Great service and atmosphere! Deli Nerds has a great selection of breakfast items, skewers, salads, and sliders. I was especially excited about the sliders because I hoped to try a few different flavors in smaller portions. However, I was disappointed to learn that sliders must be ordered as two of the same item, with no mix-and-match option. After ordering, each slider appeared to be prepared individually, so I was surprised there wasn't a way to customize an order with multiple varieties. Being able to choose two or three different sliders would make the experience even more fun and would encourage guests to explore more of the menu!

I've seen a few ads for Deli Needs on Instagram and promoted on Yelp. I was surprised by how many options there were here whether you wanted a sandwich, wrap, kabob, or sliders. They have some good lunch deals so you can mix and match different sliders. I got the smashburger sliders with a side of vegan potato salad. Unfortunately, I didn't love either. It was a good amount of food, but flavor was very mediocre. We also tried the French Dip sliders that were also just ok. They appear to have good happy hour pricing and a weekly trivia night.

Hellooooo this place is AMAZING!!! They have the right vibe for every occasion. Breakfast burrito and coffee on the go? They have it. Sit down lunch while getting work done? Easy. Trivia night & drinks with your friends? DING DING DING! As a vegan it's hard to find places with lots of good options, but Deli Nerds has soooo many options AND tofu!! It's rare to find places with good vegan protein sources but here we are! They have so many fun cocktails, wine & beer, and pickle beer (my absolute fave). Things can easily be modified and I love how huge their menu selection is! Plus they had live music on the patio when I went on Friday night and it was poppin!!! Such a fun spot no matter what time of day or what day of the week (: I highly recommend checking them out ASAP

This is an awesome awesome place to eat together with friends or family. The staff is wonderful. The owner is out of this world. She is so awesome. Their food is delicious. Very very reasonable fresh they serve breakfast all day. I had their breakfast burrito one night, their sliders are Yummer's Can't go wrong Trivia night on Thursday night

I decided to try this place out today and drove there from my house in Newport Beach. The food was good, but I was very disheartened at the portion size based on the cost. I ended up getting an egg cheese and hash brown burrito that cost me $10. If I wanted to add a protein, it was another five dollars, which is absolutely insane. The other challenge was in the picture you'll see that it's not very big and the ingredients are on one side and the other almost half of the burrito is folded tortilla. The staff was very nice and accommodating, but the value just simply isn't there. There are a lot of places that have a really good burrito that have much more in the way of ingredients inside it and cost the same. If he looks at the picture of the breakfast burrito on this Yelp and compare to my burrito, you'll see that the one in the Yelp pictures got twice as many ingredients not mostly tortilla as you could see on the left of my picture. Pretty disappointing.

Pork bowl was extremely flavorful! However, it can be quite expensive for this bowl but reasonable price if you get the chicken option.

3 1/2 stars We came here on a Friday night and there was a DJ playing outside and a few people. We specifically came here because we saw they had tofu and veggie skewers with falafel. However, they were out of the tofu so we had to pivot with what we were ordering. We ended up getting two wraps and made them vegan with falafel. The one with the rice was pretty good but we both thought the Greek was just okay - only one side of the wrap had dressing and it was very dry. In order to have hummus the pita has milk in it so it's not vegan so we ended up getting offered sourdough bread. It was fine but I do kind of wish they had tortilla chips or something as an alternative or even some cut veggies. How it works as you place your order at the counter and then you go grab a table we ordered a bottle of wine. Significant amount of time went past. We got our food and I had to ask where our wine was then I saw the fact that they didn't have our wine and we're going to try and chill the bottle that was out on display. I told them I didn't really want that and would rather that they just cancel. They did refund us for the bottle and brought us a free glass of champagne. I'm glad they made it right and definitely would give coming here another chance. The atmosphere and food was good and I feel like could be a cool place in the future to hang out and grab a drink and get dinner. However, if I went again and they still didn't have tofu, I would be pretty disappointed as I really was going there to have a high protein vegan meal. So much potential but not quite 4 stars yet but willing to go up for that potential and the fact there are good vegan options.

OVERALL : I was looking into OC restaurant week spots when I discovered that Deli Nerds offers a $5 breakfast burrito option! It looks like they always have this deal as part of their normal weekly specials, but the deal hours were extended for restaurant week. Food didn't take long to come out. Good spot to pick up a casual breakfast. Although I ordered for takeout, it was nice to see that they had seating in case I revisit next time :) PARKING : Parking lot, easy to find FOOD/DRINKS : Breakfast Burrito - flour tortilla, hash browns, cheddar, egg, choice of protein, and hot sauce The burrito was a good size for $5 -- def not the biggest burrito I've had nor the most decadent, but solid for the price and quality of food! I liked that you could choose the protein as well. I enjoyed the bacon more than the sausage. It had more of a salty pop compared to the sausage which was a lot more muted. Hot sauce def brings lots more flavor to the meal -- don't skip it!

Deli Nerds was such a great find! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Every bite was delicious, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere! We will definitely be back soon!

It's evident that whomever owns this place cares very much for it. Lot of nice, fun, personal touches, makes you feel welcome right when you arrive. Staff is highly personal and happy to be there. Food is excellent, best sliders I've ever had. Like gourmet sliders and many choices.

this place is just average imo they do however have great deals. $5 burritos are nice but these aren't amazing you definitely get way you pay for. 3/5 chorizo burrito 3.5/5 iced vanilla latte the store is cute and they seem to be having all kinds of community stuff happening so that's cool!

say YES to the NERDS!!! Yes to Deli Nerds in Costa Mesa, CA! This deli menu is filled with soo many favorites and new discoveries that you wanna taste for your next visit! The manager Hannah was like you gotta try the Banh Mi Pork Slider and lowkey, doubtful but with the first bite, WOW! The smash slides were awesome along with their signature French Dip slider. Their salads were huge and fresh along with their bowls and wraps but what's really impressive is their protein selection! It's packed with premium quality meats like grilled salmon, marinated chicken breast, sirloin steak, shrimp and so much more! It's healthy eating that doesn't taste like cardboard.

