I used to go to Monarch dental and I hated it, so I would put off my appointments as much as I could. The staff was never professional, they would push me to get things done that I didn't need. Every 6 months, Monarch wanted me do a deep cleaning making my out of pocket be $300 (after insurance) I am relatively new at my job and most of my coworkers go to Dr. Wadhwa. I heard great things about her. I scheduled an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and it had been about a year since the last one, so I expected them to suggest a deep cleaning and offer other things while I was there. When I arrived I was greeted by Maria, the receptionist/office manager. She was super friendly and helpful. Then I got my x-rays taken and my cleaning done. I never felt pushed to do anything besides what I needed and they told me a regular cleaning would be ok because I was in good shape. Doctor Wadhwa was very sweet and professional and she pointed out a couple of things that I may need done, but also said that we had time and I didn't need to get them done right away. I feel very lucky to have a dentist that I like, nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but I can definitely trust that they see me as a patient that they are taking care of, and not as a customer used to reach a sales goal. When I left I had $0 out of pocket cost, and they gave me a bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, some snacks, a mug with a spoon and even flowers! Ha! Well played Dr. Wadhwa! read more

I found Dr. Wadhwa through my dental insurance provider (United Healthcare). Before going to any medical professional, I like to do my research and to ensure I have a good experience. After reading positive reviews about this dentist, I figured I'd give her a try especially since the practice is near my office around Midway & Spring Valley Rd. When I went in for my first appointment, Maria, the person at the front desk, greeted me. After about 3 minutes of waiting, I was asked to come "inside" from the lobby (exactly on-time). My teeth were X-rayed by a friendly dental hygienist and subsequently Dr. Wadhwa reviewed them with me. I had a couple of fillings that needed to be re-worked and was in need of removing all 4 of my wisdom teeth. After reviewing everything, my teeth were thoroughly cleaned by a hygienist that loved her job. She did not rush and took her time to make sure my teeth with nice and clean. It was a good feeling that she enjoyed what she did. I wish I caught her name so I could mention it in this review. After my initial appointment, I went ahead and scheduled my fillings and wisdom teeth removal. My fillings were done by Dr. Wadhwa. There was local anesthetic administered to my gums to minimize discomfort. It went smooth and the entire appointment took less than an hour and my numbing subsided within 2-3 hours. My wisdom teeth were extracted by Dr. Wadhwa's husband and business partner, Dr. Gandhi. He is well-qualified and specialized in periodontics and implants. He's at this location every other Wednesday (or maybe it's every Wednesday) for surgeries and other special procedures. Every other day, he is at his own practice at the Firewheel center in Garland. Before going through with the surgery, I researched Dr. Gandhi -- he graduated magna cum laude from his undergrad studies and cum laude from his dental school. He's also maintained a 5.0 rating on Google -- this, coupled with his education showed a great track record. I had held off getting my wisdom teeth removed for several years (I am 32), however, I decided it was time and Dr. Gandhi was more than qualified to do the job. My wisdom teeth extraction appointment took about 2 hours. I was given laughing gas and Dr. Gandhi was very informative. The surgery itself was seemed very quick (less than 20 minutes) and went very smoothly. I had minor discomfort thereafter and the recovery was quick. What made me feel very comfortable was the fact that I had a direct number to reach Dr. Gandhi by phone/text. I felt like it was easy to ask him questions about what to eat, etc via text -- he was super polite and answered my inquiries quickly. Bottom line: I recommend visiting this practice (and Dr. Gandhi's practice) for your dental needs. I was always seen on-time (4 appointments so far) and everything has been efficient to-date. The staff is very friendly and the doctors are knowledgeable, qualified, and most importantly, love what they do. read more

