Pretty juicy grilled chicken sandwich! Super friendly staff... we also ordered the tater tots which were amazing! 10/10 recommend Cute decor inside as well.

The buns are fresh made. Beef is very good grade with great flavor. We had eaten here when they were still at the old location. Several years ago. Everything was cooked to order. The chicken fried steak was a generic frozen steak, that was a downer, good but not what was expected. Tots were cooked so crispy outside, soft inside. Decor was great. It's in a converted garage with all the car memorabilia anyone could want. Clean and temperature was just right, even with the door open. Wait staff were friendly and quick.

First stop on our road trip and we loved this place ! Super cute retro vibe burger joint with plenty of sitting. Burger was good with all the traditional toppings. Onion rings crispy , zucchini fries were excellent. Fresh made fries. The patty was a little generic , but overall the burger was tasty. Bun held up really well. Service was fantastic. These lovely ladies check on you constantly , real southern hospitality !

Very unique place with great decor! I wasn't expecting the collection of great artifacts that they have! The food had generous portions that could be shared, the onion rings were fresh, not frozen. Independent burger joint with a serious automobile theme working. Nice folks, good service and excellent quality food. My son had the Hot Rod Ford and it was seriously good if you like hickory and hot and spicy. I had the Cadillac (Thousand Island) burger and while good, I was wishing I had been more adventurous. Small town burger joint that is to die for! Seriously, one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Well known in the area. Get the onion rings! You will not be disappointed. Decor and menu is the context of old cars... Burger is a Ford, Chevy, Buick, etc! Not in the menu is a 57 Chevy (which has Heinz 57 sauce on it!) Def. should be on diners, dives, and drive-ins! When you drive by MG's you will notice the outdoor patio with vintage gas pumps. We knew we had to stop after seeing the antiques and picnic tables. It was a great stop on the way home. When you walk through the doors you can smell the burgers cooking. The staff member taking orders was extremely friendly and helped us navigate through the different menu options. I ate a cheese burger and there signature French fries. The ketchup is made in house and all of the staff at MG's is helpful and kind. If you want a good burger just like at pops house this is the place. By the end of our trip the staff members felt like family. read more

Super friendly place...first time here and I was treated like an everyday customer...Annitra, thank you for telling us the history of this place...also she was spot on with the recommendation of the Hot Rod Ford (buns are homemade)...onions rings were perfect...my daughter had the Chevy burger and fries...she commented about the flavor in every bite...unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert, but Annitra told us about the bakery on the corner...bought a loaf of fresh bread and chocolate chip cookies‍ Thanks again for the hospitality...God Bless y'all read more

MG's has a very fun vibe and the service is fantastic but the burger was a bit disappointing. The place is designed like an old auto mechanic garage and there are car memorabilia and 50s flair throughout. It's a neat place, for sure. The place was packed at lunch time on Saturday and was quite noisy but it was still comfortable. You walk in an order up front at the counter and they give you a number for your order. Seat yourself and they deliver the food to your table and visit the table often to see if you need refills or anything. The menu consists of the typical burger options, sides, salads, and I noticed someone with chicken fried steak. The salads were good but the larger salad with chicken was a bit expensive for what is included. The star of the show were the fries - they are fresh cut and have a perfect amount of seasoning. The fries were enough to share between two people. The burger was a bit disappointing. The burger patty was described as 8oz but it seemed much smaller. I'm not sure if the beef is fresh or frozen but it was overcooked and a bit on the bland side. Overall, MG's is a fun place and worth a visit but consider some of menu options besides the regular burger. read more

Love their hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, fried zucchini. Oh yes, I like the chicken fried steak. The dessert is good. Made next door at Mom's bakery! Have never been disappointed. The service is great. The staff keep your drinks filled. I've eaten there for almost 30 yrs. Go and try it. Closed on Sundays. Saturdays can get busy but the line goes fast. Enjoy!!! read more

It is a bar scene. My family and I went on a Sunday. Several of the appetizers were not available. We were disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for our food and no one came to update us on the wait. They delivered the food with no apology and just blamed it on the kitchen. The grilled cheese was disappointing and I couldn't finish it. The fries tasted old. We will definitely not be coming back.

By the mobile order stand, there is a lake of water. Not sure if it was spilled or coming from the freezer. 6. The tea tasted rancid. 7. The door on the south side is broken arm or something because it kept slamming hard. 8. Hot dogs didn't taste right like they weren't the normal wieners. And they were overcooked. 9. The fries were ice cold and underdone. By far the worst visit out of many here. Not sure why. We've had great experiences in the past. I'll be happy to delete this when I see service improve because I am happy there is a Freddy's here, but at this pace, you will be out of business soon.

