We had an amazing breakfast here! The salmon benedict with breakfast potatoes was so fresh and delicious. We also loved the fresh orange juice and the clean, modern look of the inside. The service was great, and the whole place had a wonderful vibe. We will definitely come back! Sat at the bar area and service was fast. The bartender said everything on the menu is delicious and she was right!

Waiter was very attentive and polite. He even came back after food was served and asked how our first bite was. Several staff asked if we were ok. Food was plentiful and delicious. Restaurant was very clean. I recommend the blueberry muffin!

My first review of this location was 5 stars. My last review was one, due to the service. I took it down for reasons I'll not publicize but I'm adding back the five stars for the respectful conversation with Cole. Thank you for taking the time to listen to your customers. For the most part I've received nothing but great service in High Point and on Lawndale so I will continue to be a customer for you and any business who respects providing high quality service and of course great food! Thank you and see you next time!

This was my second visit and much improved experience with the food this time around. The Florentine Benedict I ordered was well made and delicious. My wife tried the depiction scramble and it was nice too. The service was quick and smooth, and we were in and out pretty quickly.

Service was excellent! The food was very good, and prices seemed reasonable. The restaurant was clean and very busy (good sign).

Mediterranean omelette delicious as you can tell.

Food was excellent, my waitress was even better!! Very attentive and on top of everything she had a great spirt and laugh filled the room she walks in! I'm glad I dined here I will definitely be back. Ask for Cayla

Miam is a decent small-time chain with ties to Cagney's Kitchen in NC. This particular location was convenient and lined up well with what I was doing for the day. Walking in was an experience. It felt like I was transported to a hotel-type dining area and lobby room. I'm not sure if they're still figuring out the layout, but it was different. Service was good and the chicken and waffles hit the right notes. I'd certainly get it again if I visit out of convenience. It's nothing spectacular, not bad but not great either. Their classic coffee was standard diner style. It's alright.

We came to Miam Breakfast House in High Point thinking it would be a cute breakfast stop and ended up staying longer than planned because it just felt good being there. The space is warm and cozy not loud, not rushed the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your morning or afternoon. As soon as we sat down, the service felt friendly and relaxed, like they genuinely wanted us to have a good experience, not just turn tables. We started with fresh-squeezed orange juice, and you can immediately taste the difference it's bright, refreshing, and real. We had an almond milk latte that was smooth and comforting, perfect for a slow morning. The food honestly surprised us in the best way. The red, white & blue French toast was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not overly sweet just really well done. The avocado toast was fresh, simple, and balanced. And the crab cakes benedict? That one stood out flavorful, rich, and absolutely worth ordering. One thing I appreciated was noticing they offer gluten-free options, which always says a lot about a place being thoughtful and inclusive. What really made the experience though was the overall feeling good food, kind service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back, not just check it off a list. If you're in High Point and looking for a breakfast or brunch spot that feels cozy, welcoming, and genuinely good, Miam Breakfast House is one of those places. We'll definitely be back.

    Goat cheese and pesto grits

We gave them an extra star because we like their interactive waitlist. It allowed us to see our spot in line and an estimate on how much longer we had to wait. The good stops there. Per our receipt and per the seating chart, our server was Heather - however, since she never introduced herself, I can't confirm that's correct. She seemed impatient, made us feel rushed, didn't get our full order correctly, was inattentive and just didn't seem to care how the food was presented to us. I ordered the Touch of Southern skillet and the goat cheese and pesto grits. The hollandaise came on the side, which was perfect because I wanted to try it before adding it to my food. Unfortunately, when it arrived it was all over the tray and had spilled into my bowl some, and once the bowl was transferred to the table, it was all over the table. The skillet itself could have had a good flavor profile, but there were more hashbrowns and meat pieces than fried green tomatoes. The eggs were carelessly added on top like an afterthought and the cheese was in some spots and not others. The goat cheese and pesto grits were not well executed. She forgot them with our food and so they were likely just thrown together. The flavors went well together, but based on this experience, not worth it to order them here again. My husband ordered 3 pancakes with no powdered sugar, bacon, sausage and hash browns. Not surprising, the pancakes showed up with powdered sugar on them. The hash browns looked like they were in the pan just long enough to warm them. The sausage patties were burnt as if they were forgotten. The bacon seemed to be the only part of his meal done well. The pancakes tasted as though they are a Bisquick-homemade batter combination - nothing special about them at all. One of the table busers stopped by to grab some plates off our table - she smiled at us and greeted us, which was more than maybe Heather did at all her visits to our table combined. We were disappointed when this place became Cagney's and we were disappointed again today. If you went here when it was Cagney's, you're missing nothing. The place is still decorated the same and neither the food nor the service has improved. One other thing to note, they are not always open, despite their open sign always being on. Either they don't know it's always on or they can't figure out how to turn it off.

