Went there last wk & ordered carnitas plate to go. Place was empty. Got home & it looked like yesterday's or day before refried carnitas. Hard, crispy burnt edges, not soft at all. I ordered their carne asada burrito enchilada style and a side of chile relleno through postmates. I was very happy with their foil packaging as it kept both items warm for when I received them. The burrito was full of meat and their red enchilada sauce was flavorful. The burrito did not get soggy and my only gripe is that I wish there was a little more cheese melted on top. The chile relleno was good. The batter stuck to the chile well and was not mushy. The oaxaca cheese inside was perfectly melted and I only tasted 1 pepper seed in the whole pepper. I so wanted to give this place more stars. I've eaten here in the past and the food is really good. However, take out is a whole different story unfortunately. I went it to order a soup then decided to order a side of rice and a side of beans. When I got home, I couldn't believe the serving size they gave me as a side order. I was so disappointed. As I served it I counted literally 4 tablespoons of beans and 5 tablespoons of rice!!! Are you kidding me? I know costs have risen but they probably spent more on the containers they packed this in then the actual crumbs I was given for $10!!!!! Come on Mexico Lindo, you could do better. If the owner sees this, I really hope he/she is able to encourage his cooks/servers to be realistic with their serving portions. I've known this place since 1995. I have not been there since 1995 until about two weeks ago. In the '90s I worked for the Gas Company in IT and our team would go to different Gas Company locations throughout So. Cal and one day we were in Pomona and we stopped to eat here. I forgot how it compares to today as it was a long time ago, but I recall I liked it.. Well, now I work in the medical field and work at a hospital about 2 and a half or so miles from Mexico Lindo. I work nowhere near here but one day a few years ago I found myself on Garey by Mexico Lindo and saw it and thought I should eat there again. Well, finally I made it over. I really liked it. The food is very good and the prices are very good. I like Chili Colorado and Chile Verde. I got the Verde about two weeks ago and tonight I got the Colorado. I got the Burrito form, not the plate. It was very good. The place is run by a mother daughter team. I think they are mother and daughter as they resemble each other. Both are very friendly and very nice people. One day I'll eat at the restaurant and take a bit longer lunch but for now I just get my orders to go. In the back there is a cook but up front mommy and daughter run the show. I suggest you try it out. You won't be disappointed by the food, prices and by the mommy and daughter who run the restaurant. The service is great and they are such nice people. Oh I forgot to mention that the chips are outstanding. Fresh and crispy. I think they make them there, they seem homemade. I'll go again to eat there sometime but I am not always working as I am per diem so I only work when the hospital needs me. I don't live anywhere near here so I go when I am at work. read more

I really enjoyed the Caldo De Camaron . I tend to be very picky especially when it comes to restaurants either not removing the shell off the shrimp or lack of vegetables. You can imagine how pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to remove the shell myself AND it had tons of carrot, potatoes and chayote. Albondiga soup was mostly potatoes. Chorizo burrito was edible, but not great. Mostly beans andgiant chunks of onions. I prefer the red Chorizo mixed well with lots of eggs. Anyhow, we were seated immediately and there were only a few other parties there. The lighting was poor, but the decor had an authentic feel to it. The wet burrito is awesome and smothered with sauce and cheese like you would find on some bomb enchiladas. This place was delicious! I had the red enchiladas de pollo, my girlfriend had the green enchiladas de pollo. They were excellent. Unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants, they seasoned the chicken and you can actually taste the seasoning. Really made their food stand out. We also really enjoyed the salsa that they gave us too. The salsa other restaurants give out are either spicy but not good or good but not spicy. This was spicy and good. The food here was great and the service was awesome too. Very friendly people here.
