I finally got to try Miam Breakfast House and I enjoyed it. I was happy to see that another breakfast spot was put in the same building as Tex and Shirley's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a very popular spot so it is busy but the ambiance is nice, it's family friendly so this is a great spot for everyone. They even have a bar, which is also nice. My food was delicious. I had never had a grilled blueberry muffin but this was a nice balance of sweet and savory. I definitely recommend Miami Breakfast House as a regular spot to enjoy a good meal.

Food was plentiful and good with a huge variety. Service was fast despite the fact that it was a Sunday morning and very busy. They even have a bar with specialty cocktails and coffees!

The food was just okay, nothing special. The restaurant is very loud, so it's overwhelming. Our waitress acted like she really didn't want to be there. There was no excuse to have trash on the floor like that, the wait staff just walked by it constantly. I wished our experience had been better!

I see why this place is always packed. Caught some early morning breakfast and will definitely be back. Large portions, couldn't even finish my French toast. They make in house fresh orange juice. Very fresh with minimal pulp. The restaurant is very clean and plenty of places to sit. I also noticed they had a bar area where you can also eat and order drinks. I'm thinking that's the only place alcohol is since a drink menu wasn't given to us when we were seated.

Miam Breakfast House in High Point is a solid choice for breakfast! The food was excellent, prepared as ordered, and at a fair price. It tasted as good as it looked. Portions are generous. The service was excellent. The interior is a bit crowded, both tables and chairs close to each other and even the booths are packed tightly. Must be a holdover from the former restaurant, but that was the only (slight) negative in my experience.

We had an amazing breakfast here! The salmon benedict with breakfast potatoes was so fresh and delicious. We also loved the fresh orange juice and the clean, modern look of the inside. The service was great, and the whole place had a wonderful vibe. We will definitely come back! Sat at the bar area and service was fast. The bartender said everything on the menu is delicious and she was right!

I made a reservation for my birthday and specifically called ahead to confirm an 11:00-11:30 AM arrival. I received a text confirmation suggesting 10:00 AM would be better, and I replied clearly that I would be there at 11:30. After that, I received multiple phone calls asking me to come at 12 instead. Long story short, there was a lack of clear communication, which was frustrating--especially for a planned birthday outing. That said, once we were seated, the experience truly turned around thanks to Wil, our waiter. Wil was absolutely amazing--so sweet, warm, and genuinely welcoming. He went out of his way to make me feel special on my birthday, and that meant a lot. His kindness and positive energy really stood out and made the visit memorable. The food was delicious and plentiful. I ordered the Combo of the Day ($13), which came with two eggs any style, bacon or sausage, a side, and a choice of buttermilk pancakes or French toast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the price--you won't leave hungry. The place was packed, which speaks volumes about its popularity. The ambience was great--beautiful space, lively energy, and a welcoming atmosphere despite how busy it was. Overall, the food and ambience were on point, and Wil's service was outstanding, but the reservation communication could use improvement. With better coordination, this place would easily be a 5-star experience.

This was my second visit and much improved experience with the food this time around. The Florentine Benedict I ordered was well made and delicious. My wife tried the depiction scramble and it was nice too. The service was quick and smooth, and we were in and out pretty quickly.

My first review of this location was 5 stars. My last review was one, due to the service. I took it down for reasons I'll not publicize but I'm adding back the five stars for the respectful conversation with Cole. Thank you for taking the time to listen to your customers. For the most part I've received nothing but great service in High Point and on Lawndale so I will continue to be a customer for you and any business who respects providing high quality service and of course great food! Thank you and see you next time!

Waiter was very attentive and polite. He even came back after food was served and asked how our first bite was. Several staff asked if we were ok. Food was plentiful and delicious. Restaurant was very clean. I recommend the blueberry muffin!

Service was excellent! The food was very good, and prices seemed reasonable. The restaurant was clean and very busy (good sign).

Miam is a decent small-time chain with ties to Cagney's Kitchen in NC. This particular location was convenient and lined up well with what I was doing for the day. Walking in was an experience. It felt like I was transported to a hotel-type dining area and lobby room. I'm not sure if they're still figuring out the layout, but it was different. Service was good and the chicken and waffles hit the right notes. I'd certainly get it again if I visit out of convenience. It's nothing spectacular, not bad but not great either. Their classic coffee was standard diner style. It's alright.

We came to Miam Breakfast House in High Point thinking it would be a cute breakfast stop and ended up staying longer than planned because it just felt good being there. The space is warm and cozy not loud, not rushed the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your morning or afternoon. As soon as we sat down, the service felt friendly and relaxed, like they genuinely wanted us to have a good experience, not just turn tables. We started with fresh-squeezed orange juice, and you can immediately taste the difference it's bright, refreshing, and real. We had an almond milk latte that was smooth and comforting, perfect for a slow morning. The food honestly surprised us in the best way. The red, white & blue French toast was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not overly sweet just really well done. The avocado toast was fresh, simple, and balanced. And the crab cakes benedict? That one stood out flavorful, rich, and absolutely worth ordering. One thing I appreciated was noticing they offer gluten-free options, which always says a lot about a place being thoughtful and inclusive. What really made the experience though was the overall feeling good food, kind service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back, not just check it off a list. If you're in High Point and looking for a breakfast or brunch spot that feels cozy, welcoming, and genuinely good, Miam Breakfast House is one of those places. We'll definitely be back.

I don't know if the ownership has changed or if they just made some decisions to alter things, but either way it changes our opinion of the place. First and most important for us, they used to be the only place we were aware of in NC to get Gluten Free Crab Cakes which was a major reason we frequented Sammy G's. That has apparently changed and the new Gluten Free menu is basically just the meats menu which is a real shame. It looks like they have made some other small changes to the regular menu as well, none of those were all that concerning but the loss of this GF treat is a real blow for us. If you are a celiac and found reviews about the GF crab cakes, please be aware they appear to be gone now. Additionally, the prices across the menu seem to have gone up by a few dollars. When you consider that Sammy G's was never a cheap place to eat, and given the state of the economy these days, that actually does come out to a noticeable change and makes it harder to justify going. However, with the loss of the old GF options, it's unlikely we'll come back anywhere near as often as we used to.

Entrées followed in a reasonable time, no real issue there. Sammy G's has been in High Point for years and offers a wide menu with a little bit of everything. They also bring out little yeast rolls that are pretty good and they were warm when served. We started with the thin cut onion rings. My husband said "less than spectacular," and that sums it up. Some were sliced so thin you mostly tasted breading, and they were a bit greasy. I would skip these. He ordered the fish sandwich with Brussels sprouts (premium side with a small upcharge). The sandwich was okay, nothing special. The Brussels sprouts were good, nicely cooked with solid flavor. I had the Fratellis salad with greens, cranberries, feta, mozzarella, Granny Smith apples, and candied pecans, and added sirloin for an upcharge. They forgot the steak at first, but brought it out shortly after in a separate bowl. Not a big deal. The sirloin was cooked medium as requested, a little red inside and tender enough to cut easily. It had good flavor. I chose the apple cider vinaigrette, which worked well with the salad. I also ordered the chef's selection soup, which was supposed to be lobster bisque. If there was any lobster, it was microscopic. The flavor was slightly bitter and just not good. I asked for it to be taken off the bill. Service handled everything well, including the mistake with the steak and the soup. Atmosphere is casual tavern style, relaxed and easy for a weekday lunch. Must order: Fratellis salad with sirloin and apple cider vinaigrette (yummy), Brussels sprouts Heads up: Skip the thin cut onion rings and don't expect much from the bisque. Other soups, I've had here in the past have been great though.
