First off, let me tell you that I am a connoisseur of burgers... But the folks at MG's? They absolutely have the best burger I've ever had hands down. I got the "Pontiac" burger. Wasn't expecting much from a burger place in a residential district in the middle of nowhere. Holy cow. It was heaven between two freshly made buns. Absolutely incredible. 10/10 would get again. The burger needs to be made into a meme. It's that good. I also got a side of onion rings. These aren't your standard frozen onion rings. They were fresh made, hand battered and fried. HOLY MOLY. And their sweet tea was incredible as well. We came in with a group of about 25 and they easily accommodated us, joked with us the entire time, and handled the group incredibly. PLUS this place has a drive thru. Seriously, if you have not been here, come check it out! It's worth the drive! read more

It was a good place. We had the pickle chips, kids burger, kids chicken, studebaker, and hot rod ford burger. The fries are good if you like steak fries and they onion rings are cut thin (which I like). The kids burger was larger than a normal kids burger and was good, kids chicken had good sized strips. The burgers were good, but meat was just a little dry. Would return for another try if driving through town. read more

Took the family here and we each tried out different burgers.. their country fried steak sandwich was extremely tender, the hot rod ford was delicious, the patty melt was superb, and the Chevy was incredible. We eat here twice a month. It is. A little expensive for the 4 of us but always good, until Friday. What happened? Our. Pickles were doughy and cold our zucchini was half battered and gross.granddaughter got a child's cheeseburger meal and it was supposed to be mayo and ketchup only but was loaded with onions mustard it went out the window. Our cheeseburgers were slapped together sliding everywhere and the meat was the size of a kids burger. Very sad we have sent numerous people there to eat and now it is worst than a fast food joint. Best burgers in town, I've been eating here since I was a little girl and it has never let me down. The limo and Cadillac are my favorites! Fully customizable menu with favorites for the whole family to enjoy. If you're just passing through or a long time resident I highly recommend stopping in even if it's just for a milk shake! The I would recommend a large fry and a milk shake and you'll be on your way to heaven! Such great staff and clean restaurant make for a great place to eat. Great Burgers but .... Got the Cadillac Burger with fries and pineapple upside down cake. The cake was a very dry cake that crumbled and wouldn't hold together to eat. The French fries are homemade but that's not an excuse to seRve the greasiest most under cooked, soggy fries that someone served with pride. I usually love homemade fries but they must have at least half of them cooked enough to be crispy. Sorry MG's, this was probably my last visit. read more

First time coming here! I am just leaving now and I've got to say the service is TOP NOTCH. The food was amazing, and the interior is superb. The two ladies that helped us were just amazing. The woman running the counter offered so much information about her favorite menu items! She likes spicy food and so do I do I ordered the Hot Rod Ford. Awesome. Then! If it couldn't get better, my boyfriend and I mentioned that we were interested in trying the onion rings instead of the fries (we had already placed our order), she said she'd sub those out for us... only for our food to come out one minute later with fries. She walked back to us with a FULL basket of onion rings and she swore by dipping them in honey mustard sauce which she brought with her. No. Extra. Charge. Would give 10 stars if I could. Great burgers, great sides (fries, rings and tots) and AYCE burgers and sides on Saturday for around $8 (they do AYCE CFS or ground steak on Sunday). If they were closer to home, there would be a sign with a circle around my face and a line through it LOL! Let me preface my review by disclosing that burgers are my favorite food group. We decided on MG's after checking it out on Yelp. The Hot Rod Ford burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had! My boyfriend had the grilled chicken salad (I know, I know-WHY??) and he said it was decent for a burger joint salad. You gotta try the Nuts and Bolts- we ordered it not having a clue what it was-and we weren't sorry at all! It, too, was delicious. The fries are good-not spectacular, but that may be because I was mesmerized by every other bit of deliciousness in front of me. The Hot Rod Ford burger with its spicy BBQ sauce and awesome grilled jalapeños is spot on. It is on a fresh baked bun that is rich, light, and tasty. The place is decorated for 50s nostalgia. Not my thing. But who cares. The food very solid, it is local and good. The staff was about as nice as could be and the place is clean. It looks a bit rough from the outside. Inside, it is just fine. We trusted the Yelp reviewers as we were passing through Sherman, and we were not disappointed! The retro gas station setup was fun, with outdoor dining available in front by the classic gas pumps and three different sections inside, each with their own vibe. The restrooms where well-lit and clean. I had the chef salad with honey mustard dressing, and it was the perfect size for lunch, complete with plenty of real bacon on top and a warm roll. My husband hand a burger, which was a generous hand-made patty on a toasted bun, quite tasty. We both had some of his fries, and they were very good, definitely several cuts above the norm. Ordering is at the counter when entering, but you won't have to get up again - wait staff stopped by our table four times during our brief lunch to check on us.
