The grocery is good for what to expect for any Asian market but the main attraction is the food court. It may not seem like much but all of them are really good and would fill up your hunger instantly. My favorites from the top of my head are the Katsu Don if I remember correctly and the Udon section where you pick your tempura (don't know the exact name). Overall good place to eat lunch or even dinner. Another problem would be finding a seat since there's hardly any tables and your plate is pretty big and bowls are heavy so you have to be somewhat quick to find a seat. The ambiance is fine but that's kind of to be expect in any supermarket, which is usually crowds talking and all. I really don't have much to say. Ever since this place closed down the anime shop, the DVD store, and bookstore, this place pretty much lost what made Mitsuwa special and worth visiting. Especially for someone who's into both anime and tokusatsu like Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers). Those places are what got me my first Gundam model kit (Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed) and my go to place for Japanese DVDs as mentioned (Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and Nanoha). I understand why they close down these stores, especially with streaming services and online shopping are a thing, even though I don't fully agree as they are customers like me that would prefer in-store physical copies. That is why I deduct one star. These are replaces with a gachapon store, a Matcha store, a Boba store I believe and Daiso. The matcha and boba place (forgot the names sorry) are surprisingly good. I really like the matcha ice cream in a bowl and I believe the Doncha. The gachapon I cannot say as I never spend money there and I'm not into these gacha machines and I rarely buy anything in Daiso as its just your typical convenience store that sells some Japanese stuff so I won't say much. In conclusion, it's a very nice spot to eat Japanese meals and especially something to fill you up for the day while also shopping to buy Japanese food to cook at home. Just be aware this is pretty pricey, especially the Royce matcha chocolates and the food court.

I wanted to try it all but next time we'll get more. I did end up getting some Borjomi Sparkling Water and some Lays Crab Chips. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the different products. I also loved browsing the shop's unique selection of specialty foods--many of which I'd never seen before, and some whose names I couldn't even pronounce! I ended up taking home some caviar and blinis, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try their pastries. This charming little shop is a hidden gem, and I can't wait to find time this summer for another visit.

They have an incredible selection of different freshly prepared foods, with two giant buffet tables where you can load up on as much of the different options as you care to get. There's also an incredible variety of packaged foods, other items, and different things that are directly imported from Japan. It seems much bigger than Mitsuwa Marketplace, which is in the same shopping center. The selection is also a lot more varied. For example they have a ton of shabu shabu options that I haven't been able to find elsewhere. They also have a highly organized checkout system, as well as self-checkout, so you can get prompt service if you need it. Overall, this is a great place for anyone who takes Japanese groceries seriously. Worth the trip for lunch or for shopping!

Seems to me, it is less crowded than other markets. (If I can avoid crowds, I will). It was Tet New Year season and I needed to get a few ingredients for some dishes I planned to cook. My first priority was the fresh oxtail in the meat department. I have gone to many markets for this cut and it seems this is the best place for a ~2 pound tray of mixed size tails. The fat is all trimmed off, as opposed to other markets that leave a fat layer behind that you are paying for. It also depends on if you prefer leaner tails. Next, the produce section. I picked up some cailan (Chinese broccoli). For the most part, the Asian veggies are pretty fresh - since there is a higher turnover rate of Asian veggies in this area. It was good on this day. So many varieties of green veggies, I love it! The fruit section is also pretty impressive. Papayas, guanabana, dragon fruit, pommelo, tangerines, korean pear, manzano bananas,...Not your ordinary apples and oranges. Dry goods include a plethora of rice, including Thai sweet rice, Japanese rice (perfect for sushi rice), red rice (known for high fiber and low glycemic index)... Who likes Chinese Style sausage? Me! It is called Lap Xuong, in Vietnamese. I love making Thai sweet rice and serve with thinly sliced Lap Xuong - my mom fed us kids this often! And yes, they have a good supply of this here, so stock up, it will last forever in the pantry. Vietnam is the world's second largest coffee producer. You will see the crazy amount of coffee products sold here, for example, Vinacafe. Most are packed as individual serving packets which includes cream and sugar. Too convenient for consumption! Also perfect to have in your pantry. You shall be impressed with the chili aisle. Sambal of all kinds. You can make an awesome pot of chili with this heat! Lots of Lunar New Year items too. I am sure there are still some left for purchase if you didn't have a chance to pick some up yet. They do have a liquor department too. Asians can drink iykyk. If you do, please don't drink and drive. Parking is ok, if you go shopping off peak hours. Market is on Beach Boulevard and it could get pretty busy so plan wisely. So enjoy your visit. We continued on our shopping trip for the afternoon but before we left, we made sure to go back and buy some of the Spicy sauce. I told my husband that the sauce would be good on fish tacos... we went home, made the tacos with the sauce and those tacos weren't just good, they came out amazing. They surprisingly even have a caviar section in the refrigerated service counter next to the Mexican cheeses. My relatives also told me that Super King is owned by an Armenian family so that's why you can also find some middle eastern and central asian spices, sweets/snacks - like dubai chocolate, and teas among their items for sale. I really liked this grocery store, it was very clean, bright, well-organized, spacious, and had very reasonable prices. Plenty of parking is outside as they share a parking lot with other stores and dining venues in a sizable outdoor shopping plaza.
