Breakfast is served until 11:00 a.m. Menu options include an interesting twist on traditional breakfast and lunch items. Eggs are farm fresh, oats are organic and tomatoes are heirloom. Daily specials are listed on a chalk board. Prices are reasonable. I had the Griddled Sourdough BLT which was packed with bacon, lettuce and heirloom tomato. My sandwich was beautiful and tasted great. The hand cut fries tasted delicious. My husband had Bob's Breakfast, a dinner favorite named for one of the dinner's first customers. The plate is a delicious concoction of hashbrowns, topped with two eggs, smothered in sausage gravy. My husband said "it works!" and devoured the entire plate. In a case by the cash register were the most gorgeous cookies that were huge. The cookies are made fresh daily. We took home a Blueberry Cream Cheese Cookie that was probably the best cookie that I've ever tasted. I'm not exaggerating. The cookie was chewy with caramelized edges and lots of flavor from the fresh blueberries. I'll be making regular trips to Morgantown for those dang cookies. The restrooms are a bit tight. I'm guessing a wheelchair could not get through the door. There are a couple picnic tables outside if you want to bring your dog and eat. There is plenty of parking in their private lot. I'll be returning to try the dinner menu. I have to try the Shrimp and Grits.

We both ordered the quintessential Indiana sandwich - Pork Tenderloin. I got the grilled and he got the fried. Never in my life have I seen a meal called a "sandwich" that looked like this. The tenderloin was as big as a dinner plate. The bun looked a decoration more than the basis for a sandwich. The meat was easily twice or three times the diameter of the ornamental bun. Neither of us could even eat half. Deferring to my Hoosier native, he declared this one of the best tenderloins he ever had. Unfortunately, my grilled version was a bit dry. We have made tenderloins at home in TN. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they pounded that cut of meat into the shape they served.

I took my food home, and everything was still warm. The burger (a double) was smaller than I remembered. I had to check to make sure there were actually two patties, but they were both there. The white-bread bun was stuck to the meat and cheese, and tore apart when I tried to open it. The burger was small, but it did have good flavor and was not greasy at all. The fries were mostly stuck together in a big clump. They tasted like they might have been sitting around for a while. The onion rings tasted just like the ones you get at Burger King, only larger. Same thickness, flavor, texture... identical. The blackberry cobbler might have been the star of the show. It was small, but very good. I don't get deserts very often, but I enjoyed this one. The blackberries were flavorful but not full of seeds. It was served warm, also. Considering that I got desert and a 32 ounce drink, $17 was a pretty good deal I guess. I'd really like that double cheeseburger to be a little meatier, though. I added updated pictures of the menu, since the one I saw online was 10 years old!

Ambiance is good. Nice and warm place on a cold night. The server was friendly. So was the manager. Unfortunately, the disregard of food safety measures by the kitchen staff was repulsive. I sat in my booth and watched three cooks handle prepared foods with their bare hands. One cook repeatedly wiped his hands on his dirty apron and then went right back to grabbing food and placing it onto plates. A fourth cook leaned against a counter as he slurped his drink right next to prepared food. It is obvious they do not practice good food safety measures at this establishment. When I spoke to the friendly manager, she offered to get the owner who was working in the kitchen! As if this wasn't enough to lose my appetite, the meatloaf came out cold. We left without eating. I feel bad for the super friendly staff, but this place can't be a safe place to eat! read more

On a 10 scale, the coleslaw was a seven, the tenderloin sandwich was a nine, and the fries were an eight. The sloppy joe was a six. I think the reason why the sloppy Joe didn't rank higher is because it was just dry loose seasoned hamburger meat. It didn't have any sauce in it whatsoever to hold it together. It was more like a loose meat sandwich or a taco burger. Those sandwiches are generally drier and crumbly in texture. I also like the option of having some cheddar cheese with a sloppy joe, or any similar hamburger type of sandwich. I would definitely consider coming again and trying something different. I noticed they had some comfort food classics on their menu like ex: chicken and dumplings and meatloaf. I hear they're usually pretty busy and packed when it comes to their breakfast crowd.
