Expensive, still under construction and tasty cream top jasmine tea but still this was $7.25! They only accept cash or Venmo.

Used to come here a lot in high school and it looks like a lot has changed due to their loss of customers from the pandemic. They closed off the back seating area but there's still a table available with outlets for those who want to study! I wish there were more tables with seats tho so I can bring my friends to lock in wit. Some things that stayed the same though are that the workers here are so sweet and welcoming. A definite 10/10 for service and I only waited less than 10 minutes for my drink. I've tried all of their cheese cream drinks by now and they'll always be my favorite. I recommend their Necko Matcha Cheese Cream! I like that this place is lowkey for a private study sesh but I also do wished more people knew about MewTea and their cheese cream drinks. If you're a sucker for cute cat aesthetics and bomb drinks with reasonable price, then definitely try MewTea!!! They also sell cute pins and plushies as well!

Experience and about: I was so surprised I haven't seen this place in Garden Grove! I'm a Milk Tea junkie and have tried every place in GG. I stumbled across this place after eating at Soju Belly and it was closed since it was quite late. I came here within business hours a few days (beware their business hours are quite different too which isn't a problem to me since I'm a late riser) after spotting it, I was quite pleased by the cute interior just like everyone on here had been saying! It would seem like this tea house is a small business. This place deserves all the support and definitely more attention! The girl with glasses had such a sweet and kind customer service :'). she was super patient about the payment (since they only take Venmo, Zelle, or cash I was definitely unprepared since I had no cash on me so my boyfriend and I went with the Zelle route) Drinks: I got the Thai Mew Tea and it did not disappoint at all. I'm quite a picky person when it comes to food and drinks. The Thai Mew Tea was not super overpowering on the creamer which I loved! I often see a lot of different joints lacking in that area by adding too much really reducing the true Thai flavor down. But this definitely gets my satisfcation and sign of approval! The Thai is nutty, not bitter, and is very harmonious with the creamer they add. My boyfriend got the Pearly Mew Tea(?) I can't remember the name all that well. I gave it a try and I was quite pleased. It didn't taste like just heavy whole milk and brown sugar. It felt like the drink had an actual profile to it. The boba is squishy, soft, and flavored perfectly. The brown sugar melts into the drink so perfectly so it doesn't feel like you're just inhaling brown sugar with a side of milk. My boyfriend and I were so happy about this drink and really surprised by the quality. In our experience this brown sugar milk was definitely something that stood out to us in comparison to other joints. It wasn't lacking anywhere by being too milky, or too sweet with the brown sugar. I'm not really a fan of brown sugar milks but this one is definitely something that is well-balanced. Price: The cup sizes are fair for a regular it's a 20oz so they aren't skimping out on any product even for a regular... They even have 2 other different sizes to offer to your liking! The price was fair for how much product we got, it wasn't overdone on ice or anything of the sort, which I am very much happy about. Overall, this business definitely deserves more exposure and everyone should give it a try! I don't think you will be disappointed :). And as well to the business owner you're doing amazing! Keep it up! My boyfriend and I really appreciate you.

Picked this place since it was in the way to the park. We placed our order and waited a good 30 minutes or more for our drinks. Not sure if they were understaffed but I am used to getting my drink within minutes and finishing it under 29 minutes. Hubby got the milk tea and I got the peach lemonade with lychee bits. They ran out of aloe, regular boba and egg pudding that day. Milk tea: 3/5 tasted a lot like milk with a hint of tea. Peach lemonade: 4/5 at zero % sweetness it was still sweet which was understandable since it's the syrup that makes up the flavor. Everyone else said their drinks were just ok but the wait was crazy longggg. They only accept Venmo or cash.

Cute spot, I think my girlfriend would've liked the cat themed stuff here, but the drinks are...okay. This is a review mainly on the drinks. The decor is an easy 5/5. Personally I'm down with the good aesthetics. Definitely a spot just to see what it's about. Unfortunately, I don't think the drinks quite live up to the decor. Both drinks I've ordered were just okay, average in Orange County and neither was really pleasant to drink despite it being not sweet. Neko Matcha with Cheese foam: 3/5 The drink had pink cheese foam, which I guess goes with the theme of the cafe, but IMO the milk powder is too strong even with a good mixing. When you taste it at first, you get a mouthful of powder that weakens the rest of the drink. Also, There wasn't a way to adjust the sweetness, but it's not that sweet to begin with. Even with a good stir, the foam was not my thing either. The foam just tasted off, not really something I'd get again. Rose Tea: 3/5, I tried this to get a sense of what the tea is like and my biggest gripe is how little tea there is in it. Others may prefer it as it's much sweeter than the neko matcha, but I was kinda bummed out for the weak tea. Overall, great aesthetics and fair price for what you get. For cat lovers it's definitely great. For drinks and tea it's a bit weak imo.

