I had no expectations because I was already lit and full but I am SO happy that I didn't fuss and came anyway. My poblano pepper is stuffed to perfection with chicken, shrimp, AND steak. I am livid!! I went online and used their order placement service. I was told that my order would be ready in a half hour. As soon as I submitted the order, my credit card was charged. No problem. When I show up 1/2 hour later, I see my order sitting on their table and when I identify myself, the manager says I need to pay for it again! So I contact Chownow, who is their online support partner and they verified that my order was placed and paid for, and then they said they had to call the restaurant to explain how online banking payment works. Well now here it is an hour after I paid for my order, I've got no dinner that has been paid for, and Chownow is still trying to reach the owner to rectify this. The sad part is I go to this restaurant a lot because I like the food and when I tried to explain to them that the order had been paid for, and even showed them the transaction on my phone, they looked at me like I was a thief. I am shaking I'm so mad right now. Don't do any business with them through their mobile ordering system. Update: 3 hours later I find out Chownow is going to process a refund which will take about a week to show up, and they are also giving me $10 in credit to any place in their network. I called in to order a veggie burrito and a steak burrito for myself and another person. I myself can only speak on the veggie burrito. It was very salty and unflavorful. I ate about half of it and of course had some buyers remorse, but after some time I began to feel very ill. After dealing with a headache and stomachache for a short period I puked up what I ate and the vast amount of water I drank to try and feel better. After calling the restaurant to inform them of any possible food safety issues they got going on there I was met with a inconsiderate staff and zero conclusion. We've been ordering fajitas from here for years and never had a problem until today. They're usually super fast and decently priced. However, tonight, I went in to pick up my food and told the front manager I was there to pick up a call in order for fajitas nacho chips and cheese dip. We'll he proceeded to to tell me that I must've called somewhere else. I said no, showed him the number, and said, Oh yeah, it was a double order of fajitas I forgot to mention the double part. He swears I only said nachos, and I said no, I said fajitas, nacho chips, and cheese. He literally tells me several times I only said nachos. What terrible and rude customer service. Also, if you read the other reviews, you see where he's done this to multiple other people, so I know it's just how he is. Why, tell me, do I even grace the door of chain Taco joints, when there are places like Mi Camino Real around?! I kick myself every time I have a great dining experience at a real restaurant for the price of a place with a drive through. For $9, tip included, I had a wonderful meal of three beef tacos, a drink, and chips and salsa. I learned a long time ago to NOT order a full meal at Mexican-American restaurants. It is just too much food. This order, taken from the a la carte menu was just great. The three tacos covered an average size dinner plate. Inside, there was at least twice as much meat as the national chains, and outside lettuce, cheese and other toppings spilled all over the place. After eating the tacos, I was able to make at least a dozen nacho chips by grabbing a chip, putting salsa on it and adding left over cheese and toppings. AND, I brought home a nice sized bag of left-over chips! Quite often, most Mexican-American restaurants have flavor profiles that blend together. At least here, the flavor of the seasonings was different. Service was just about as fast you would get your plastic tray with food wrapped in paper, plastic utensils, and packets of salsa. Someday, I will learn and visit places like this restaurant more often. read more

This restaurant serves up the typcial American style Mexican food - greasy with lots of melted cheese. This is not the place to come if you want something healthy or authentic Mexican cuisine. That said, this place is good for what it is. Today I ordered the vegetarian fajita salad, and it came out quickly - a huge deep-fried taco shell filled with refried beans, chopped iceburg lettuce, cheesy rice, and guacamole. All that for $5, so a great price. My companions ordered tacos and a quesadilla, and were happy with their meals. What I think gives this place an edge is the wonderfully friendly service and the cozy ambience. The dining area is really cute - decorated very well. While you are not going to get amazing food here, I recommend this place because the food is tasty, the service great, the atmosphere nice, and the prices are great! read more

Visited a friend recently. She says this is the place she visits frequently for mexican which she probably goes at least once a week. Thankfully they live close and we always grab mexican when we visit each other. My husband and I split the Mixed fajitas for 2 around $20.99 which had steak, chicken, and veggies. It was really good and a lot of food! we probably couldve split the regular one and then didnt have a huge box to take home. They gave us extra tortillas on the house which is always nice when you have lots of leftovers. Also got a pitcher to split which was around $18 and probably got around 8 drinks out of it. We had a good time and had a good atmosphere though limited seating which wasn't a problem at 6-7pm on a saturday night. read more

Ok let me start by saying that i really really wanted to give this place a 5 star mainly because it is the closest Mexican restaurant to my house and i have been craving some tex mex a lot lately but what a disappointment!!!!!!! I decided to take my kids and go have a late lunch together there at around 3pm so we were the only ones there! Our server seemed more interested in the traffic outside then us but that is fine as long as he checks in once a while to make sure everything was alright.. He didnt. He dropped the drinks then the food and j had to call him when we were done because i got tired of waiting. So service bad Now the food is as another reviewer mentioned greasy and mediocre at best . I got a chiles poblano and that thing was sooo greasy i only ate half of one . I know they get fried but i order those chiles all the time and i even make them home they are not supposed to be too thin and greasy. To make matters much worse is the overcharge!! Both entrees were priced wrong plus and extra charge out of no were . When i asked the cashier he just kept looking at the receipt like waiting for a miracle or something i got tired of all the none sense so i just paid it and left . Never going back there again!!!!! The food is really, really good. The queso is amazing, the salsa is great. Really, the food is awesome. The service, however, is an absolute joke. We were not greeted for several minutes, then not given silverware when we asked for it (there were three of us, they had the booth set up for just two).We got 2 out of 3 meals rather quickly, but then everyone scurried off and avoided eye contact with our table until the third meal finally came out and was quickly shoved on the table. Then after about 10 minutes of sitting with completely empty cups, we FINALLY got our server's attention (he prowled the opposite side of the restaurant and avoided our table completely), asked for a refill, he literally ROLLED his eyes at us, got the refills, came back and basically threw our drinks down and walked off. And I mean, he slammed them down and slid them to us so quickly I was pretty sure that my Dr. Pepper was going to cover my nachos. And don't expect any more chips or refills after they give you the checks. That is apparently a preposterous idea and they make sure you know it. The food really is VERY good, but the service is beyond lousy, hence the amount of stars given to them. If you go there, get it to go and go home and enjoy food with people that like you. read more
