WOW! Do not even look anywhere else (especially P*DS). These guys called back in 10 minutes of my inquiry AND we have a storage unit on the way! Now why this is so great is because another company (P*DS) that we reserved with a week ago, was just here and DID not deliver the unit. The driver couldn't fit his machinery in the driveway! (Nothing in the contract or elsewhere informs you that the machinery is 10 feet wider than the box and they need the space to deliver it.) BUT Mi-Box, as I was on the phone, looked us up on google maps and asked questions to understand how the space would accommodate the machinery and delivery of the unit. Great service and very responsive to our need. We have big boxes (16", 8") in storage for months and they helped us to consolidate and even when we need to take something out. I loved Mi-Box! I kept it on my old property for many months as I slowly filled it up, and had a rug and chairs set up in the entrance where I used it as my she-shed for drinks after a day of packing. Then Mi-Box nicely stored it for me in Poway. My new property in Alpine was very challenging, with tree branches in the way and a narrow, twisty driveway. Branden was the driver, and he was absolutely amazing. He got out to walk the path and talk to me. He backed in very, very slowly, stopped frequently to correct his position, inching along, protecting my valuables inside. My neighbors came to watch! They were fascinated with the way the truck could extend its long arms to place the Box very specifically. Branden got the Box onto my garage pad in about 25 minutes. He had to go thru the same procedure when he picked it up, and I had requested that he be the driver. He was also super nice to me, and he posed for a selfie with me. Thank you Branden!! Can't say enough great things about Mi-Box San Diego. We had a reservation with a competing company and told the night before drop off during a planned large move, that they wouldn't be delivering for another week. No apology. Just that it would be another week. So I cancelled the delivery and called Mi-Box on a Friday morning and miraculously they delivered a box within the hour. The people on the phone were wonderful, the paperwork was super easy using Docusign, and the driver dropped the box off a half hour later. It was amazing. The box was placed on the driveway with quick skill and finesse. This is a great company that I highly recommend! The box itself is well built. The only thing to keep in mind is that the only tie down rings are along the top and bottom edges of the interior. Would be nice to also have center rings or brackets of some king for horizontal tie downs. read more

We have used Mi-Box Storage Services for 3-years, approximately March 2018, through February 2021. Brian, and Richie were always very accommodating during that time. Whenever we requested access to the storage box, they would schedule the box availability around our needs, and time frame. The box unit itself was well maintained by their company, whenever it needed a "tune up", they asked to tighten bolts that came loose, and kept the roll up door in perfect operating condition. These people are very friendly and dangerously predatory. They will screw you if they can. It's their business model. It seems reasonable when you call them but there are hidden costs. First, its a special lock for which they not you have a key. You can't easily get to your things. You don't have a storage space with your own easy access. Prices are unreasonably high and there's a hidden late fee if your late for a payment that is higher than the monthly storage cost. Notice that their positive reviews are about quick response. We had a weird move. We had to be out of one place, but the new house wasn't 100% ready. Mi-Box delivered the box and as things began to solidify with our new place, worked with us to give us the best deal. We signed a month lease, however ended up not needing it so rather than keep us in a month lease, they changed it to something that suited US. Mi-Box helped save the day. We unexpectedly found out that our home had asbestos tiles, which had to be removed before we could complete a flooring project. Suddenly we needed to vacate our home and remove all furnishings. Mi-Box responded quickly and was very easy to deal with. One of major concerns was being able to fit a storage unit and our motorhome in our driveway while maintaining access for workman. We looked at a number of POD-type moving units and picked MiBox because of their pricing and the way they pick-up and move their storage units. Unlike other POD companies, the system on their trucks keeps everything level inside the unit so things don't get damaged. What we didn't expect was the owners incredible responsiveness and focus on customer satisfaction - they flawlessly coordinated a number of drop-offs and pick-ups of their units to accommodate our gradual move over a couple week period.
