I absolutely cannot believe the low ratings. This is classic Ft. Worth Mexican Inn fare! The stuff I grew up with before there was a Mexican restaurant on every corner. We tried this new location for the first time tonight and I am very happy we did. The signature homemade chips (don't even dare compare these to Fritos!), salsa (had a mild spiciness) and tortillas are fantastic (as always). Yes, they have a limited menu like the original restaurants, but they do have a Create-A-Combo. I ordered my usual crispy beef taco, cheese enchilada and beef enchilada. Everything was well-seasoned and tasted great. Alex, our server, was the absolute best. I dropped my napkin, he was right there with a new one. When the pen fell out of the check folder, he was right there with a replacement. Talk about Johnny on-the-spot! He also offered teas to go. I am so happy to have a Mexican Inn close to home! I really don't understand all of the low ratings either. Anyone who has grown up in Fort Worth and who has been to Mexican Inn knows what to expect (chips, salsa, limited menu) and loves it. That is why they have such a huge following and loyal customer base. I have been to the new Keller location several times and each time have had to wait. No big deal. There are obviously more people that are fans of Mexican Inn and their "thick frito-like" chips, than aren't. I have had excellent service each time and my food has been great. I have ordered the brisket tacos and the arroz con pollo and both were perfect. I seriously don't know what some people expect. If you get poor service and want to come on here and complain then that is one thing, but to complain because the chips don't suit your taste, I think is ridiculous. I love Mexican Inn and I hope that all of these negative comments don't detour future customers from giving it a shot. Mexican Inn has been around for 75 years for a reason! read more

Nice atmosphere and good service. Food not so good. Brisket burrito was mostly cheese and the tortilla was cold.

We have visited this restaurant several times and have always been satisfied until now. We always order To-Go so we can't always check the order before getting home. There were no chips/salsa, my son was informed they were out with no offer of discount or substitute. Taco ordered and was left out. No guacamole with combo fajitas or Tiffan Hall order. Don't know what the problem is, bad help or just going down hill but we do not plan to return. read more

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. My family goes here all the time. The food is great, the portions are handsome, the prices are very reasonable, the beer is ice cold, and the wait staff will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. We have made every possible change to menu items and even created things that were not on the menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

I was told about this place and I decided to give it a try. A friend and I met at the bar. The server seemed very agitated from the start, there weren't many people when we got there but she seemed to be juggling a lot. From her attitude she couldn't even give a smile. When we asked for silverware she didn't place them by us or hand it over she flung them on the table. Now this continues and we could hear from the tone of her voice she was frustrated with the other wait staff. She was not having a good day. My complaint is, she treated us with frustration even when she spoke. The food, well the food wasn't worth what we experienced with the waitress. I give it a 2 star because it wasn't the worst food I have ever had. It was the first visit, I do believe in giving it a second chance but if we get the same waitress with the very long eyelashes and she is less then friendly well we will have to forget about this place. read more

The greeter was the rudest I have EVER encountered. She was incensed when she tried to seat us at a table back by the kitchen entry and we ask to be seated at a booth. She almost stomped her foot??? (The restaurant was not busy...2:30 pm). The music was so loud one could not hear the waiter. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. read more

Gross and super dirty behind the bar. Service was good at the bar but open containers of margaritas and an empty tequila bottle and other trash just laying around. Food was horrible and we both had upset stomachs. Nothing like the Fort Worth locations. read more

YUCK! The chips and sauce (not salsa) were awful. Had we have known it was going to take 40 minutes to get our food, someone could have run down to Bueno and picked us up some better chips and salsa. We didn't see the waiter during the 40 minutes of waiting either, so they were not trying to push the drinks with a long wait. When the food finely came, it too was bland and not very good. It reminded me of those frozen Patio Mexican Dinners I used to eat as a kid. Someone said Mexican Inn used to be really good when they were downtown Ft. Worth. Service was not good. Not sure if too busy but it took so long just to take our orders. The chips basically seem like Fritos, blah.. The salsa taste like straight up tomato sauce. This is no where near close to authentic but even for Tex mex it was no bueno. read more

HORRIBLE!!! today around 2pm the staff was playing around. One girl was helping in the tortilla making area and she was scratching her head, playing with her long blonde hair, and touching the dough. Than she had the nerve to leave that area and go to the back and opened the chip bin and began to eat. Never once did she wash her hands. She than helped clean off a table and went to helping with the tortillas again. I had to stop eating and leave. At one time there were 5 employees in the tortilla area playing. There were only people at 6 tables so the staff had plenty of free time to sweep the floor, clean off tables, refill drinks, etc...but No they just played. read more

Went for my wife's birthday...sat in the waiting area for 40 minutes because they could not figure out how to sit 8 people together....apparently they have never seen a table that could slide....Mexican Inn is a good restaurant as a whole but I will never go to the Keller location again. read more

We really do enjoy the food, but take out takes way too long. They are very disorganized, we've ordered several times and it usually takes about 3 times longer than their estimate that they give you on the phone. If they tell you 10 to 15 minutes, expect to sit in the restaurant for about 25 minutes waiting on your food if you arrive on time. And don't expect an apology they're oblivious to the fact that they've made you wait. We keep going back just because the food is better than most around here! read more
