Here we go, my son Brandon heard about Metta Cafe through work and it's only 20 min drive for us. So off we go. We arrived in beautiful Lambertville paid the meter and found the establish down a small side street. Very cute inside and was greeted by a very nice counter person who helped us with the menu. The inside only has three tables so I'm assuming this is mostly a take out. My $3 coffee is the size of Wawa small, but the coffee was smooth. I ordered the maple sausage sandwich. The eggs were over easy so the yoked oozed out, the sausage and bacon were fresh and the bun was toasted perfectly. The taste was excellent with just the right amount of maple syrup. Ok now listen this was an $11 sandwich and it's not that big. For the size it's not worth $11 but the taste is. Remember your in Lambertville so you pay Lambertville prices. Would I recommend this place, absolutely, would I make it an everyday stop? Only if my paycheck allowed me. Cute place, good food. Good job to Matte Cafe. read more

Probably my favorite breakfast joint in Lambertville. Fresh, savory meals, really terrific staff/owners, and a cozy locals spot. Recommend you call before you go to make sure they're open. You can place your order in advance. I'm a huge fan of the cado smash, the turkey-brie-fig-arugula sandwiche, and the.... oh, who am I kidding? All of the grilled cheese sandwiches. Hubby loves the prosciutto egg and the chorizo egg sandwiches. You really can't go wrong. Very limited seating, but we're all friends in town anyway so it's all good. Happy to accommodate kids. Yum! We ordered ahead through their online portal which was easy to use, glad we did because we would have missed on some delicious items that are known to sell out on weekends. I personally got the figgy grilled cheese with prosciutto and a lavender latte. The portions are a very generous size, you can definitely share. I was craving a grilled cheese and after seeing pictures of ooey gooey cheese sandwiches on Meta Cafes Instagram, I knew exactly where I was headed. The shop is located where Di Napoli's used to be before they moved to New Hope in the Klines Court alley way. There's convenient metered parking right out front. It's small but super clean and bright inside with a few tables. The staff and owner were very friendly and made my soup and sandwich quickly. It tasted even better than it looked. The tomato soup was super creamy and tasty and the sandwich was just the right combo of bread and cheese. Perfect for dipping into the soup too. It totally hit the spot and was very filling. I have never written a review, but this new place deserves it. My new favorite breakfast and lunch place in Lambertville or New Hope!! Chorizo and egg sandwich was so good at Breakfast went back for lunch. They do upscale and creative takes on classics, but made best Pork roll, egg and cheese I have had in years. The French onion soup grilled cheese is my son's favorite and the toasts are incredible. Great food, great coffee, and great atmosphere. A must visit anytime you are in town. read more

I stopped in today to pick up two slices of prosciutto and a soup. When I asked for the prosciutto, I was asked if I wanted it on a sandwich. I reluctantly said it was for my sisters dog and I just wanted the slices to go. I was informed that their prosciutto was expensive for a dog and told I should go to the bbq place next door and ask for scraps. I felt forced to explain that the dog in question was about to be put down and I wanted the prosciutto(a paying customer should not have to explain why they want to patron your establishment). I was eventually given what I asked for. I felt the soup I had was mediocre but at the end of the day, my sisters dog got its favorite treat and managed to eat it. read more

It looks like they make the sandwiches one at a time and it takes an absurd amount of time for what it is. Order ahead!! Coffee is pretty good here but if you order two coffees and two egg sandwiches you're already spending $ 30+ which is wild. Not only is this cafe adorable and such a great spot, but it is also delicious! My husband and I stopped here for lunch and we ordered the "Figgy" grilled cheese sandwich, which was fan-figgy-tastic! Seriously, it was out-of-this-world delicious! We both tried the on-tap-nitro-tea (amazing) and an incredible espresso (literally, the perfect espresso). Their espresso machine is top notch. The owners themselves are super friendly, accommodating, and work hard to provide customers with a wonderful experience and great service. The food options, though limited, are made fresh from fresh ingredients. The cafe is pretty small, with limited seating. Though almost everything about this cute eatery is fantastic, receipts may bring tears to patrons' eyes. I live roughly 45 minutes away and I'd say the trip for a casual lunch is worth it. I'll definitely visit again and try something new, however, I think the customer service could have been friendlier. It wasn't very welcoming. Was visiting Lambertville this weekend and stumbled upon Meta Cafe, and I'm sure glad we did! We had the Burrata plate and an amazing Ricotta whip with fresh fruit. Everything was so good we went back for breakfast and coffee the next morning. The breakfast sandwiches on brioche and the avocado toast were incredible. In addition to the food being amazing, the cafe itself was beautifully designed and everyone we encountered working there was wonderful. I went to this place for the first time on my way home after walking out of the overly crowded Frenchtown Cafe and had a great breakfast sandwich along with excellent service....... Meta Cafe is now my "go to" place for breakfast and lunch. From now on I am now heading a few minutes south to the Meta Cafe instead of heading north to the Sky Cafe or Frenchtown Cafe. I added pork roll but it would've been just as great without meat added. I asked if they had caramel syrup for an iced latte and he started listing off all the flavors.
