almond milk iced latte. It is sinfully delicious and like nothing I've ever tried before. The staff are amazing and so in touch with the community and their customers. They always have a new bouquet of fresh flowers at the front which I really love. It's four Barrels coffee they serve and the serve it pretty awesome. I think this is probably my favorite coffee shop in LA. Everyone here is cool, the shop feels good, and the few outdoor seats looking out on Windward are great for pure Venice Beach vibes. It's not a place you'd come to sit for hours on a laptop. And that's a good thing, IMO. Just a small neighborhood spot that takes great care in making their coffee. Firstly: BEST COFFEE ANYWHERE, BAR NONE!!!!! Better than Intelligentsia, at least to my taste and stomach, in the sense that it is far less acidic, and while it is as strong, it is less gittery... Second: I don't know what JackAsses wrote the 1 star reviews, but I go the best service in the world. I too am a soy milk drinker, and what I got was "I'm sorry no soy, but we have almond milk" then was shown the milk brand, and allowed to taste it. I usually hate the taste of almond milk, but this one is as tasty as soy, crazy creamy and foams up beautifully. And knowing the guy like I do (have been a customer for a long time), I can only imagine that if he gave any advice on how to hold the cup, it is to protect the customer, maybe her lid was not on right, who knows.... He uses sustainable (much more expensive) to go cups. THIRDLY: BEST DAMN COFFEE ANYWHERE, BAR NONE!!! Only close second is in a small town in NJ that roasts their own coffee, and that one is pretty amazing too. Have been away for a while... Miss my Menotti's!!!! read more

Everyone is right... the almond milk latte is fantastic!! Unlike other almond milk lattes I have had, my latte was not bitter and the espresso blended beautifully with the nutty milk. Treat yo self and make a trip out to Venice for this fun coffee shop! read more

The girl behind the counter goes into a hilarious rant about latin food cultural references to cinnamon and condensed milk, followed by descriptions of DELICIOUS, and before I know it, I'm laughing so hard I can't even read the rest of the menu. Best coffee shop in Venice/marina area. I would choose them over ANY mainstream /corporate coffee shop you can name. Literally the only complaint I can file against them is that they don't offer many breakfast or food items :( just a small pastry case. Cool little shop by Venice. It was a very hipster store and had pretty good mocha. The mocha tasted very creamy with the whole milk and the coffee art was the cherry on top. However, there is are some crazies around the area. We almost shied away from the store, because there was a man yelling and screaming just a couple stores down. read more

Menotti's was recommended by a few of my friends, so of course I checked it out. I'm so glad I took their advice. The aesthetic of Menotti's is masculine enough for a group of men to meet, but feminine enough to pull up a bar stool and enjoy my latte. The owner held great conversation and then asked me if I ever tried something different from what I had ordered. He then proceeded to make it for me, and it might have been the most delicious drink I have ever tried. I want to say is was a cortado?! I might be wrong. I tried it again. The cappuccino with almond milk. Again, the service was lovely. But the coffee had that same sour taste as last time... initially. Strange as it may sound, that sour flavor mellowed out as I continued to drink it, and it became perfectly acceptable to drink. I was recommended this place by some girl I met on bumble that smelled like cotija cheese. I don't even know why I decided to come because she matched with me so her taste is obvs pretty trash. Anyway, as I walked up to the front door a middle aged man was struggling to open the door and hold his cappuccino at the same time. I was just kind of observing him struggle to handle what to me is an easy task(I've been opening doors with drinks in my hands for a while I grew up in la so you know.). He asked for help with this step dad attitude that was really off putting. So still drenched in step dad vibes I enter this cute little place. Small menu but I don't mind I'm from la and I only eat in n out so I'm used to it. I ordered the Spanish latte, like I said I'm from la and also I'm a poc so I tend to gravitate to the Spicy. The barista complimented my black flag shirt which was nice of her but being from la I kind of don't fully know how to thank someone for a compliment so I just said "I know it's cool that's why I got it".
