This is a very nice Marriott right in the heart of downtown. The hotel is right on the water and has a nice marina adjacent to the hotel. Nothing that bad but nothing that great either. I actually had a suite which would influence many but just seemed that the rooms needed updating. Miami is my home away from home, but every time we visit I end up staying somewhere new. My guy booked this hotel as it was near his company office. I liked the location although it was not in the middle of everything, but easy to get anywhere. We checked in and got exactly what we wanted, a room on a high floor with a view of the water. The angle of our patio also had a nice view of the pool. The hotel room was nice, in addition to the normal toiletries - they also give you a salt scrub - which was great after the pool and sunscreen. There's a restaurant and a little café within the hotel, which are both pretty good and convenient. There is a Publix nearby if you need groceries or beverages for your room, that came in handy. But within the hotel there is a bartender at the pool that will take your food and drink orders that was a really nice guy. He makes some great blended cocktails that were perfect when it got hot out. Did you know that you can opt out of housecleaning services and get Marriot Rewards credit? You get 500 points per day for each day you don't get your room cleaned. Save those for a free night's visit on another trip! Just make sure to put your sign on the door. I love this program. They also have a great huge gym. Compared to the dark little dungeons at other hotels, this one had beautiful bay views, new equipment and lots of space to workout. The hotel is old and out dated. First and last time I will stay here. First started out with valet telling us to park where ever we are able to find a parking space even if in handy cap. There was no parking spaces available. Oh parking is $15.00 daily. The nightstand is mini fridge with a mini microwave on top. The bathroom is very small. You must close the door to have enough room to get into the bathtub. The bathtub is old and crack nasty. You pay so much for so little comfort. This is coming from a Marriott Resort owner. read more

By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. 1 star is 1 star too many. Can I leave 0? Customer service was so rude, it was shocking. I felt like I was living an episode of the Truman show. Samantha at the front desk deserves to be fired. I've never in my life experienced the level of rudeness from another human as I did with her. I was checking out if the hotel. I asked for a receipt while checking out.... You would've thought I asked her to run a marathon while holding a hot bowl of soup. After eye rolls, huffing and puffing and having to ask again, Samantha finally provided a receipt. I asked her if she could help explain some of the charges. She said no. Just straight up, "no". After taking my time to make sure my chargers were correct.... (the fact they call this place a resort and charge a daily resort fee is an absolute joke).... I asked Samantha if she could throw the receipt in the garbage that I could see directly behind her. She said "no. I don't have a trash can" .... I said "I'm sorry but I see one right there ma'am" she then ignored me and called the next customer to the front. I asked her what her name was. She ignored me. I had to raise my voice and basically yell at her. She ignored again. The customer walking up was shocked. They had to say "excuse me ma'am, he's asking you a question" .... To which she replied "Samantha", without even looking at me. I proceeded to rip the receipt into tiny pieces and leave them all over the hotel lobby. Their water filters are all expired and need to be replaced throughout the hotel. Don't you love drinking bacteria? I wasn't able to check into my room until 8:30pm. YES 8:30 pm!!!! And this was after calling at 2pm and asking if my room was ready before ubering across Florida to the hotel. They said "yes your room is ready sir". When I arrived, guess what? The room was not ready and they had no eta on when it would be completed. I waited for 5.5 hours in the lobby while I watched other people show up, drop their car at valet and get room keys no problem. The $30 daily "resort" fee basically just gives you wi-fi. They have a sign for a marriott elite member check-in line which is pointless because they were helping people in the other line faster. Which also just became one line at one point. The part that makes this so infuriating and disappointing is the fact that Marriott Bonvoy doesn't care. I called and explained my situation, and they said "sorry", and didn't offer to help fix the situation at all. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. I expect this type of service from a motel 6. And even then, I still expect to be treated like a customer paying for a service. I am closing my bonvoy card. Signing up for Hilton honors today. read more

We needed a wheelchair accessible room. The bathroom was not wheelchair accessible and the rod in the closet was so close to the cabinet below we could not hang our suits or dresses on it. Had to hang our clothes on the closet door. Managers were not helpful and did nothing. read more