Dr. Wadhwa is seriously a lifesaver! I have been going to Metroplex for a year now and they have been extremely kind and helpful in this journey with me. It had been a long time since I had been to a dentist and it took some coaxing for me to actually get in the door, but here I am a year later and we are making progress. When Dr. Pace retired and Dr. Wadhwa took over I was wondering if I should start looking for a new place to go. Well after my first visit with Dr. Wadhwa I knew there was no need. She is extremely friendly and personable and got to know me quickly. She is also very thorough in her examination. First visit was for a routine cleaning, she found areas that needed to be filled so I scheduled the next appointment for that, and it was a breeze. Dr. Wadhwa and her team seem to work very quickly which I like! She was straight forward with me in telling me I wasn't brushing my back teeth well enough and my gums were in bad shape. She told me exactly how I could turn it around, so I followed her advice and by my next visit she told me how much better they were looking. Had a great experience at Metroplex implants and family dentistry today getting a cracked filling replaced. They did it in less than an hour, no numbing - and no pain! At a different dentist, I received a painful root canal 4 years ago. I have always had high anxiety around dental work, barely getting my teeth cleaned. While the entire staff is extremely friendly, I had some terrible experiences. For my first initial visit/cleaning, they were extremely accommodating to me and my husband. Since both our schedules are demanding, we were looking to come in first thing in the morning together, and we needed to be cleaned at the same time because we were sharing one car (my car was in the shop). Though both the husband and wife own the practice, only Dr. Radhika Wadhwa usually does the cleaning while her husband, Dr. Ghandi, performs any of the oral surgeries. However, they arranged it to where both Drs. would help with the cleaning for me and my husband. Dr. Wadhwa was very thorough with me and did the cleaning herself, and my husband thought his cleaning was fine. My husband was told he had a cavity, so he scheduled to come in at a later date. I was told I needed a mouth guard, so I went ahead and made a mold that morning. A few days later after I had left town for the holidays, I was contacted and told that my mold was broken by their lab, and I had to come back in. So, I came back nearly a month later to get another mold done. I had to then come back in a couple of weeks to pick up the mouth guard and have it fitted. When I came back, it did not fit at all, and Dr. Wadhwa told me that it was probably because my teeth had shifted within those weeks and that they couldn't alter it because the lab tech had already gone home for the day. So, they had to take ANOTHER mold (third time). However, during this third visit, they didn't seem to have the tray size to fit my teeth (she told me I had a weird size set of teeth), and so they kept having to do the mold again and again and again. I had to do a total of FIVE molds for this one mouth guard, and I even vomited once on myself because there was so much gunk in the tray. I was shaking my head no, but they kept pushing the tray so far down my mouth. When I finally came back two weeks later to pick up my mouth guard, it did fit; however, the hygienist was the one modifying my mouth guard slightly to ease the pressure. As for my husband's fillings, he told me initially that he felt they didn't level the filling properly because it was giving him a headache when he bit down. He's had fillings before, so I trust he knows the process and how it should feel. Neither of us were very impressed with our experience. I think they are still young and not as experienced as I would want for my dentist. We initially chose to go with them because they were convenient to our location and were very accommodating to us. However, the more we visited, the more we realized this place wasn't for us. The receptionist is very kind and apologized repeatedly for the experience I went through, and though it may have been a one-off occurrence like she tried to explain, it's not a chance I'm willing to take again. Overall, I would say the office hours aren't great (M 8am-5pm and T-F 7:30am-4:30pm - closed on weekends), the quality was mediocre, but the friendliness of the staff is exceptional, which is why I give it two stars. I've experienced MUCH better, but I do wish them the best of luck. read more

I went to one consultation at another oral surgeons office but didn't feel comfortable and didn't go through with it. I was recommended Smiles at Galleria by one of my friend and this place definitely lived up to my expectation. Dr. Wadhwa is very informative and easy to talk to. Very honest and gives right kind of recommendation in terms of whether particular procedure is needed or can be avoided which is my biggest pet peeve walking into dentist office to be asked to do things which are not necessary. Staff is very cordial, inviting and are flexible in accomodating appointments. Also, they follow up with patients for regular checkups and reminds them with their upcoming appointments. After doing some research & reaching a number of dental offices, I so happened to contact Smiles at Galleria on a day considered to be a winter freeze. While many businesses were closing early due to the weather, the office manager, Jamilla answered the phone with such a pleasant tone and apologized because she had the calls routed to her personal cell phone. Wow! After being so apprehensive to speak to a dental office, we had a short casual conversation that WASN'T about what type of insurance coverage I had, but how my day was going. And since it's been so many years since I visited a dentist, she gave me a sense of comfort to know that I had nothing to worry about. My first visit, today, was filled with so much anxiety that everyone sensed it and they did everything in their power to ease that. I met with with Dr. Wadwha and I cant begin to explain how informative she was with my current state to any procedures that I may have needed. It was like talking to family. Everyone was so hospitable, and every person I came in contact with, thanked me for coming out, even being open to contacting them with any concerns. I am a regular patient at this office, before about an year I was little worried when I saw new doctor was taking over, I was assured by my doctor that the new one is as good as he was, I was little relaxed but still not sure what to do. To top it I had some problems and had to go she the new doctor (Dr. Radhika), she looked at the problem and helped me. She's so nice that I just don't have words, the way she did the treatment I didn't feel any pain at all. She personally called me to check if I was doing good. I have been going to Dr. Radhika Wadhwa for about 2 years now, and couldn't say anything but outstanding things about her and her team. I was born with many dental issues, so I have sat in many dentist and periodontist chairs. I now take my entire family (along with our 6 year old) here, as well as recommend her to every co-worker and friend I know. I always feel very welcomed by each staff member. If you have a fear of going to the Dentist, I would say this is your place. Also, they work with you to come up with the best options for your budget, goals, and what is best for you.