    Good to know!

Stopped here after a Saturday round of golf- they have great bottled and canned beer / N/A options. We learned all sandwiches come in slider form, so I recommend ordering 3 if you're hungry. Good sauce on the smash burger sliders, fun wall decor, large patio. I'm taking note of the $5 breakfast burrito promo! Staff was kind and helpful explaining the menu.

The pairing of the rich mole sauce and sweet potato puree takes the dish to an entirely different level, complementing each other effortlessly. Baklava Cheesecake: A creative and delicious twist on a classic. The cream cheese filling is light rather than dense, and instead of a traditional graham cracker crust, it features a fantastic baklava crust. It is nicely balanced and not overly sweet, though you will definitely want to pair it with a cup of coffee to finish it off. Service: The staff is exceptionally friendly, highly attentive, and organized, making you feel well cared for throughout the meal. Portions: Portions are slightly on the smaller side. My husband and I ordered three appetizers and two main entrees to share, and we were still quite hungry by the end--so you may want to order an extra dish or side if you have a hearty appetite! Overall, a wonderful dining experience with incredible flavors and charming ambiance. Highly recommended!

Seems like a good place for regulars as I heard people laughing in the back and as some left they told us how amazing everything was. Unfortunately, I just don't think the food was as amazing as they thought. Both the cabbage and carrots just didn't have crisp or caramelization for something roasted I think both could have done better with a longer amount of time for better crispiness. The cabbage in general I actually can't recommend, a hassle to cut, very mushy, and overall not the best tasting? The carrots definitely also had a taste to them that I believe some people could like, but were also not for me (a pickle lover). Both dishes were also extremely acidic, think the cabbage could have done better with a cream based sauce on top. The carrots being acidic makes sense since they're pickled though. The steak sandwich was very good, however, nice price and good taste. Wish there were some leafy greens with it (why I ordered the cabbage). This place seems like a hoot and a holler for some people. But I shall never return, give it a try though maybe you'll be another regular or not, who knows?

The service is one of the many reasons we keep coming back. The servers recognize us and greet us like old friends, making every visit feel warm and personal. What makes this place even more special is that it's a family-owned business. The owners are often present, personally welcoming guests and ensuring everyone has a great dining experience. Their hospitality creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers returning time and time again. My go-to meal is the Boneless Chicken Kabab served with basmati rice and a fresh Mediterranean salad. The chicken is incredibly flavorful, well marinated, and cooked to perfection every single time. I honestly don't know their secret, but the chicken is always juicy and tender, never dry like many other kabab places we've tried. Consistency is hard to find and they absolutely nail it. Another favorite of ours is the Koobideh Combo, which includes both Beef and Chicken Koobideh Kababs served with Mediterranean salad and your choice of basmati rice or rice mixed with lentils and raisins. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and every bite is satisfying. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It's no surprise that so many customers become regulars. The restaurant is usually packed during lunchtime, which speaks volumes about its popularity. We typically arrive around 11:30 AM to beat the lunch rush and enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. I've had the Drive Thru burger, chicken and waffles, BTL, etc. and they were each some of the best food I've had in OC. Can't get over their French fries with the homemade ranch and the garlic aioli. Honestly committed to trying everything on the menu at some point this year. Service is also top-notch. Gabriel is the best waiter (you know they're good when you don't even want to call them waiter) I've ever had at any restaurant - he is so sweet, funny, and makes everyone feel genuinely cared for. I love that the restaurant is usually quiet and less busy because that means I don't have to wait to be seated, but I am genuinely SHOCKED. This is the type of place you expect to have a 3hr waiting list. Perhaps it's a matter of location. Perhaps they revamped their menu since some of the negative feedback. If you've tried this place and it wasn't your favorite, please give it another chance for brunch, it's fantastic! Can say enough great things about Social. BLESS YELP FOR HELPING ME FIND THIS GEM!

Went looking for a good spot to watch a World Cup game and originally tried the Harp. Big mistake…read more It was absolutely packed and standing room only, so we headed over to Wild Goose Tavern instead. Great decision. We got there a little before the game and had plenty of choices for seats. It definitely filled up as kickoff got closer, but with TVs everywhere, this place is pretty much built for watching sports. The food was surprisingly good, plenty of choices, good beer selection, and the service was excellent. Our waitresses were friendly and attentive even as the place got busier. The whole crowd had a fun energy, which made watching the World Cup even better. I've heard Wild Goose really cranks up at night with a younger crowd, but I haven't experienced that side of it yet. For a big sporting event, though, I'd absolutely come back. Great atmosphere, good food, cold beer, lots of TVs, and friendly service. Hard to ask for much more.

I will say the espresso martini was not 5 star, but other drinks were good. We tried the blood orange marg, the spicy strawberry marg, and the cowboy marg. My mom liked the blood orange but the second round did not taste the same as the first. A bit of a consistency issue but she nursed it and finished it. My favorite drink was the cowboy marg. It was on the sweeter side but refreshing. For food. We had an assortment. Standouts were the steak dinner and onion rings! I would come back to try other things. The short rib grilled cheese was mid, but would be great to soak up alcohol. Cassidy was an excellent server, even as it got really busy for a UFC fight. Ambiance is definitely fun and unique. Generally, the experience was good. I would give it another shot to try other food and drinks.
