My negative experience began with a call to confirm my service appointment after receiving a text reminder with a different time. I had the displeasure of being transferred to Paul King, who I can see from the below review has a pattern of rude and disrespectful behavior. The call began with him asking for my phone number, which I repeated twice before he read back a completely different number. When I again gave him my phone number he exclaimed "then why did you give me that number when I asked for your number." King's response from that moment on changed the entire tone of the call. I again repeated my phone number slowly and deliberately to which he responded that his system had copied and pasted an older number into his search field. He then, with an attitude, asked the reason for my call and I explained that I wanted to confirm my appointment time and that the text I received was different from what I was told while I was there. King then asks the reason for my visit and I replied that the appointment notes should explain the reason for my visit and I just wanted to confirm the time. King, now escalating his attitude, says that I need to speak with him in a nicer tone or he can't help me. I then ask to speak with someone else, because at this point he's turning a very simple call into a confrontation. He puts me on hold and returns saying that I need to talk to him better for him to help me. I again ask for someone else and when it became clear that he would not, I ended the call. Moving forward to Sept. 30, the date of my appointment, I arrived at 7:01 am to address an Acura Service Bulletin that was affecting my vehicle. The service advisor (Stacie G. Infante) took the keys to check the mileage and hang the service tag. I asked if I should wait for an initial response of whether I should come back later. I was told to come back later that evening. I received a text message from Stacie at 7:07 am advising that I could text that number during my service visit. I did not hear anything from Stacie or anyone else until 4:58 pm when I texted that same number to ask about the status of my vehicle. I received a response at 5:17 pm stating the following:"[] We did not hear any noises. The technician and I both drove the vehicle and there were no noises." It is unclear to me how from 7:01 am through 5:17 pm no one contacted me about the status of my vehicle or the supposed diagnostic that did not reveal an issue, and I expressed as much in my response to that message. At 5:21 pm someone responds saying: "If you would like to come and test drive with the technician tomorrow morning, you definitely may and see if the concern happens while you drive with him. We have to verify the concern." I responded that I was unwilling to waste any additional time with this service department and that I would instead pick up the vehicle. When I arrived, all the service staff had left and I was given the key along with a service report filled with untruths and a non-responsive diagnosis. Based on their report: "TECHNICIAN TEST DROVE VEHICLE OVER ROAD WITH BUMPS AND NO ABNORMAL NOISES HEARD DURING ROAD TEST. ADVISOR AND TECHNICIAN THEN TEST DROVE VEHICLE AND DROVER [sic] AROUND UNLEVELED SURFACES - NO NOISES HEARD. ADVISED GUEST TO TEST DRIVE WITH TECHNICIAN TO PINPOINT NOISE CONCERN. GUEST DECLINED AT THIS TIME. UNABLE TO VERIFY GUEST CONCERN." As it later became clear, this was patently false. Unbeknownst to them apparently, my vehicle has a dashcam that activates whenever the vehicle is turned on. Based on footage from my dashcam, the vehicle was dropped off at 7:01 am; from 7:03-7:04 am, the vehicle was briefly turned on and then off again while still in the service bay; from 7:33-7:36 am, the vehicle was turned on and moved from the service bay to a back parking lot--and the radio was on for the less than 3 minutes the vehicle was in operation; the vehicle remained in that parking spot until 5:09 pm (after my text message inquiry) at which point it was driven twice around the block with a single occupant until 5:13 pm when the vehicle was parked in the service bay and turned off; the vehicle did not move again until I picked it up at 6:32 pm. So in addition to lying about doing the proper diagnostic, Metro Acura falsified a business record and misrepresented the "work" that the service team actually provided. During the 4 minutes and 32 seconds that the vehicle was in operation, the driver did not actually test the vehicle under the conditions that I described or as described in the service bulletin referenced above. Moreover, Stacie did not make any offer for me to test drive the vehicle with a technician at any point that day until after I initiated a status inquiry and she responded by text message at 5:21. I left two messages with management at Metro, and to this date no one has responded. I recommend others contact the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. We reported them to the attorney general, the DMV, and the Better Business Bureau for their bait and switch tactics. Bryan (from sales), Jimmy Thompson (finance), Larvell Holis (finance) are horrible. Jimmy forgot to