Double trouble margaritas and a watermelon Mojito
    Tommy J.

Fist I have to say... literally the best Chiliverde I've had in years. Not kidding, a remind me of the dive places my father used to take me when I was a kid. I could eat this almost every day. We were a party of six. My son's here and we arrive at 7:15. We were sat immediately. Took a while to get some cocktails going. Adrianna was the waitress and I told her that alcohol was kind of a priority. She was a little snippy. Said she would get to us when she could... that put us off a little bit, however after the alcohol arrived, chips and salsa... things relaxed. What we ordered: 3 x double trouble margaritas 3 x watermelon Mojito Vodka soda 3 x shots Herradura tequila 3 x shots Tito's vodka Many types of tacos (fish, chicken, Carnitas, Carne Asada) 3 x Chili Verde dinners Fajitas Refried beans The drinks were perfect. Food arrived fairly quickly and everyone talked about how delicious the food was and of course you read earlier best chili Verde. Six people $340 for dinner a little on the pricey side but over half of that was alcohol. Definitely worth it. On a sidenote... Four of our group have been here before, and there was an incident with the waiter and he was really snippy also. So maybe this restaurant just allows the servers to be a bit abusive? But it's OK, when you're spending $300, quite a of the tip rides on the servers attitude. It's the difference of a $15 tip and a $80 tip for a $300 check.

With so many restaurants in Vegas we hadn't been back to this one in years. But last night while at the Silverton we have it another try. Even though it was Friday night they were able to seat us right away. Kaden promptly brought us drinks, chips and salsa, and kept our water full. Always nice I had the quesobirria tacos and hubby had two enchiladas. Both were very tasty and not expensive considering it's in a casino. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. They do keep it rather cold if that matters to you.

Let me preface this by saying that my husband and I don't add much salt to our food, so our comments about saltiness may or may not apply depending on your taste preferences. We made a reservation for an early dinner at 4:15pm thinking it would fall during Happy Hour. When we arrived, we learned that Happy Hour only applies to the bar menu, so just something to keep in mind if you're planning your visit around Happy Hour pricing. The decor and ambiance at Mi Casa are really nice, and the staff was friendly and prompt throughout our visit. What we enjoyed: * Chips and salsa * Machaca Beef Tacos * Beef Taquitos These were definitely the highlights of the meal for us. What didn't quite work for our taste: Several of the other items we tried were unfortunately a bit too salty for our tastebuds. I also ordered the Michelada. I can't quite pinpoint what it was, but it felt like it was missing something -- almost like the flavors weren't quite as full as I expected. That said, my husband actually liked it, so it may just come down to personal preference. Dessert: We shared the Warm Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and peanut butter powder. The inside of the cake was perfectly molten, but the cake texture itself felt like it may have come out of the oven a little early. The vanilla ice cream had a great flavor, although it was slightly icy. Service: Shout-outs to our servers who did an awesome job taking care of us. Kasen brought out our drinks and chips and was super nice and respectful. Adrianna, our server, was friendly and all smiles throughout the meal, even while managing a busy section. Tip for future diners: If you're planning to visit for Happy Hour, just note that the pricing only applies to the bar menu. Overall, the service and atmosphere were great, and there were a few dishes we really enjoyed. With a little adjustment to the seasoning, this could easily be a stronger dining experience.

This experience was a little better than last. We were seated as soon as we walked up to the restaurant. Our server was pleasant enough. My BF and I decided we both wanted Taco Salads. He got his with shrimp and I went with the carne asada. The Taco Salads were fine, nothing too exciting. Several pieces of the carne asada were too chewy. Good variety of items in the salad. I guess maybe we didn't think it was great because it lacked in the amount of protein it had. I did like the crispy tortilla bowl the salad was in. Our server was friendly enough but we only saw her twice. The bus person was the one who we saw most. She filled our waters and checked on us. We waited a while to get our check. Luckily the bus person came by and we asked her for it and she went and got it. It was sort of busy for a Thursday night, and it's always a pretty lively atmosphere.

