The Cajun shrimp was such a worth addition as well. The coleslaw was nice to cut through the fattiness The Alfredo was good as well although I wish the jerk chicken was juicier - they used breast meat here Side note: the ginger beer the carry is amazing and goes sooo well with the oxtail Service: I don't usually write much here but the service was so good. Jodi (Sp?) really makes you feel like he truly cares about what you have to say. Super friendly and will sit with you as you speak - he was doing this to the table beside us and I thought they were regulars. Turns out he just treats every table like a Vip. Big ups. Ambiance: Nice but not upscale or stuffy. Has a lot of character. Can be a bit loud. Allegedly music on Saturday evening but that night, the musician didn't show up.

He was extremely attentive to our table, was so pleasant to chat with and recommended really great food options. The shrimp add-on to the braised oxtail bowl was recommended by Jodie and we're so glad we did it. My personal favourite was the doubles here. We went for the spiciest level and it was amazing. Vibes are really fun and sometimes there is live music in the venue. We will definitely be going back!!!

Hands down my favourite seafood boil spot in the city. I've been coming here for about 6 years now…read moreand of course today did not disappoint as usual. I went there for lunch earlier and picked up two shrimp boils in medium spice, robot blend and it was great as usual. Service is always amazing and today was no different. I ordered mine to go and while I was waiting they offered me water to drink with lemon which was amazing as I was really thirsty. I also used the washroom before I left and it was clean and smelled good as usual. Will be back next week!

The place is quite small though nicely decorated. They use robots to carry the food around so I found that the service was went quite smoothly. My friend ordered oysters. I'm not a big fan of oysters but the one's here are of good quality. We each ordered a pound of mixed seafood. She ordered the shrimp and the frozen mussels, while I did the shrimp and fresh mussels. Then we had the seafood fried rice. Finally, we shared an order of lobster tail; they gave us two so we had one each. The seafood rice was superb; just the right amount of spice and full of flavour. My mixed seafood was also quite good. I was pleased with the shrimp. The mussels tasted fine although do take note that the fresh mussels tend to be smaller than the frozen ones. I had some mussels that were incredibly small, to the point where it didn't actually feel like I ordered a pound of seafood. I ordered the robot blend for my pound of seafood, which was stellar. Very good Southern boil flavours. I tried the coconut and curry sauce with the lobster tail and it tasted a little underwhelming. Another note: I ordered my seafood with the sauce while my friend ordered the sauce on the side. I would actually recommend ordering it on the side, especially if you have mussels, so you can get a good coating of sauce on the mussels themselves (as opposed to the shells). Overall, it was a good experience. If you're looking for a nice seafood boil place, this is a good place to start. This is close tot he Bloor-Yonge station so it's quite conveniently placed!

Summer and Winter get divided into early and late seasons, if you're curious (poor Spring and Autumn which are left out!) Had Pierogi Bigos - Polish sausage stew over pierogies (Polish dumplings). The stew was a little watery but tasty, though it was not as robust as you'd expect a winter stew to be. The combination of cabbage, sausage, sour cream & dill worked well.

The food was fresh and well-made, and reminded me of visiting family in Italy who have been making simple and delicious meals from scratch for generations. Because of the affordable price, I was concerned about portion size but they were generous and considerably larger than they appear in the menu's photos. I ordered two main dishes (each main is one protein and two sides for $13) and an extra two veggie-based sides (5) for two people at the end of a long day, and it was more than enough. On an average day, I think I would be satisfied with just a main - the sides included in the main are good dishes in their own right, no filler. I will order again or, post-covid, it would be a perfect to-go option for the park. Delivery was quick, ingredients were whole, and flavour was strong.

The restaurant is bare bones, but has a nice bench seating that spans the length of the seating area, a garage door opening to the street, and a small bar area near the kitchen. There is local art on one side of the wall and graffiti style decor on the opposite wall and washroom (which you can pickup one of the provided pens and tagged it yourself). The cajun fries are soft potato wedges coated in chili flakes and paprika. It comes with what looks like the burger sauce as dip and is tangy and finger licking good. Eating at Heartbreak is a messy affair. The portions are great for the price, the chicken is hot and fresh, piled high with coleslaw and sweet pickles on a brioche bun. The owner seems to be the soul (pin intended) cook, served us, did cash, and took care of the guests. Overall, the chicken was crispy, lots of meat, will be back to try their mac and cheese. Great easy bite when visiting Kensington. P.S. if you like super surreal promo videos (their old location) hit up @theheartbreakchef on Insta
