This place is not authentic Mexican, I was looking for a "hole in the wall" type place and found just a Hole. Salsa was nasty, tasted like tomato sauce. Cheese dip was watery and cold. Ground meat should not be used on Mexican dishes, next time I'll just go to Taco Bell if I want to eat that. After many trips to gulf shores decided to try Mexico Linda. The service was not great and the food took forever. When the food came ,it was cold. The taco was very greasy. Came here for a bachelorette dinner of 16 women. They did take reservations and accommodated is. The margaritas tasted like there was no alcohol in it. The one waitress that took our drink orders was the bartender and the other waitress that took our food barely spoke English and we had to remind her multiple times for our food. Once our bill came, the waitress that barely spoke English had to calculate the checks one by one because we had multiple tickets. The food was great authentic Mexican food, but the service was very poor. Very upsetting. read more

If there was a minus 1 I would give it. First problem, an 8 year old young lady was my hostess! No kidding, lovely but this isn't Guatemala! When she asked me what I wanted to drink I was speechless! Cerveza but not served by a child. She was the only waitress until her mom came after I asked for an adult. The food was marginal bad. I had steak that was 2/3 fat and gristle. When I showed the waitress she shrugged and said the waste was normal. The $1.50 beer I was charged $2.95 and the $12.95 dinner was $13.95 because they decided to raise prices but not put it in the menu. I am a local that has lived here 30 + years. Another good restaurant ripping off the old people, drunks, and vacationers that don't pay attention. They get away with it because there are not enough restaurants and prices are high. If you vacation at the beach buy your food at the grocery store and same with beer and liquor, Orange Beach is a rip off for the naive. This place I used to send people, not anymore! Runny cheese dip. Food ok but not good enough to deal with a waitress who speaks few English words and seemed to understand none. Chopped onions for tacos were served sautéed. My husband and I decided to visit ML to get a take-out dinner based upon a recommendation from friends. So glad we did. The food was first rate and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We ordered enchiladas verdes, which were delicious, with ample amounts of white meat chicken, cooked perfectly, and flavorful rice and beans. The portions (4 enchiladas) were healthy, accompanied by chips and salsa. Great value. As we were leaving, we saw the waiter carrying a tray of mojarra frita, a fish dish which smelled amazing. Came here based off a recommendation from a friend. Atmosphere is the classic mom and pop Mexican food restaurant. On a Friday night at 8, we came in and were immediately seated. The menu has pronunciations for the food including such tough words to say like taco and tortilla. No pronunciation help for chimichanga or quesadilla or jalapeño though. Ordered the queso as an appetizer. It's a little on the spicy side but good. Chips are gold and crispy. They are a little crispier than I prefer but still good. Ordered the beef fajita quesadilla and beef burrito side. Both were pretty good. Not fantastic. I'm Texan and blessed with lots of good Mexican food restaurants so my standards are pretty high. Everybody in my party liked what they ordered except for my wife who ordered 57 which were the tacos al carbon. They were covered in green sauce that was pretty spicy. Service was really good. Very friendly waitress. Prices were good as well. Overall the food here was not anywhere close to the good Mexican food I'm used to getting back home in Texas. For that reason, we won't be back. read more

Decided to give this restaurant a try since it was the closest Mexican to our hotel. I ordered #100, the shrimp with rice and mixed vegetables. The shrimp was the absolute worst i have ever had, way too lemony. Our waitress was very understanding and took it off my bill and let me order something else off the menu. You should always be skeptical of Mexican food at the beach, so my expectations weren't terribly high. I was pleasantly surprised with a pretty good experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is not great; there was no music, it was sparsely decorated, and it was dark. The food was decent. I ordered the Mexican dinner, so I had a good variety. The beef tacos were fresh and reasonably tasty. The chips and queso dip were average, and the refried beans left something to be desired. The service was below par; despite the place being small, it often seemed that the servers were always far away. You should visit Mexico Lindo only if you just HAVE to have Mexican food. Tried without success to eat here. Walked in and there were only two tables of people eating and one lady waiting at the counter for a to go order. Waited over 5 minutes without ever being acknowledged. Only 2 servers appeared to be working but not like they were busy as only two tables were seated, one was begging for their ticket so I turned around and left after about a total of 8 minutes standing there. My family went here for a quick dinner and it was a nice surprise. The menu had many, many options as well as a kids menu. Our waiter was very polite, even when I ordered for my family in my limited Spanish. You get complimentary chips and salsa, and the actual dinner itself was good and reasonably sized. My parents ordered drinks which were much larger than either of them expected, so to my dad, at least, that was a plus. If I could give a negative 3 stars I would!!!! Absolutely horrendous! We are locals who live in Gulf Shores, my husband and I went here for lunch. First: I ordered off the lunch menu. My menu was different from my husbands. The waitress returned to our table 2 times confused about what I had ordered. 3 tacos, rice and beans. My husband ordered the chicken fajitas. When our food finally arrived there was a puddle of bright orange grease that my tacos sat on. The rice was extremely greasy/oily, disgusting. My husbands sizzling skillet of chicken fajitas came with a side plate of the toppings. They didn't bring tortillas. We asked for tortillas which never arrived. I was finished with my sub par tacos and my husband sat there waiting for his tortillas to eat his meal that never came. As we waited 2 other tables got up and walked out. At the table behind us, they had been there maybe 12 minutes when the waitress finally showed up to take their order, they hadn't been given menus. Second: we never saw our waitress again. Never even received our check. Worst experience EVER! read more

My friends and I had ants frozen into our ice and the waiter could not have cared less about it when we brought it up to him. After about 30 minutes of waiting to have our order taken, my group left and I got up and paid $13 for a bowl full of margarita mix that was full of ants.
