This business and their staff leverages a purchase to justify failing to meet deadlines. Lied to twice on alterations being completed at a certain date when the deadline had been explicitly stated prior to the purchase. Do these employees only receive commission through sales? I can't seem to understand how in two separate instances can a staff member openly lie to you on completing a task. To whomever else finds this location and assumes it would be a simple transaction, I strongly encourage you to read the prior reviews and save yourself the headache. The store manager Alfonso stated that I could "always return shoes if they didn't work out". Well they didn't. When I attempted to return the shoes, Alfonso pulled out the sole and said it wouldn't have pulled out if I didn't wear them? Made no sense. They are slip in soles. The other one was "glued in" and "didn't come out" but oh this one came out so apparently unable to return? There was no residue of glue on the insert that came out. I'm just so confused. $135 dollars for some cheap shoes, and Alfonso made a statement that I can "always return the shoes if they didn't work out". Not a good experience. read more

If I could give no stars, I absolutely would. Never have I experienced such poor service. I visited this store recently and not once was my partner or I greeted or acknowledged. It was also hard to distinguish who was staff versus customers. Staff members were busy having conversations with each other as I walked by and around the store a few times. Another staff member spent time taking photos of mannequins and could've cared less about helping anyone. A male employee wore joggers and tennis shoes and considering it's a suit wear store, I guess I expected an employee to more or less represent the store better or at least be dressed professionally. I purchased a pair of shoes that I found on a shoe tower, but while waiting to check out, two employees continued discussing something without even acknowledging customers standing in front of them. Another staff member walked over and asked if I wanted to check out. It was astonishing to see so many employees "preoccupied" in a pretty non-busy store. Obviously, quality customer service has been changing everywhere with the ease of online shopping and different generations entering the work force, but it was especially disappointing to see that not even older employees had value in offering any elements of customer service. 0/10 recommend. read more

We had a great experience getting the tux and suits for our wedding! As the bride it is very easy and nice to control what everyone is wearing down to the socks and shoes. Pick up and returns were very easy to do! We had a point where we switched some of the suits and it was very easy to do without any problem. Best part is our groomsmen were in different parts of the country and everyone was able to have their suits fitted and ready to go by our wedding date! read more

The selection of shoes is not terrible, but if no one is going to assist you, OF THE TEN PEOPLE WORKING ON WHAT I CAN ONLY ASSUME IS INVENTORY, what good is it? The only reason I gave a second star is because a kid dressed in a tie dye T-shirt at least had the decency to say hello to me when I opened the door. Don't waste your time with this location. I would like to share our negative experience at this Men's Wearhouse location in Brea, CA on Saturday, 6.15.24. I accompanied my 84- yr old father to his father of the bride tux fitting and had the worst customer experience from the sales associate who helped us. From the start, there was not a smile to us, she did not introduce herself until we asked, her attitude was very off-standish, and was not at all very helpful in trying to fit my father into the tux we selected. She didn't even provide suggestions on what could look and fit better on him and I had to advocate for my father about needing to try on his entire look to see what would fit him best. My father walks with a cane and has slower mobility but that does not mean he is incapable or unwilling to try on what was needed for his tux look. She did not even give any other options when they did not have any availability on the short version of his tux jacket, which would have helped with getting a better picture of his look. We felt like she was just there to do a job and no more than that. Even my father commented on her attitude and that was noticeable to our family. We felt that she just wanted us to finish the transaction, did not review the order with us, and we just had to keep asking questions or confirm what was ordered. It was a vast difference from our experience at the Costa Mesa/South Coast location where the salesmen were extremely helpful and informative and gave every suggestion to my fiancee and groomsman to find the best fit possible to complete their tuxedo look. We were excited and looking forward to this custom tux fitting for my father and did not leave confident from the fitting. We would actually like to go in for another fitting but we were fed up from the whole experience and just wanted to pay to complete the rental order. We understand that the location does get busy with customers but at the time we went in the afternoon, it was not busy at all, and would appreciate a more positive experience. It may not be their once in a lifetime wedding experience but it was to us. read more

This is the worst location I've ever been to. The customer service is here is laughable due to how bad it is. The staff members were extremely rude to us for no apparent reason. We did not have an appointment to choose rentals for our bridal party; however, we didn't mind waiting. We stood there waiting our turn for about 10 mins - during that duration of time, 2 female staff members approached us who both said the same thing while having the look of utter disgust on their faces "do you have an appointment" us: no "well you have to wait" us: we know, no problem While we stood there, we received dirty looks from the staff members. Again, for no apparent reason. They clearly hated their jobs and everyone who walked thru the door because they treated the next customers after us similarly. They too seemed taken aback. The staff member who was the worst between the 2 was the one who had her hair covered. Nevermind the rude staff members... this location is very messy and unorganized. Most customers come to Men's Warehouse to rent tuxes for events. This location doesn't even have the rental displays other locations do. It's as if they want customers to have the worst time here, because they certainly aren't kind nor are they very helpful. We decided to leave and go to the Pasadena location instead. We had a good experience in the past at the Pasadena location, especially because the staff members there were actually nice... the Pasadena location also has displays of their rentals, as well as swatches of fabric out for customers to browse and different kinds of shoes. Skip the Brea location. Everyone deserves better than this dirty, rude place for their special event. Even the folks at Friar Tux Brea were nicer! Madness. read more

