I called this location during the week for a rental of a box truck for a Friday pick up. The friendly lady on the phone wanted to know approximately what time I was picking up the truck. Come the day of, she called me to get an eta. I arrived shortly thereafter and was not surprised by what I would consider standard protocol when renting a car van truck or anything else you can rent that you can drive down the street at 88 miles an hour that consists of flammable gas, metal, glass and others things that could be considered dangerous. A drivers license and credit card is what I was asked to provide and what I was surprised with happened when I was witness to the lack of a secure system to hold my credit card information. With what I was told happened to the lack luster secure credit card no encryption way of storing my credit card information didn't make it any better. I couldn't walk out, I needed the truck. Thankfully nothing happened to my credit card information but I hope they start using technology to store my credit card information. It's a box truck full of my stuff that I and a few friends labored in filling like a losing game of Tetris the screen/truck was full, I couldn't fit anymore. Unlike my stomach however there was room for food. The truck rental came with a lock, which stopping for food I wanted to lock the back of the 16 foot box truck that contained priceless memories. Why isn't this lock working? Ugggh, as I struggled to lock this lock in the cold rain and wind I was fearful that I would be having lunch with a truck full of my priceless treasures that was unlocked I would return from lunch to find a ransacked truck. That reality was becoming more and more realistic as the lock, had sprung. It was only worth the cost of scrap, maybe 3 cents? How could I enjoy a meal this way? As I scarffed down my lunch I couldn't help to think that didn't the folks at the U-Haul know that the lock was broken? Didn't they check it, it's just an important little minor detail. Upon returning to the truck I had nothing to worry about, I checked and no one had been in the back of the truck. It turned out just fine, my priceless irreplaceable treasures were safe. Would I use that U-Haul location again? Not if it required my credit card information to be stored in as unsecured means as the back of that truck with the broken lock was.

The lady who works the UHaul rentals was late to my appointment by 10 minutes, took 20 minutes to talk to me about her life problems, and then took another 20 to get the trailer out. Also, the office was a dump with automotive tools and cans all over the place. There are better places to get a trailer, not here.

My 1st visit was really good as Maria showed me around and explained how the units worked. Upon hearing that I would need my storage unit for a couple more weeks Maria extended my reservation to keep my rate and that really helped. On move in day I was given a phone call the day before, to check to make sure what time I was going to arrive. I was able to reschedule my time when I realised that the time slot didn't work any longer. The office staff were very flexible with helping me out. I was able to complete the whole moving process in less than 30 minutes. Overall I am happy with my unit I end up getting a 10 by 7 and a 1/2. I do like the ease of unloading my S UV into their docking station. I appreciate the climate control as it can get really hot during the summer and I was worried about my electronics. This was the true reason I picked this location even though about $50 more per month than the location about 2 miles away. All in all super excited about the fringe benefits of this location, To include utilization of a moving truck. The nice thing is that they allow you to use the moving truck up to 2 weeks from your moving date. This alone is going to save me a $150.

Which is evident by the way you've responded to other negative reviews. I am openly gay and clearly you're a homophobe. Thank you for letting the world know via your response. I'm sorry if me being gay made Frank and his coworker feel uncomfortable. They probably should have said so immediately and not have taken so much time to complete the job or offer to help move boxes around when they noticed there was still some time left. They both also lingered after to converse with me, both of them shook my hand and asked me to keep them in mind for future moves. Clearly, no one was flirting with anyone and no one felt uncomfortable. Joe, you just don't know how to act professionally. Update: After a rude message from their manager, Joe, implying the damage to the stuff they moved was possibly my fault, I have to lower their star rating. It's not as if I was requesting compensation for the damage, I just wanted to leave an honest review and still he felt the need to act combatively. When the first moving company I hired failed to confirm their services 48 hours before the move date I was forced to call around to find another company who could do the job on short notice. Well Move You 4 Less stepped up and they even showed up 30 minutes early. Which I appreciated because I wasn't forced to wait around. However, I can't honestly say that all of my belongings made it to my new place in one piece. Some items were damaged and because of that I cannot, in good conscience, leave them 5 stars. They were professional and worked quickly.

He did not want to come to my house to write the estimate, instead he viewed it online. He grossly under estimated the amount of time to move, the number of movers and number of trucks. I contacted him right away when I noticed there was an issue. Good customer service would have contacted me!! After the move he sent me an adjusted invoice for more than double the original. I truly feel Midwest movers do this on purpose as a bait and switch. They broke a TV and lost the key to my treadmill. I offered to pay more than the original quote, but up to what my other estimates were. It was a big job. However Jason would not take any responsibility for his error, and would not accept the comparable quote. DO NOT use Midwest movers.

Upon the removal of my furniture everything seemed to go great. The crew was friendly and handled everything with great care. Before returning I emailed the person who set up the move, Dave Mills requesting the same crew that handled the furniture the first time around ( an email that he also included employees Marc Mendoza and Micheal Tae on ). Needless to say when the furniture arrived it was not the same crew. You wouldn't think it was a problem but while the first crew was friendly and voiced no concerns at all the second crew spent the majority of the time either complaining about how the first crew packed everything and if certain items ( like our treadmill) needed to be taken apart to get through the doorway. After moving back in we noticed a few items were either broken or damaged. I emailed Dave Mills to let him know and he forwarded my email to Dan Bensfield and this is where the problems really started. I understand things get damaged during a move, which is why you hire professional movers with insurance and experience. My original email with Dave and Dan was on 4-18. On 4-25 I emailed saying I would find the original receipts and on 4-29 I sent another email asking if he ( Dan ) would like the receipts submitted together or separate. On 5-21 I sent 3 emails to Dan with all of the pictures he had requested and copies of original receipts dating back to 2018. On 6-8 I emailed Dan for a follow-up to see where everything was at. No response. On 6-17 I emailed Dan again. No response. In fact, the last email I have received from anyone from Midwest was on 4-29-25. I don't know if he is trying to push me off hoping I will forget about it or maybe he didn't expect me to be able to produce receipts dating back to 2018. Either way, this issue is still not resolved.