add the "DUE BILL" after adding more that $8,000 of added accessories to my sisters car, and when we called to inquire about the charges, we could not get ahold of anyone. My sister went back and forth through text messages, with Bryan and just got the runaround. She called Jimmy as well as the dealer and Jimmy claimed that he had no idea what was going on, but then brought in Larvell (WHO IS NOT HIS BOSS) to "mediate" the situation, but only made it worse. FYI - If a dealer does NOT provide you with a DUE BILL, the contract is automatically considered fraudulent and they have to return your money. It is a violation of California civil code 2982 - buyers disclosure for not disclosing an itemized bill. This dealer is currently being investigated for FRAUD and their bait and switch tactics. IF this happened to you, please file a report with the attorney general because they will lose their license to sell. We attempted to mediate with the dealer and requested to speak to the General Manager -whom Jimmy Thomson said "good luck, he doesn't speak to customers. He has people for that". I wanted to leave the one star review but Yanni has been going above and beyond to take care of the mistakes his team member has made so decided to leave a review based on his effort. He kept me updated and took care of everything we had agreed on. It took longer than I had hoped but he communicated all the time and took care of me with a loaner car. That's all I wanted. I purchased our 2020 MDX back almost 4 years ago here at Metro along with a pre-paid 4 year/6 Interval Plan which covers any, and all services, only at this Dealership which was fine. Fast forward to the beginning of this year. We call to schedule a routine maintenance, however instead of getting somebody in service, you get a Call Center which supposedly transfers you to service, nobody ever called back. Yesterday, we call to schedule another scheduled maintenance as well as a recall which we got a notification via mail. Call center once again, only to get disconnected. You call back, ask again for service, again disconnected. THIRD time, ask for a Supervisor, leave voicemail, no phone call back after thirty six hours now FYI, not sure if this Dealership is under new Management, if so they are doing a piss poor job when it comes to customer service. Proper etiquette is to call customers back the same day, you can't be that busy to ignore a customer for 36 hours, there is no excuse. So buyer beware, if you do purchase here, and you are offered a pre paid maintenance plan through Portfolio Protection beware, it is only good here at Metro. We even called Acura Customer Service, they said their hands were tied. Only to say "call another nearby Dealer to see if they will honor the plan" Not what you want to hear as a loyal customer Again, there is an open recall on an Air Bag Sensor, which I'm certain is not safe for our family while Metro Acura ignores all of our phone calls. This dealer had my vehicle for a month due to a defective caliper. In addition to the caliper, the air conditioner was also not functioning properly. The customer service is horrible, from Diana telling me that I will have to make my concerns appear, to Fernando, the manager telling me that he just got back from a 2-week vacation and reminding me that I'm not the only customer. Steer clear, drive the extra distance to Covina! Thomas Acura is the way to go! After all my dash warning lights went off on my 100k plus mileage MDX, Metro Acura pulled codes P0171 and 174 and then recommended $5000 to do a throttle body, fuel injector, valve adjustment, transmission fluid, and check timing services. I felt like I was being scammed so I just did the transmission fluid since my $227 diagnostic fee could be "applied to the repair" I then took my car to Thomas Acura where they pulled the same codes and they cleared the warnings by cleaning the MAF sensor. No charge! And since Metro Acura didn't apply the $227 to the transmission fluid I ended up paying $827 for the fluid exchange which Thomas Acura told me was too much. I found Thomas Acura prices to be less than half of Metro, and so I went ahead and did the aforementioned valve, throttle body, and fuel service recommendations for $900 (compared to almost $5000 at Metro) Cant believe in the 21st century one must still be wary of certain mechanics. I recommend you go to Thomas acura! Ask for Brad! He even put in a brand new MDX as a Loaner vehicle. read more

