Delicious pho and bánh cuốn đĩa inside the Eden center. This place might be a little difficult to find because the storefront is not outside facing the parking lot. We loved the pho- perfectly seasoned broth. The noodles are cooked perfectly- chewy texture and not too soft or hard. Very tender meat! The signature dish is the rice crepes that you can wrap with assorted grilled meats inside. Reminds me so much of Vietnam! The service was very fast. Our server was very polite and sweet. We ordered their crispy spring rolls, pho, mini banh xeo, and Hu Tieu Kho. Everything was delicious and perfect for a cold night . The Hu Tieu Kho is not something that's always on the menu at a lot of pho places so I really enjoyed being able to order it here (it was perfect). I am a huge pho enthusiast . Good food with very friendly staff. We came 20 minutes before they were going to close. They still asked us to come in and eat, as long as we could be done 30 minutes after closing time ( we were done 5 minutes sooner). The food was very good and I enjoyed my beef with white onions and vermicelli. My son really enjoyed his pho with brisket and tripe. My wife had the fried rice with salted fish, which was interesting for her. It came on the side as a soup so she wasn't expecting it. I just wish they put little less msg in there. I can eat msg but not to much. Just little taste of soup and ready give me headache. Discovered this spot in January and I thought it was really good. Extremely flavorful vermicelli bowls and I especially liked the shredded chicken salad (see pic). Coming from Orange County, CA where there's an abundance of authentic Vietnamese foods, I haven't been able to find a DMV spot that serves a Vietnamese salad to my liking yet. But this was it. I went back several more times and eventually it was closed for weeks. I wasn't sure why. As of April 2023, they changed ownership. The menu is no longer the same. They don't serve the chicken salad anymore. And I found the vermicelli bowl to lack flavor, even the fish sauce. Very disappointed. When we arrived in the mini mall, the phone within the restaurant remained ringing while our call was still waiting for a response that never came which prompted us to go in and order takeout. After returning home to prepare our meal, the soup was all spilt and surely not secured properly. Upon checking the contents of the addons (bean sprouts, meat, beef tripe, etc.) it was to a surprise (as a Vietnamese person and someone who has been to many Viet restaurants) that the portions were so miniscule along with the stingy portions given out. It looked sloppily put together along with the fact that even in my family's workplace, they give more than this. This shop is known for Hủ Tiếu Khô noodles (clear or yellow) with a soup on the side. I know this because this shop was here about 10yrs ago but they left town and now just came back. I normally don't order Phở here as there are specialized Phở shops just across the hallway...hint hint Some of the locals favorites here are the house noodles with soup on the side and the phở áp chảo. I ordered the pho with meatballs. When I took my first sip of broth, I thought it was absolutely amazing. I continued my meal feeling very satisfied but I felt the broth ended up being a bit too flavorful/sweet for my taste as I got closer to finishing up the pho. The service is extremely poor and good was subpar. We had a party of 8 and arrived during lunch time. The place was not packed. There were one or two other tables at that time. They were out of a few dishes when we tried to order - bánh xèo, bánh khọt, and out of beef. We ordered bánh bèo chén, bánh nạm, bánh bột lọc, bánh ướt dia chong dia buon me thuot. All dishes ordered was a bit bland. The sauces helped, but you would need a good amount of sauce. Everything was served sparingly. One person from our party ordered the cà ri dê, but barely ate it. It was more on the sweet side and the goat meat was not good quality. The servers did not tend to the tables, customer helps themselves sort of deal. We were not given small appetizer plates to eat the dishes that we ordered, so had to use the small ones that the bánh bèo chén came in. The table was not cleared as they brought out dishes, so we cleared our own by placing the empty dishes on a separate chair. When trying to order more food, we were scolded for not ordering everything at once, so we didn't bother asking for any more. When I went to pay the bill, the cashier apologized for the egg rolls and implied that she'll pass on the feedback to the kitchen staff plus she would take it off my bill. Its sad to write a bad review for a newly open viet restaurant in town. However, i cant resist to give this place 1 star for the bad service ever. I understand the waiting time is longer due to the shortage of staff. We came in ordered the food and waited for more than 30 minutes with no food came. A group of 2 guys came after us; got sat and had food before us (they ordered the exact same things we ordered). Wow really!!!! I could not understand how it happened. I would avoid this place at all costs. The food here is mediocre at best. But the service is horrendous. We came in as a party of 5, we had to seat ourselves and the server/ cashier forgot to give us the menu. So we had to try and get their attention for five minutes to get the menu. Then we had to try and get their attention again to order, which took another 10 minutes. While ordering. They told us they don't the Vietnamese pancake today with no explanation , it was understandable but then after a few minutes we saw the table next to us get two orders of pancakes. i was really confused, so do they have pancakes or not. I tried to order the bun bo hue, they also told us they were out, so all 5 of us had to order the combo pho. Very disappointing meal, the server was rude and looked clueless when asked questions. A bit late in writing a review but here it goes. I went here two months ago when it was recently opened. The food was delicious! I ordered some type of goat curry stew with French bread (item 47) thinking it was some sort of appetizer. It was a hefty dish with lots of flavor and huge chunks of meat. The restaurant was not frugal with the portions. Because they were still new the place was not the most organized and some trash was left on the counter when we were paying. I don't hold that against them as I'm sure they were under a lot of stress (my reason for the 4 stars). I loved that they had other soup and stew options other than Pho. Vietnamese cuisine is more than just Pho and it was a pleasure to see something not accommodating strictly to the USA palate. It's hard to critique pho but it was another well sized plate! My husband and I ordered special Hu Tieu kho (dry noodle) with a soup on the side. We expected to have everything as listed on the menu. However, when they brought 2 bowls to our table, we asked them why there were no dried crispy shrimp cake and fish balls as shown on the menu. I came in for breakfast and we were the first guests. The servers were a Hispanic woman and a young Hispanic guy. Both don't speak English therefore they can't take our order. A Vietnamese man came out and took our order. I call Pho Dac Biet and Bun thiet nuong. He then disappeared. 2nd table of guest came in and have same problem as us. The hispanic woman then bring us some water and we point to the menu we want to order 2 drinks. She took the order. Next she gave us a bowl of beef pho and we saw she brought out another bowl of pho with everything in it (our bowl) and she seem to be confuse which table it should go to. We told the guy that took our order that this is not our bowl. he reply it is your. All the meats is at the bottom. We stir it up and it's nothing but beef but whatever we will take it. He then give us an attitude and said okay take this bowl and gave us the other bowl. The beef has a smell amd vegetables were not fresh. Broth is okay. Mind you at this moment there were only 2 tables of guests. So it is NOT busy. My Bun thit nuong is not fresh. Noodle is hard! Seem like they just microwave up yesterday noodle. We then ask for our drink and same guy said the Hispanic women forgot to make it. He only make us 1 drink and again 4got our 2nd drink. At this point we were too frustrated.