I wanted to try MewTea Cafe and it was not worth it. I ordered the House Mew Tea as it was supposed to be their most "popular" drink and not only was it expensive at $7.15, the "Jade Black Tea" was nonexistent. There was no flavor and tasted like water. The boba pearls had no taste as well and was similar to when I tried to make boba at home. The menu was also quite difficult to read as it was all handwritten and behind a plastic cover. The server wasn't very helpful either. I had to Venmo/Zelle the payment, so overall, a terrible experience. I would not recommend this place. I've never paid so much for "boba" before

" there best sellers"

Bringing my wife here late night!!! Got recommended their " BEST SELLER ", price was $7.50 for an regular size. they did have a bigger size which in hidden fee. Never thought i would have to pay for $12isshh for an boba in an bigger size. Taste: Worst experiences ever. Drink is extremely sweet which might make me diabetic and unfavorable. Jee. Have to throw away whole cup since it's undrinkable. Not recommended and pricey compared to some local stores.

This place was closed even though it was well before the closing hour. I was eager to try it, but it looks abandoned.

Cat themed boba cafe? Sure, I'm in. MewTea is small cafe tucked in between a soju bar and a hair salon. It could easily be missed if you're not looking for it. When you walk in it feels like you've walked into someone's dorm room. There's upbeat pop music playing and random cat decor splattered around. I was greeted by a very sweet girl who chatted with me while I decided what to order. They have brewed teas, fruit teas, cheese cream teas and even fresh pressed juices. But they don't have as many flavor options as other larger boba chains. I went with a Jasmine Mewtea ($3.45) which is a jasmine green tea with organic half n half and I added honey boba ($0.45). They didn't offer me any customization in terms of sweetness or ice level, but luckily my drink wasn't too sweet. The jasmine flavor was just right and their honey boba was fresh with a good chewiness. Although this is a cafe, they don't serve any food here besides flan for some reason. This is a small establishment and the people are really nice. Give them a chance if you're in the area. If you plan on becoming a regular, they have a stamp card.

Very small, cute tea shop. Lots of very cute figurines and overall theme of the shop. Makes it feel very aesthetic and just brings your mood up a bit. The server was very considerate and seemed to be working by themselves. Props to them. They gave great service whilst working by themselves. The taste of the drinks were great, but not exceptional. The cups are cute though. The only downside to this place is that you can't really bring a big group for hanging out as it is small and that orders may take some time if there are more people. Other than, its a cute cat/gaming themed tea shop.

What a cute little tea shop! It's located next to Soju Belly so the parking's a little tight. The drinks are fairly inexpensive and really yummy! I recommend the Strawberry Green Tea since it's really fruity and is made with real strawberries, not syrup. My only issue is that they had the Yelp check in for a free drink available, but they told me it wasn't valid until the next day :( Oh well, I'll still stop by when I'm in the area!

Everything tasted fresh! The boba was soft and chewy. The drinks tasted great! You can get a regular size or upgrade to a large, which is HUGE. The workers are so nice and I love the cat theme. Try it out for yourself.

The staff here is super nice! I ended up making a small spill and they were very helpful and kind about it. The honey boba here is delicious! Definitely get it, there's a rich sweet flavor permeating through it and it is amazingly soft, chewy and pleasant. Overall an amazing taste! I had the cheese foam with black tea and with jasmine tea. The jasmine tea was delicious and was the recommended one, but I personally liked the black tea more. The black tea complimented the cheese foam a lot better and was not as sweet as the green tea which made it fit the drink perfectly. The whole place is super cute, with lots of cat decor and it just has an overall cozy and warm feel. Recommended and I would love to come back!

It was good. But the wait was quite lengthy. So expect to relax a bit for your drinks.

I ordered the Matcha Einspanner and their House Coffee (a Vietnamese coffee), and both drinks were excellent. The matcha was a little on the sweet side, but it was incredibly smooth and delicious. The House Coffee was just as good it was rich, flavorful, and something I'd happily order again. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. The line to order moved quite slowly, but the speed of service after placing your order was quick. Since the menu lists the phoenix oolong MT drink as made with dairy free milk, I asked the cashier if this meant it would be using oat milk, which is what most of the other drinks are made with. The response I received was that it uses "non-dairy milk." I didn't think this was very informative and wish there could've been some better clarification. For the cafe itself, it was VERY HOT inside. Having no AC in this weather for a popular boba shop is quite sad and stingy. The workers were all glistening with sweat. I did visit the restroom, which was even hotter than the rest of the store.

Some are definitely worth trying, while others are just okay. Mango Mellow: Pretty good! I think this is one of their better drinks. It was refreshing and had a nice balance of sweetness without being too sweet or too sour. It had a nice combination of flavors. Strawberry Yuzu: Somehow it was super sour and sweet at the same time. Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea: Pretty simple, but it was made well. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet and the flavors felt balanced. Service: Pretty efficient, sweet, and helpful!