I highly recommend that you do not bring your car for service to this Dealer. I have a 2021 RDX bought Leased/Bought at Burbank Accura. Brought it in for service a few weeks ago for a Front Bumper Sensor problem. I hit a cone on the Freeway and One of the Sensor light was acting up on my Dash. When I brought it in for a Tech Inspection $220 cost and then they told me two Sensors needed to replace, which I did not understand why. The next day they told me the cost was going to be $1150 for total repair. This did not sound right told my Mechanic Friend and told me to find out the cost of the part (Sensor) at their part Department it was $115 dollars. Paid for my oil change only and went home. Then my friend came to my house with a "OBD Scanner" that looks at all the electric configuration of the RDX and found nothing was wrong with the Sensors. So he went under the car 's front bumper Push one of the sensors the was push out due to impact and everything worked fined afer. I went back to the dealer and wanted them to refund me the Tech Inspection money $220 which was a bad diagnostic on their part saying I needed 2 sensors and about $900 in labor to fix which my friend popped back in 10 mins . At the dealer the service manager argued that the inspection was correct and the fee was appropriate, ask JD the Internate Director to help me out since they wanted to buy my RDX said he would but never called bac. In summary at leased I did not get screwed out to the $1,150 they wanted. Its difficulty financial times right now and this dealership does not give a damn and will screw their customers if they can. When I dropped my car off I was told they need it for the day (was told one hour on the phone) also they said the gas tank needed to be less than half. Poor customer service. Took my car in at 10:45am for my 11:00am appointment. Was told price and it would take 2 hours. At 2:00pm I decide to call them to get an update. Receptionist asked to put me on hold while she finds out. I was on hold for 15 minutes and she asked me "what time was it supposed to be ready?" I let her know 1:00pm and she said I'll have to call you back and get you a better answer. Apparently 15 minutes on hold isn't enough time to get me an answer. I've been to several different car "service" places and they will all call and notify if it's going to take longer than expected. I know these things happen but if a majority of your business is based on having good customer service, don't expect customers to come back if you can't spare a couple minutes to let them know what's going on. Called back to follow up the next day and again promised a call back from the manager and once again....no return call. A week later and the car is still available (mind you it's been at the lot a month and a half), so again we called to speak with the manager to see if we could negotiate the price. The woman we spoke to went and spoke with the manager and came back and rudely stated "the price is firm and the manager is just going to tell you the same thing I did." Ready for the bait and switch? Then go try and buy a car here. I am only leaving 1 star review because I there is no option to leave negative stars. First off, I do not like dealing with car dealerships when buying a car, and this experience just solidified for me exactly why I don't like the experience. I am a previous Acura owner and was looking forward and very ready to purchase a new RDX. I knew what I wanted and had already test drove one at another dealership who didn't have the model I wanted, I located the model I wanted at Metro Acura. I was excited, made an appointment with Madeline to look at it on Saturday at noon. I went to Metro Acura along with my parents ,who are both Acura owners already, and we met Chris who pulled the car out for us and was ready to test drive. (I'm not mentioning the confusion of who I was supposed to have the appt with and that not being explained until later). Long story short, after the test drive I was ready to negotiate a price. The dealer had sent me an email prior with a quote less then MSRP and would honor my CarMax trade as well, until the quote from the dealer was reneged. After going back and forth about 20 minutes all of the sudden another customer who drove it last night is here signing paperwork and the "car is no longer available". Wait a minute , I've been here for almost an hour, have already agreed to a price and now it's gone? Yes Chris said, but I can offer you a more expensive model and we can try that or a certified preowned. No I said, I wanted new. and not the more expensive model, we already came to a price. I couldn't believe he led me on that long and the car was sold out from under me. Not one other customer was inside that place or on the lot while I was there. All the sales men were having a pow wow in the lobby during the entire failed transaction . I said thank you for your time and I will take your card in case I need to call you in the future . I was nice about it to, Keeping my feelings to myself. Obviously I left feeling bummed and had felt I had been lied to and jerked around when dealing with the staff at Metro Acura. I was willing to let it go until Chris texted me about 30 minutes later saying the other customer wanted a different vehicle and the car was available to me at MSRP if I wanted to come back, Wait, what? You literally said it was GONE and the deal was DONE , but now it is available again? Funny how that works, nice bait and switch ??? That is sure what it felt like. I asked what the final price would be (and now it did not include what he had already said he would honor. Remember, I had all the quotes in writing , even the one being from the dealer itself !) He again told me that another customer had just come into the dealer and was looking at the same car (convenient , seeing as how you pulled the car from the back not knowing if you even had one on the lot, I knew because you only had 1, and it hadn't been washed in a few days let alone test drove with 6 miles on the vehicle when I got in it) while we were texting and that in mere seconds it had magically been sold again. Apparently it's a super "rare model" in this state, even though I've located about 3 to 4 others on my own. As a consumer I had done all my due diligence, I was not looking for any bs to be thrown at me by anyone and here I was being jerked around by this dealership. Purchased a car here, during the test drive the car was made available running and the sales person hid an awful flaw with the car, the auto start-stop feature for energy efficiency. Not that I mind this feature but the implementation of it by Acura is simply atrocious and the worst part is that you can't disable it permanently. The other portion of why this is a disappointment and the main cause for this review is that the senior management of Metro Acura refused to listen to my complaints directly and all my efforts to provide this feedback directly went unheard. Aside from all of the other issues of a first-gen model revision, this took the cake. Notice to buyers: if you run into any issues, do not expect ANYONE to try to help address these. So the wife wanted a new car. Specifically she wanted an Acura. Needless to say, I was very hesitant to go to dealer because they are pushy and will tell you what they want you to hear. However, Yiwen was different. He helped my wife and answered all her questions during her test drive. The wife immediately fell in love with the car and wanted one. We found one that we liked, but I wasnt crazy about the added accessories which acura charges you, but do include with the purchase price. So I told Yiwen if he could work with me on the price. He said the he would see what he could do. Needless to say, I wasnt overwhelmed with his lack of negotiation on the accessories and decided to look at other dealers. I respectfully told him that I was looking elsewhere, but if he had a great deal on the car to please email or text me. He eventually texted me a few hours later and told me that was the best price he could do. He also noted that he cant "give it away for free". He also texted me "with all due respect, Im not going to sit here and negotiate with you, just to shop with me". Yiwen, if you are reading this. Here is a "life advice" for you, young man. Whenever you tell somebody with "all due respect" it means that your next comment will come across disrespectful, and your saying that to cover up your comment. You are a "professional" car dealer who is in the people business, you may want to reconsider your words. Especially on a text. Props to thr service department. They always do a great job. Fast service and reasonable recommendations. Fairly priced for a dealer service department. Pre-COVID they had a pretty well stocked snack and beverage area. During COVID-19 there is only a vending machine, understandable given the circumstances. It seems as though they did reduce thier hours, they close at 5:30pm now and not 7pm. Unsure if this is a temporary change or a permanent, but it does make it more difficult to get here for service on a weekday afterwork. Either way would recommend this place. read more

Metro Acura service center is a JOKE! Mind you, I have been a customer of Metro since 2015, have had multiple cars from Nissan, Honda and most recently, Acura. From all the years I've been a customer of Metro, Acura has been the worst experience when it comes to service. They don't value your opinion or business, the service advisor Diana is rude and tries to get away with it by being passive aggressive. They don't care for their customers satisfaction whatsoever. For convenience, I have always taken my vehicles to get serviced there and granted, every other occasion has been good because it was just the typical oil changes being serviced. Now, that I bought a vehicle with a defective touch screen (2024 Acura, screen started to black out, go grainy and then blue repeatedly) I was told JUST to run a diagnostics test, I would need to leave my vehicle for 2-3 days possibly up to a week just to run a test that can be completed in 2 hours. When I expressed my concerns leaving my vehicle that I NEED, for that many days, I was told to either leave the vehicle or not if I wanted it the test to be done. I asked if they would possibly offer a loaner as I need my car for work and Diana immediately shut that down. They truly value your business there and go above and beyond for you! They gladly helped me out and got my vehicle in today as soon as they opened, diagnostics test was completed in 2 hours, and I went about the rest of my day. Alan Sze is amazing even offered me the loaner vehicle as it is a manufacturer defect and whole infotainment screen will need to be replaced. Requested a quote from the dealership. From a saleswoman who I will leave nameless for now. She said she'd get me a great deal she then followed up with a 660 dollar a month quote with 3k down when the