I was travelling from Charlotte, NC to MD and I happened to stop by at this restaurant. I had been to this restaurant in the past when it was named differently and still liked the food then too. However, this time, I found it much better and couldn't stop myself to provide review. First, I was thrilled to learned that they started serving alcohol, so it was Saturday, why not... I ordered mimosa, OMG, it was mind blowing, love it. Then we were greeted by our most pleasant server, Bishma.. she was so knowledgeable about food and preparation. She worked as consultant no kidding, asked my likes and dislikes and suggested me to order Smoked Salmon Benedict and my husband did combo of the day. Both were very good and well priced. Returned to Miami Breakfast House today. It was another excellent experience. Laura suggested I try the Shrimp sandwich. It obviously was scratch made in their kitchen. They made what could only be described as a "shrimp cake" patty, put it on a bun with appropriate condiments and served it with a choice of home fries or French fries. I just tried MIAM Breakfast House on Lawndale. It is located where Wicked Burgers used to be next to Goodwill. The new configuration is bright and contemporary. I had Florentine Eggs Benedict trying to convince myself anything with spinach and avocado is healthy. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly and tasted great. Service was prompt and attentive and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back to sample more items on the menu. read more

First time going to Miam. The service was excellent. Very pleasant waitress. But the food was just ok. The "home fries " were frozen potatoes, not fresh. And the omelette was almost empty. Very little cheese inside. And I've never been to a breakfast restaurant that only gives you one slice or f toast with a meal. Prices were a little high for what you get. Probably won't go back. We had an amazing experience at Miam Breakfast house today! We showed up as a party of 10 (including 4 kids) and were set immediately. We were celebrating my grandmothers 93rd birthday and the staff was beyond wonderful! Our sever could not have been better....coffee cups never emptied, the entire order came out quickly and perfectly, and the food tasted amazing! The service is good. We've been there twice. The first time we had lunch: club sandwich for my husband and a Reuben for me. The corned beef on my sandwich was like eating jerky because it was so dry and over cooked. The second time we went we thought we would have breakfast thinking maybe they were better at that. The food was good but served cold. We told our server and they gave us a discount. She admitted other people said their food was also served cold. Hopefully they will get better. read more

Four people: 1-avocado toast, 1-omelette, 1-egg white omelette (didn't finish, didn't like), 1-eggs/sausage/pancakes/grits, blueberry hush puppies, and 1-soft drink, 1-coffee, 4-waters. I don't think it was worth it. There was nothing special about anything we ordered. The price of going out to eat has absolutely gotten out of control. I also didn't appreciate the added card fee for not paying cash. Restaurants need to post that information at the door. The service was good. The interior of the restaurant was more like a studio selling abstract paintings, the wall art had price tags on them. read more

My friend and I went on September 4, 2025 around 1:30pm to enjoy a delicious brunch. When first walked in everyone seemed very friendly and the bathrooms were clean. I was very impressed. So we ordered our food the on duty manager brought the food to us with a smile. We ordered the crabcakes Benedict, I had hashbrowns with onions she has the french fries. honestly, the food was tasting delicious and perfectly cooked until I made a discovery halfway through my meal that there was a on one of my hash brown onions. We the waitress over and showed it to her. She was very apologetic and went to get the manager , he came out and immediately said I don't know what happened. I can sure you,It didn't come from our kitchen. We didn't do that and let me show you a video. I told him upon his coming out that I was not there for a free meal. I just want to bring it to your attention...that my hash brown onions had hair on them or should I say a hair. He goes on to show a video of a black male pulling his hair, in order to receive a free meal. I found that to be very distasteful and I reminded him again. I'm not here for a free meal. I just wanted to bring this to your attention, then he goes on to say I will give you 15% off of your meal because you look like a nice lady that doesn't need to do that. I told him "no thank you just bring me my ticket please and I will pay for my entrée ,but I will not be returning back to your restaurant." Because when he became very defensive and want to pull out a video of a black male, pulling his hair into his food in order to get away not paying for his food . That was saying to me you did not trust people of color. How let me just say that the restaurant was equipped with cameras and I advised him go check your cameras and that will reveal the truth that I did not pull out any of my head in order to get a free meal. He looked at me shocked when I mentioned the cameras being in the restaurant. Also the staff.staff went from being a friendly to nasty toward us. I paid my bill and also my waitress and left. Help is great. Food is wonderful. From scratch hash browns and homemade sausage. I like the bananas foster French Toast and the Monte Carlo sandwich with tasty sauce. Specialty coffee's are awesome too, I like caramel latte. read more

I went to Tex and Shirley's, then I went when it was Cagney's and Now It's Miam and hands down, it's the best. the wait to be seated on a Saturday morning was less than 5 minutes, the coffee? Good, the pancakes ?, fluffy and quite tasty, the Grits? We're the BOMB. Nothing needed. They were spot on and FINALLY, somebody knows how to make REAL Corned Beef Hash and it's NOT out of a can! We were over charged for two breakfast plates. I brought it to the attention of the person at the counter, then she had to go to the manager to figure it out. He gave me a credit for one, not two. I went to restaurant for the first time today. There was a table for the 8 of us to sit together. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Everyone with me enjoyed their meal. I watched the manager push a hostess out of the way and yell at her for no reason(while she was in the middle of doing her job) it made the whole meal very awkward with me and my mom. Food was good but I would recommend going to the Miam's in Winston. Also heard the manager yelling at servers in the kitchen while I was walking to the bathroom which made our sever seem very stressed and in turn made the service lack.