    MOLCAJETE for TWO
    Ben C.

A fine Mexican themed restaurant with standard Mexican fare and some other unique choices. Our server, Bri, was attentive and explained the Molcajete dish which we eventually ordered. MOLCAJETE for Two is served in a very hot stone bowl. We ordered the Ranchero with steak and chicken. Palm sized chicken and steak tomatoes, onions with avocado all in a thick savory queso sauce. Two plates of Spanish Rice and Bean are served in addition to your choice of tortillas.

I used to go here non stop ten years ago, and as I watched its slow decline in food taste, I was simply amazed that "Best of Vegas" kept crowning this as a gold medal for Mexican food...are they serious? The restaurant itself is still very beautiful, but starting to show signs of age. We sat down and ordered some water, only coming here because we had a food comp and wanted to try something different. Chips and salsa come complimentary but ours never came until we addressed it as the food arrived. I wish I would have left it alone, as the chips were hard and stale and the salsa was so bland I could not believe it...boy has this place changed. I ordered the two combo plate with two separate enchiladas...one ground beef and one chicken. Bland bland bland! The rice had some kick..that was ok. Hub ordered the carne asada tacos...he was less than impressed as well. This will be my final visit to this place...it has fallen so far it barely rates as Mexican food. The service was good...but I am afraid that is just not good enough.

Our server provided exceptional service, super friendly and attentive... I regret not getting his name. The atmosphere was fantastic! While the Mexican food had good flavor, the chicken enchiladas were a bit dry, which is my only complaint.

Came in for THANKSGIVING DINNER, made reservations for 3PM. The greeter, needs some training, said they weren't ready yet, we said no problem. Two others came in after about 10 minutes and the greeter took them first... There were so many great looking items but they were not the same as online. We ordered a "CADILLAC" Pitcher Margaritas. It tasted right off the bat as there was NO booze in the pitcher!!!!!! WE mentioned it to our server Adrianna that there appeared to be no GRAND MARINER in the Margarita. She seemed like she went to the bartender and she came back and said yes there was!! The Margarita tasted like "NOTHING". A 7-11 slushie tastes better than this drink. We again mentioned the Margarita's were awful when she brought our meal (it tasted so bad we actually drank the water instead) We eat Mexican meals all the time, drink Margaritas went we eat out and live in the southwest most of our life's. We know what the food and the drink should taste like. We got our meal which was quite different from anything we have ever had, MOLCAJETE for 2, tres Reyes. No spoon was given to get the sauce out of the lava rock bowl which was BOILING HOT!!!!! The shrimp and beef were over cooked by the time we got the spoon. The fried ice cream was the best thing by adding extra chocolate sauce. When we got our bill we again mentioned our discussion about the terrible Margaritas $30 for the small pitcher with offer to remake, even our care about or not charge for this lousy Margarita. For that experience alone we shall not return!!!!

This seemed like the fun choice. Excellent Tacos. They charge extra for add hot salsa and tortillas Really cute decor, but after cleaning leaves some to be desired. And i like warm chips at the beginning but not tonight if i was staying 3 days i might try again.

It's a hidden gem. The wife made rsvp on Opentable and we were seated right away. This venue is inside Silverton casino and only open after 4pm. The decor is superb. Ambience and noise level is moderate. Service is 9/10. It is combined with Su Casa which is an Asian eatery but you can order either or wherever they seat you. I usually order Quesobirria tacos or Santa Rosa salad which is beautifully arranged, colorful and tasty too! It's a good portion. Usually the wife and I would order the Mocaljetta for 2 but since they change the rules for coupons they can no longer combine coupons so we have no choice but to order 2 separate entrees. If you don't have coupons, I highly recommend you order the mocaljetta for 2. It comes with a choice of chicken, steak, and shrimp or you can even add lobster for extra price. The Green Chile verde burrito is huge! The pork is soft and moist, there's enough to share for two but my wife refused to share. lol The deep fried avocado is also a must! It's so good that got my wife looking up recipe. Desert is a bonus. We order lychee panna cotta. Must order early as they run out fast. We look forward to coming here for many years to come. Thanks Mi Casa!