National incentive is 3k down 300 a month. I understand there are taxes and feels but over doubling the price is crazy to me. I asked her why it was so expensive she said this includes taxes and accessories I asked about the accessories she said I was required to buy them. I asked her if its 100 percent no doubt required and she said yes I couldn't say no if I wanted. For accessories that aren't installed on a vehicle yet that isn't at the dealership yet I'm being forced to pay 6000 for accessories I don't want from a dealership that won't honor National incentives. Extremely disappointed with Acura, we did all the right things, we called ahead, figured out pricing, took the names down, triple checked our info with Madeline before driving over an hour to metro Acura, we were referred here by Costco auto program. when we get there we discussed all the options and they showed us the vehicle we discussed on the phone. Then it's BAIT AND SWITCH. They asked to run my wife and I's credit so we asked to see the no haggle Costco pricing. Over the phone with Madeline we were quoted $34,794 (internet price) and that when we arrived and verified our Costco membership, only then would we be quoted the additional discount of Costco. Well of course the internet price cannot be discounted once we arrived. (No Costco discount) Those of you wondering- COSTCO price is $850 off a RDX ACURA. and if you're looking for a mdx you can expect to get $1250 off the msrp price. Something they make you actually go into the dealership to find out. ANOTHER KICKER! - what they don't tell you is that to save money through Costco you CANNOT qualify for any APR financing promotions they have. While a standard msrp sale can net you 0.9 % during promotion, the Costco ($800 off) discount nets you a %6 interest rate. No I'm not kidding. %6 is what they presented us on a brand new 2020 Acura RDX. GETS BETTER!!- the #1 reason you should avoid this dealer above all. Their (ACCESSORy package) which comes standard on ALL vehicles regardless of incentives, promotions, discounts, whatever... they claim they install upon arrival a security system (which comes standard with Acura regardless) 3m paint protector and door bump protectors (the clear piece of tape that you see on the edge of a door) for a low low price of $3000. But since we are all amazing customers they're nice enough to give you %25 off. I asked for that fee to be removed 5 times and was denied 5 times being told that this is added to every vehicle metro Acura sells. No other dealership does this. (Riverside Acura does not apply this fee by force) This experience was a complete waste of time, I hope this helps others that may be commuting more than 20-30 min away to look at cars here. SALES REVIEW: So I started doing some research into the Acura crossover (MDX) as I am getting close to lease end and wanted to see what the SH-AWD was all about on the road. I have my current leased crossover that has torque vectoring and need the same feature so the list was short (Acura SH_AWD, Audi Quattro, Range Rover TVBB, and Porsche PTV). I made contact thru Edmunds which had a discounted quote. Shortly afterwards, the dealer rep emailed me and said: "Dear Pat, I was in contact with you recently and I just wanted to confirm the appointment time we agreed upon: Date - 5/28/2018 Time - 11:30 AM Our address is 9377 Autoplex Drive in Montclair, CA 91763. We are right off of the 10 Freeway between the Monte Vista and Central Avenue exits. When you turn on Autoplex Drive, please drive towards the end of the cul-de-sac and make a right on the last driveway. When you arrive at the dealership, let your sales consultant know that you are here for your V.I.P. Appointment with our Senior Manager. Madeline Hughlock Client Care Representative" Upon arrival, no one was present - saw a couple sitting at a table but no one in the lot nor in the showroom. Waited for 10 minutes then went to the back of the showroom and found 5 people in black shirts just chatting. I asked if I could get some assistance and got one fellow who asked what I wanted and I said a new car sales. He said, let me get someone else for you. A few minutes later someone shows up and says "I'll get someone else" and leaves. Finally a nice young sales person shows up and greets us. He shows us a base RDX and MDX but does not offer to show us the one we wanted (Tech package). The lot was so small, we could not see another trim level. The cars were all covered in dust and hard to see them as new cars. On the other hand, our sales person was quite knowledgeable and did answer questions about the 2018 vs 2019 makeover versions. However, we did not feel we were treated like a VIP as the email suggested. By this time we are on the lot for over 30 minutes and didn't get a good feeling that this dealership wanted to sell. So for the first time, we left the lot without a test drive and removed Acura from our list of possible candidates.... Rule for this dealership: Don't go to this dealership unless you want to waste your time. By the way, there was no "senior manager" that helped us - the email was a canned response. read more