My son needed to get a suit the next day. We went to the Men's Wearhouse where we were greeted by Gabbie. She took the time to find out what he was looking for and then showed him several choices. I walked in with my fiance today and left completely disappointed. The customer service at this location is non-existent. There were only a few customers in the store and we walked around on our own for a good 20 minutes without anyone asking us if we needed help. I saw two other customers finally flag down an employee at the same time, asking when an employee would help them. Another few minutes went by and a younger, blonde gentlemen asked if we had an appointment - we said no, but had a few questions, including the difference between 2 suit styles my fiance tried on, as well as if they rented suits (not just tuxes) for our upcoming wedding. The employee kept telling us it was only his 3rd day and he didn't know anything, he only knows the type of suits he wears himself. He then put my fiance in a VERY baggy suit jacket, exclaiming how good it looked on him and how it was a perfect fit (which it was clearly not). He then informed us that Mens Wearhouse only rents tuxedos and not any suits (which I found out later was completely incorrect). I'm sympathetic to the fact that he was new - but I would expect any new employee to have basic knowledge of store policy, the difference between executive and regular fit suit jackets, and general information on how rentals work (which I know is a big part of their business). At the very least I would have appreciated him directing us to another more experienced employee. He ended up walking off to help someone else (leaving me with a suit jacket and taking the hanger) and never returned. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be purchasing or renting our suits from Mens Wearhouse. read more

Not a fitting, window shopping, etc., plus it was already paid for. Location hours advertise that they close at 6pm which was part of how our day was planned. Turns out their hours "haven't been updated yet" and they close at 5pm. Apparently the computers shut off at that time too so "there's nothing that can be done." Bummer. read more

I had been trying to find a specific shirt in particular color, they didn't have it at the 3 closest locations to me but finally "found it" at this one. Called ahead to make sure, explained it in great detail the color and the style (dress shirt) with no pockets , and the brand , plus size they had it......so I had the lady put it on hold for me. Inquired whether I had to pick it up that night or next day and the person said next day was fine. Drove the 30 mins to this location next morning .... 1 no shirt was on hold for me when I arrived 2 the shirts they had in stock were the same brand but different style (casual shirt) with pockets. Disappointed that whoever I spoke to was lazy with the details and furthermore there was no follow through with setting my item aside even though it would have been the incorrect item anyway. read more

She was so helpful and knowledgeable about every kind of tux and suit. Her customer service skills are exceptional! Definitely would not recommend or return, I had to go out of my way to find an employee for assistance. I noticed a few women in the employee room laughing and such. When I found an employee, I felt judged and was given the feeling that they did not care or want to help. The overall vibe of not being wanted and the way I was treated made me feel disgusted and I was not welcomed. P.S. If you look younger, you WILL be discriminated against by this place. I came in looking for a last minute jacket for a same day wedding. As soon as I walked in, DONALD approached me and asked how he could help. From there on, long story short, he gave me every option available including what they had in the store and even gave me some suggestions on a jacket I had brought with me. For our wedding, we rented 7 suits from this location (one for the groom and 6 for all the groomsmen). Because most of our groomsmen were coming from all over the country, we decided it would be easiest if we paid for everything in advance so the boys wouldn't have to worry. We were told they could have their measurements taken at their local Men's Warehouse, and we could pick it up a few days before the wedding in Brea. Despite prepaying for all the tuxedos, a few of the groomsmen were still told they had to pay when they came into their local store to have their measurements taken. The boys didn't want to cause any drama, so they paid. When we found out and contacted the Brea location, they said there was nothing they could do, and we had to make several other calls to get the situation resolved. It took over a week to rectify the problem. We prepaid to make things easier for our groomsmen, and instead it made everything more complicated because Men's Warehouse incorrectly charged them again! Considering that this company is nationwide, you'd think they would have better communication between stores. I deducted two stars off for this whole ordeal because it kind of soured the experience with the company. When my husband showed up for his first fitting at the Brea location, I accompanied him to the store to help him out. The lackluster service was quite surprising. They did their jobs -- took his measurements and had him try on a few sizes. They weren't rude or mean, just completely apathetic. Nobody cared that we were there, and nobody really cared about how the clothes were fitting. It was a completely different experience for me at David's Bridal (Brea location). I didn't expect them to ring bells or jump for joy, but a smile from anybody in the store probably would've helped. On the day of the event, my husband and all the groomsmen looked posh and handsome, so the tailors definitely did a job - and I do want to make sure they get credit for that. I truly hate to post a negative review but it can't be helped. I went shopping for two suits today and the associate could barely help us! It seemed we were bothering her and interrupting her from doing nothing and her standing around. She could have sold us much more than what we purchased but she had no desire to help. We did buy over $1200.00 of merchandise but would have bought more. When it came to alterations she only offered that it would be over two weeks and quite extensive so we will take our items elsewhere. The other employees seemed very friendly and helpful but unfortunately that was not our experience. :( read more

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I did not feel welcomed in this store at all. I wish I could have gotten the woman's name who stands around asking people for assistance by the door. This particular woman was not behind the counter to assist customers. Since the moment I walked in, I was interrogated for what I was looking for. I understand businesses need to make a sell and it's importance answered but a customer who is interested In buying from a store should not be followed around, and asked multiple times what they were looking for. She asked "can you show me a picture of what you're looking for" in a very rude manner after I told her specifically twice what I was interested in buying. Once I reminded her that I was okay the third time and that I wanted to go check out an item, I respectfully left and decided to take my money and time elsewhere because a store like this that lacks professionalism and decent customer service is not worth the money. read more

The sales representative was very nice at first but I saw her lose interest in helping us quickly. The rentals are high priced and ugly so we decided purchasing would be better. After my fiancé only tried on TWO designer suits for 700.00, I asked if he could just look at cheaper ones because we wanted to be considerate to his groomsmen. She said there was not cheaper... I'm no expert but I looked online and there's definitely more options. We left and will try another location. read more
