Queso came out nice and cold, so off to a great start. Then the food arrived, in a timely manner, but 2 out of the 3 entrees ordered were incorrect. I sent mine back, and no more than 10 seconds later she returned to the table with the exact same dish but now had lettuce and tomatoes thrown on top of it. On top of the wrong dish. *ahem* I said screw it, took my first bite, and it was very cold. Not lukewarm, not "not quite hot"-- it tasted like it just came out of sitting in a fridge for a couple of hours. Completely awful, nearly inedible, lucky for them I was starving so I ate it, but you know in movies when people are captured and their abductors give them a sloppy plate of nasty looking food in some basement, but that's all they get so they desperately have to eat it? Yeah... The second dish, a burrito (incorrect one), was also cold. She ate it anyway because at this point what the hell. I hate to write bad reviews. I really do. But this experience was probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We stopped in here for dinner while on vacation. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. I tried to use the check in offer from Yelp and the waitress said no just the chips and salsa is free. She didn't offer to speak to a manager or ask someone else. She struggled with communicating, she shared so spoke very little English. Well this made it really difficult to order and communicate our needs. We asked about the live music that they promoted on sign outside and she said she didn't understand and her manager wasn't there. The food was very very overpriced for the size of the entrees and the tasty was very bland. The salsa that most Mexican restaurants have had a limit which was such a turn off. The food, facility, and service were all subpar. I understand why people wait an hour or more to walk across the parking lot to eat at a different Mexican restaurant. Just don't, the limited cars in line and run down interior should be the sign for you. We are just hoping we all don't come down with food poisoning. read more

A hole in a while compared to other Mexican options in the area, but don't let that take you away from this place. The food is great, isn't touristy, and has much more flavor compared to other nearby attractions. The margaritas and mangonadas were also excellent. I got the molecajete (so much food), which was very good. I'll definitely visit each time I'm in Orange Beach. Due to Covid restrictions, there were only two servers at the time. They were serving and bar tending at the same time, so I commend them on their hard work. Don't let the other reviews fool you! Come try this place for yourself and skip the tourist traps! read more

This place deserves 4 star because it's better than any other mexican place in the local area. I'm not saying it's the best I've ever had, but don't waste your time going anywhere else. This place is more authentic than all the other gimmicky places around if you're craving tacos. I sampled all the tacos they had. They were all good, the carne asada which most Americans probably order were my least favorite, the meat was just a little dry and lacked a little seasoning but nothing a little lime and tomatillo can't handle. My favorite was the campechano taco which typically has braised flank steak, chorizo, and chicharrones all mixed together in a taco, totally my new favorite taco. All my tacos were their "mexican style" so served with lime onions and cilantro on top on a fried corn tortilla. Ps they also had a daily special for lengua tacos that were not on the menu. It was pretty good however mine seemed to come out a little too charred, I'm not sure if that was their style or just the cook at the time. But it was still good non the less. read more

With a baby, we usually go to Mexican places because the service is usually fast but not here. Might have something to do with the one waitress they have running the whole place while everyone else is just standing around. The eggs were rubbery, the rice was tasteless, the beans were good, the tortillas were greasy and the chip salsa was bland and watery with no chunks of anything. Ordered a vegetable burrito. Requested the cheese sauce on the side, the burrito was covered in cheese. The waitress did not offer to correct it. When one of my guest requested more salsa the waitress replied, wait until you finish that salsa. She never came back to check if more was needed. We went mid week in the afternoon and there was NOBODY there. I wasn't sure why there were no customers. Well. We ordered our food and I got the chicken tortilla soup. It was cold and tasted like yesterdays food. I had to ask them to heat it up. The other thing is that for Mexican food, this soup had no flavor. Worst Mexican I've had. I should have known when I walked into the door and the place was empty. First thing I noticed they charge extra for the second bowl of chips and salsa... who does that?! We ordered a pitcher of their house margaritas... not something I'd recommend. Next we ordered our entree and the waitress came back twice to ask us questions about... I said to my gf "if she comes back we are out of here." Not 2 minut3s later she showed up with an order that wasn't even ours and in a empty restaurant. There was one other couple who came in a few minutes after us. I called it quits and asked for the bill. I wish anyone who ventures inside of there agian better luck and service than we had. This place is absolutely amazing. It's a nice chill spot to hangout with your friends and eat good authentic mexican food. I am vegan and can't eat at a lot of mexican restaurants because of the lard in their beans, but these were lard free and made my somewhat complicated order with no mess ups! They were also very patient and attentive and even let me sing karaoke when they were just playing music. 10/10. It felt like home. read more

My wife and I walked over from our hotel across the parking lot. We got there at 9:00 pm on a Sat night. Their sign said they were open until 11:00, but they already had the doors locked. We stood outside for a minute trying to figure out where we were going to go instead, then a lady opened the door to let us in. We said we didn't want to keep them if they we're closing, but she insisted. We should've left, but we went in. The food was marginal at best. The service was the same. After six straight days of eating shrimp, I needed a change of pace. I chose Mexico Lindo for my non-seafood adventure. Even though I ordered a dish that contained shrimp, I probably should have stuck to what the beach does best, and that's not Mexican. I started with the standard chips and salsa. The chips were thickly cut, fried in house and a tad greasy. The salsa was average but probably homemade. I selected a more expensive entree, the Brochette, two 12" skewers filled with pieces of beef, chicken, shrimp, peppers and onions. The beef was a cheap cut, too chewy, and the entire skewer was overcooked, dry and dusted with a spice mixture that masked the flavor of the food. It came with rice and the absolute worst charro beans I've ever encountered. The grease on top created the second biggest oil slick to hit the beach, BP taking the top honor. With some trepidation I tried a bite. Yuck! I swear the little pieces of meat in the beans were cut up hot dog. The beans remained untouched. I've been spoiled by the competitiveness of big city dining, because Mexico Lindo wouldn't stand a chance in a more crowded market. The best part of my meal was the $1.75 mug of draft beer. read more
