OVERALL : I was looking into OC restaurant week spots when I discovered that Deli Nerds offers a $5 breakfast burrito option! It looks like they always have this deal as part of their normal weekly specials, but the deal hours were extended for restaurant week. Food didn't take long to come out. Good spot to pick up a casual breakfast. Although I ordered for takeout, it was nice to see that they had seating in case I revisit next time :) PARKING : Parking lot, easy to find FOOD/DRINKS : Breakfast Burrito - flour tortilla, hash browns, cheddar, egg, choice of protein, and hot sauce The burrito was a good size for $5 -- def not the biggest burrito I've had nor the most decadent, but solid for the price and quality of food! I liked that you could choose the protein as well. I enjoyed the bacon more than the sausage. It had more of a salty pop compared to the sausage which was a lot more muted. Hot sauce def brings lots more flavor to the meal -- don't skip it!

this place is just average imo they do however have great deals. $5 burritos are nice but these aren't amazing you definitely get way you pay for. 3/5 chorizo burrito 3.5/5 iced vanilla latte the store is cute and they seem to be having all kinds of community stuff happening so that's cool!

    Good to know!

Stopped here after a Saturday round of golf- they have great bottled and canned beer / N/A options. We learned all sandwiches come in slider form, so I recommend ordering 3 if you're hungry. Good sauce on the smash burger sliders, fun wall decor, large patio. I'm taking note of the $5 breakfast burrito promo! Staff was kind and helpful explaining the menu.

This is my third time visiting this amazing local spot, and it keeps getting better. The food is consistently on point honestly, I'm a fan of the entire menu, but the sliders are the real stars. Simply the best. The service is excellent as well. You can tell they have genuinely great people working here. The interior is tastefully designed, warm, and welcoming. They also have something happening every day of the week, and the Friday live music is my personal favorite. If you're in Costa Mesa, Deli Nerds is an absolute must‑try. A true local gem.

Solid spot for good food, patio ambiance, and live music! I've been here three times for dinner and have tried about 8 different sliders so far. Each time I've gone for their 3 slider combo. My favorites so far are the banh mi and the cubano. From what I've had, the food is delish without feeling overly heavy. They had good evening patio ambiance with their lights and flame tower heaters. And, I happened to catch live ukulele music on a Friday night! As a fellow ukulele player, it's pretty rare to hear live ukulele music over dinner, so that was really cool! Music was chill and catchy. The food + vibes is great for friendly conversation or a casual date night. Cool staff too. Shoutout to Tina and Kyle for the friendly service. Overall, a solid spot with good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and an easygoing vibe!

say YES to the NERDS!!! Yes to Deli Nerds in Costa Mesa, CA! This deli menu is filled with soo many favorites and new discoveries that you wanna taste for your next visit! The manager Hannah was like you gotta try the Banh Mi Pork Slider and lowkey, doubtful but with the first bite, WOW! The smash slides were awesome along with their signature French Dip slider. Their salads were huge and fresh along with their bowls and wraps but what's really impressive is their protein selection! It's packed with premium quality meats like grilled salmon, marinated chicken breast, sirloin steak, shrimp and so much more! It's healthy eating that doesn't taste like cardboard.

Just did the sword challenge. It's not for the fain of heart. I fall but if you are going to try pick all smash burger sliders it's much easier to go down. Employees and owner are very supportive.

Have been looking forward to trying this place, because they are seed oil free. Was not impressed at all with the food. Ordered the Baja bowl, the steak was so well done it was not edible. There was also really nothing to the bowl it was mainly rice. We also ordered chicken skewers which were charred black and so dry we had to throw them out. Will not be back, complete waste of money and will have to get dinner elsewhere In response to the owner it seems she is unapologetic for serving food that is not edible. I would think if the food staff cannot get our first two meals right not sure how they could get a third meal right.

I like this place - really good deals, good seating/ambiance, and the food is good! The plaza is large as well so there's a decent amount of parking

The food was excellent, but our server Gabriel really made the night. He was attentive, funny, and gave great recommendations while answering all of our questions. We started with the prime beef tartare, shrimp ceviche and roasted cauliflower. All three were delicious. For entrees, we ordered the grilled octopus al pastor, short rib ravioli, branzino, and the 24 oz ribeye. Every dish was flavorful and well executed. The ribeye with mashed potatoes and mushrooms was cooked perfectly, but the standout for me was the short rib ravioli. I had heard of it before but never tried it until this visit. The pasta to filling ratio was spot on and every bite was excellent. For dessert, we ordered the espresso crème brûlée, which was rich, creamy, and well balanced. Gabriel also surprised us with a baklava cheesecake on the house, and our group could not stop talking about it. Combining baklava and cheesecake was a game changer. Definitely a place I would come back to.

The raichi drink was good and the miso carbonara was creamy and the proportion of bacon to pasta was perfect. It is super cute inside as well, but the service was kinda slow because they only had one server for all the tables. I think it's important to compare this to Ini ristorante because I think with this place being new that it is quite similar to Ini especially with the japanese italian fusion concept. I would say it is basically the same price if not more expensive than if you were to go to Ini and I personally think the food, ambiance and service is better at Ini than here. So in the future, I would be open to going back and there was nothing wrong with the restaurant, but I would definitely choose Ini over momonoki just cause I feel like I get more with how much I spend.

Know where you're aiming to go. - There is a sister restaurant named Mono Yama two doors down ...cue to me walking in between aimlessly because my friend recommended the place and all i recalled was "momo". That said, the people were super nice in both places. You can tell it happens often. We went right as it opened, and we got seated right away. The menu is via a QRC on the table. We ordered 3 things - vongole pasta. Previously they offered it uni but this one had claims and shrimp. We also got the pesto and the calamari. Calamari was crispy but it also was slightly too salty and seemed to be a lot of batter. The calamari pieces were small. The pesto pasta was okay, but the pesto wasn't the traditional pesto. I couldn't put my finger on it but it must've been the dashi. The udon was cooked well though. Soft, definitely not al dente. This vongole was the biggest miss. It had a taste that we also couldn't figure out, but it was not enjoyable to eat. We left the meal very dissatisfied. The friend I went with, who has gone before, also agreed it was disappointing. As someone who hates to waste food, we were very close to leaving nearly half of each dish there. My friend ended up taking it back. Later that evening, we both were feeling off. Idk, perhaps it was a coincidence. In the end, it was a truly sad experience.