Ok, so we went to check out Mi Casa, a Mexican restaurant inside Silverton Casino, for dinner. When we got there, we also saw Su Casa, a Japanese restaurant, in the same place. So, even though we were in the right place, we were confused about which entrance was Mi Casa and which entrance was Su Casa. When we asked the hostess for help, she told us that both entrances didn't matter because Mi Casa and Su Casa are basically the same place, a Mexican restaurant and a Japanese restaurant smashed together. We were seated at a high top table in front of the sushi bar. I immediately knew that I was going to have one of their margaritas, so I flipped over to their margarita section, where they have a few select flavors available. I chose their pineapple margarita frozen (aka Pinarita) with a salted rim, and Kyle had their Ruby Casarita cocktail. It's not a Mexican restaurant without me having a delicious margarita! The frozen pineapple flavor immediately reminded me of summer. For food, I ordered the California burrito with rice and beans on the side and Kyle ordered the Carne Asada burrito, also with rice and beans on the side. As with most Mexicans restaurants out there, we were also given a free starter of chips and salsa. The Carne Asada was so huge that I was lucky enough to get the California burrito, which smaller in quantity and was wrapped like a sushi burrito. I ate one part of my burrito before deciding to take the other part home with me, while I finished up all my beans and rice. Kyle ate about half of his Carne Asada before deciding to the take the other half home with him as well. Payment and the check were both a little slow coming out, but that's because they had someone new working the POS system and it was only their third day on the job, which we understood. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed this place and we're hoping to come back next time to try out the Su Casa part of the restaurant.

I want to love this restaurant but we continue to have bad experiences. The food is always great but the service is horrible. We waited over an hour for our food and when our food finally came our server came back a couple minutes later and took my plate back because it was the wrong one. (I have a food allergy so this could have ended badly) I appreciate him catching it but if I would have taken some bites already that could have been bad. The hosts are never friendly and seem like they hate their job. Their sushi menu they removed quite a few items and it is ridiculously expensive for sushi. We've been here multiple times and each visit the service gets worse. I do not think we will be returning.

    Quesabirria tacos, beans, & rice.

Everything about this experience was fantastic. Obviously I can't give credit to the restaurant for bringing a fine friend along, however, service was excellent and I enjoyed the food. OK let's get into it. The food: I had the quesabirria tacos and my friend had the veggie fajitas, which is a dish that satisfies her gluten-free dietary restrictions. Taco meat was well marinated and flavorful, and I can't believe I'm gonna say this but, there was almost too much cheese for me. That being said, I can't knock it because everybody loves cheese lol my only gripe about the tacos would be the excessive amount of grease. Other than that the beans were fantastic, the rice was fantastic, and my friend got her own separate kind of green rice, again for her dietary restrictions. Our amazing waiter talked up the green rice so much that I felt left out and asked if I could have a sample for myself. He was very accommodating and brought me some and I have decided they are both great, but I prefer the Spanish rice. The green rice had a cleaner more cilantro forward flavor profile and just a tad bit spicier, if that helps anyone. The regular Spanish rice was richer and had more umami. I'll be back to try more on the menu. Those veggie fajitas looked amazing and I'm jelly I didn't get any zucchini on my plate too! I didn't get many more photos this time, it was gone in a flash! I love the decor. All the bright colors and glass baubles are reminiscent of Cantina-style colored lights and the other decorative aspects were organic, wavy shapes, denoting influences of artsy Mexican, southwestern, and old Spanish style. My friend and I took a stroll down to the mermaid fish tank out in the casino. There were no mermaids, but that's OK because I love the fish. Lovely experience. Definitely recommend.

I really like the interior decor which is like a very contemporary and upscale Mexican. They have a variety of table and booth seating and a large bar. Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!