Blueberry hush puppies a must have that I didn't know I needed to have.

Wow, what a great brunch date with my wife at this place. Great vibes, helpful staff just a good place to eat brunch.

The Island omelet with home fries.

The name is French (it means "Yum"), the owner is Albanian, and the cuisine is largely American (with a few Mediterranean influences), but no matter what you call it, Miam has all the makings of a very solid breakfast/brunch option. It opened recently in the former Cagney's location near the Palladium, a spacious building with plenty of seating. Paintings for sale by local artists adorn the walls, and the interior is bright and clean. Miam has no shortage of breakfast options, including lighter and (very few) gluten free offerings. Amid the various permutations of eggs/meat/bread, you'll find plenty that looks familiar (omeletes, waffles, benedicts, etc.) as well as a few dishes that set Miam apart such as blueberry hushpuppies. Miam is also one of the few places in the area to offer a Monte Cristo on the daily menu. While this variety is definitely appreciated, some of Miam's naming conventions are idiosyncratic to say the least. The Mexican omelet is called The Mixture, and while The Island calls to mind Hawaiian, here it's corned beef...with brie in place of cheddar (?!). This was too much of a curiosity to pass up, so I went with the Island and home fries while my wife opted for Red, White, and Blue French Toast. Both meals hit the spot. The French Toast, which gets its name from the strawberry/blueberry/banana topping, was served on thick bread with fresh fruit. The omelet - meat, caramelized onions, spinach, and tomatoes inside/melted brie on top - was cooked to an appealing golden brown. The corned beef seemed to be made in-house, thankfully (the canned stuff ranges from passable to revolting), and the brie added creaminess to each bite. The home fries were nothing fancy, but they were nice and crispy. Though Miam was decently busy when we arrived, we didn't have to wait for a table, nor was the wait for our food terribly long. Bishma provided attentive service throughout the meal though I did have to wait longer than expected for the check. Miam's prices are slightly higher relative to Cagney's (our dishes were $12 apiece), but you do get plenty of food for your money. Every so often, "Where can I get a good breakfast?" makes its rounds in local social media groups, and while the same few reliable options that get trotted out each time shouldn't be dropped, Miam should definitely be added to that conversation.

This restaurant has changed names a few times, but the food and service has stayed constant. The portions are large and the food is delicious! Every waitress we have had has been extremely friendly and attentive. It's a large restaurant with plenty of seating and has always been neat and clean. I highly recommend Miami's!!

I have been here twice now each time has been a great experience. The grits are super amazing, so amazing that everyone at our table had raised eyebrows at the perfect seasoning of the grits. We were equally surprised when the lattes came. Please check out the photos. We weren't expecting too much of a latte, but we felt like we scored at a expensive foreign diner. Wonderful food I suggest ordering something that is not the norm for you for the experience.

Great food, great service, full breakfast menu. I think they're going to top Tex & Shirley's for service and taste!

We were huge, huge fans of Sammy G's previously and generally speaking everything is roughly the…read moresame but there have been some changes that really lower the review for me. I don't know if the ownership has changed or if they just made some decisions to alter things, but either way it changes our opinion of the place. First and most important for us, they used to be the only place we were aware of in NC to get Gluten Free Crab Cakes which was a major reason we frequented Sammy G's. That has apparently changed and the new Gluten Free menu is basically just the meats menu which is a real shame. It looks like they have made some other small changes to the regular menu as well, none of those were all that concerning but the loss of this GF treat is a real blow for us. If you are a celiac and found reviews about the GF crab cakes, please be aware they appear to be gone now. Additionally, the prices across the menu seem to have gone up by a few dollars. When you consider that Sammy G's was never a cheap place to eat, and given the state of the economy these days, that actually does come out to a noticeable change and makes it harder to justify going. However, with the loss of the old GF options, it's unlikely we'll come back anywhere near as often as we used to.