In the US, calling yourself a Nepali restaurant means taking a standard North Indian menu and adding momo and some Chinese dishes. In Nepal, they eat a lot more than momo. Mountainous regions in poor countries often use forms of protein that Americans don't particularly care for. (Fill in the blanks yourself on this one.) Doing that in the U.S. would be commercial suicide. At one time, Mount Everest had goat intestine on the menu. Goat intestine is relatively un-shocking given other items that Nepalis hunt or butcher and eat. The goat intestines did not sell well and had to be removed from the menu. So mostly what you get here is a plain old North Indian restaurant. Fortunately, Mount Everest is a very good plain old North Indian restaurant. * * * The headline story here is spice. A. Lots of it. B. Not your standard Anglo-Indian curry house spice mixes. I ordered my eggplant with a heat of 4. A heat of 5 is their !!NUCLEAR!! option. 4 is their "Commands Respect- Listen to Me Baby" level. Mount Everest's 4 is most other Indians restaurants 38. Steam came out of ears. Steam came out of eyes. I was amazed my metal container was able to hold that dish. I set a Grayson County speed record for most Naan consumed in the shortest amount of time ... As vast amounts of naan were stuffed into my flaming mouth to lower the temperature. * * * I LOVED IT. I WOULD DO THAT AGAIN IN A NEW YORK MINUTE. * * * If molten lava isn't your thing Ordering your food with a heat of 0 or 1 Will give you a nice lovely very mild dish. Mount Everest caters to all tastes. * * * The spicing here is unusual. This particularly shows up in the salty lassis. I couldn't tell you what the flavor combo was. But it was intriguing and wonderful. That is another dish I would order in a New York minute. * * * Speaking of non-New-York topics, Mount Everest does its best to fit into a Texas-Oklahoma aesthetic. There is a pool table. For all I know, Texoma is full of Indian restaurants with pool tables. But that was the first time, I had ever seen such a thing. They have country-western style decoration, and guitars on the walls to help set a mood. They serve cold beer. I am not used to Texas Ice Houses that also serve Tikka Masala and Aloo Chana. But this is a concept I could definitely learn to like. * * * Overall, this is a first rate establishment. And if you want enough inner fire to be able to climb the Himalayas without wearing a parka, Order any dish with a heat of 5. The snow will melt on either side of you as you pass.

the best chef salad that I've ever had I always get a double bun and double honey mustard and ate it off and on all day it's huge. I was wondering if you deliver because I'm homebound now and I have sure missed your salads. MG's is the best place in Sherman to get a burger, hands down. Well, hands full. The Portions are great, and you can't go wrong with their other options too. My personal favorite item is the chicken fried steak sandwich, which beats out places I have tried which specialize in chicken fried steak. Grab a slice of cake with your meal too, it's always fresh and moist, and the flavors rotate daily. The atmosphere here is great too, lots of vintage and antique car decor. This place has been around forever, and has always served awesome burgers in a cool environment. They just moved into a really neat building across from the old location too, and it's really well designed with a classic car on a lift next to the dining room. The building itself is dressed up like a retro gas station and has classic car paraphernalia throughout. It's also a very clean building, and offers outdoor dining with a nice shaded area. So good. I live in McKinney and still will drive all the way up to Sherman to have a burger. My kids love the shakes and the food. My daughter is crazy about the fried pickles. I love the onion rings! No frozen food here, it's all fresh and tasty. The music is great, and the decor is too. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for burgers :) read more

Some of my first memories in life take place at this establishment they moved to the old gas station two doors down that my father worked at when I was born. What's not to love about MG's? The service is second to none, I love the 1950s decor and atmosphere, and the food is consistently good. Most recently, I had a chicken fried steak sandwich, and it was delicious. All of the burgers are great, too. Some of the most AMAZING Hamburgers in Sherman!!! My favorite is the Cadillac which has BBQ Sauce on it and WOW does it make for a great burger. They have an all you can eat on Saturday's but so far I've only been able to eat 2 at a time lol. If you're in the Sherman Area I would HIGHLY recommend you try MG's out! read more

I have been coming to Sherman for Jan/Feb for 4 years & just discovered MG's this year. One of the best burgers I have ever had. Best onion rings ever as well. The buns are baked fresh daily from the bakery next door. My favorite is the Pontiac burger. Great food & the staff is awesome. read more

Awesome burger joint with a 50's feels. Where else can you go and get a Chevy or Cadillac for under $10? Oh, all their burgers are named after cars. ;-) Be sure and try the fried zucchini as an appitizer, but be careful and don't burn your tongue! read more