I picked this hotel for a pre-cruise stay for a couple of days. The price was right compared to the absorbent prices in South Beach and it seemed like a pretty good location. We arrived around 10am in the morning and they checked us in early with pleasure. All of the front desk staff were extremely polite, courteous and helpful. They upgraded our room to a bay view and gave us the rundown on the free city trolley, along with several recommendations for things to do around town. The motor lobby was nicely decorated with comfy seating. It came in handy while we waited for our Uber. :) The hotel lobby looks newly renovated and also had plenty of seating. Our room was clean and spacious with an awesome view of the bay and the city. You can see the age of the hotel in the bathrooms. Ours had a bit of rust and it looked like a kid got a hold to the caulk gun because it was a real shabby caulk job around the faucet. The hotel has a nice rooftop pool with a bar. Although, the bar was never open during my stay. In fact, we were offered a free drink at the restaurant because we had to come down there to get it from the pool. They did send a server back and forth for about an hour or two taking drink orders. The bathrooms around the pool could use some attention throughout the day. They were not as clean as they should have been. Overall, we had a good stay because of the staff. Lots of pleasant and helpful attitudes made me overlook some of the negatives. Terrible experience here... we had a long day and checked in at midnight- we had called ahead and let them know and they said it was fine. upon trying to self park, we couldn't because the parking lot was full. So we decided to valet which is fine only $5 more ($34 vs $29). The front desk person didn't bother to even show an ounce of customer service. No smile, no respect. I first I thought maybe it was an issue because my gf and I are a same gender couple, but mixed race. I hoped not. No happy new year greeting, not even a good evening. I checked in with a reservation under my dads name. He sent an email letting Marriott HQ know that I would be checking in, which is usually i check in with no issue when he makes a booking for me. Seems like this front desk person doesn't know how to check email or Marriott system was broken. She told us first that my dad physically had to come check in with his ID (he lives in Asia so that is not an option). Then she said that he could mobile check in and then add me to the reservation. Which he did. But then Marriot app doesn't allow people to be added to the reservation. Maybe the Marriot system wouldn't update from Miami? Not sure what the issue was. But then she changed her mind on what he had to do. Now the front desk person said he could call in from Asia. Which he did. And finally after him asking her what the issue was -he is a lifetime titanium member- and upon her talking to him on the phone and seeing his status, she finally allowed us to check in. I'm not sure what kind of power trip she was on but it was so disappointing to experience such poor customer service by her and the other person on duty. During the 20/30 minutes it took us to figure this out, we saw six people in the lobby not wearing masks and conversing to the front desk people. One guy didn't have shoes on. We pointed this out and the front desk people didn't say anything. This hotel is lying when they say they are following Covid protocols. And then when we got to the room we took a shower and got out only to see there were no bath towels. So we had to use the little hand towels to dry off. Lol. What a joke. We called to ask for a towel, and were told there were none and maybe by the next morning they'd be getting more towels. View is nice but not worth it to have to jump through these hoops. Oh and the kicker is that we were here for my birthday. A little customer service could go a long way. Edit: upon checkout Lilieth was so warm and kind. Skip it. Probably the worst Marriott I have ever stayed at. For a full-level / full-blown Marriott you would expect better. Especially after paying top dollar ($350-per night)... There are dozens of other places nearby that would be better. Aside from the lobby, the entire hotel is in dire need of a make-over. Was only there for 2 nights. Beautiful lobby, conveniently located, self parking is a little tight in the garage and limited during events or conventions. The marketplace was decently priced. Make sure if you have any problems with your key card and getting out that you back up from the exit gate and call the FD. Don't charge your cc thinking it'll be an easy refund. It won't parking/valet are run by a different company from Marriott. Also be careful about letting steam out of your bathroom if taking a hot shower it can set off the smoke alarm in your room. read more

Another visit update from my last trip and still a solid 3. The pool is basic, no extra points at all except that the bar is steps away. The concierge lounge is ALWAYS busy and early breakfast hours (8-9) is when you may be lucky to find a chair. They did keep up with the high volume though. Service (lobby, valet, guest services....) were always happy and approachable. Valet did warn me to come down a few minutes early because they get busy in the AM. They were right but again, kept up with the demand. Now I have to say some of the guests are a little off (no effect to the rating). Mainly it was at the pool. A woman forced her kids to video tape the ice bucket challenge (circa Aug 2014). Her daughter was upset because the mother kept telling her that her reaction wasn't good. Another parent spanked her son for not putting on his arm swimmers. Awkward! Another person laying in front of me turned to face me with legs wide open. The pool doesn't have much to look at so I moved. Not the poolside view I wanted. That character is one that still makes me laugh. These little episodes were within 2 hours. I am way overdue to review this fabulous hotel. Stayed here for a post-cruise night in January, and can I just say this is the PERFECT pre or post cruise hotel?! Literally tried for months to "win" a hotel via Priceline for Miami for this post-cruise one night stay. Tried four stars, various zones, finally decided to narrow it down to Downtown or Coral Gables/Coconut Grove for this night. Started at $70 and inched up to $100 with rebid zones. Previous bid was $95. Very pleased and even more so after staying there! If you're like us, you're not ready to get off a cruise ship, so if you have to leave it, what better way to extend your vacation then spending a night at this wonderful hotel? We were greeted warmly (sorry that I can't remember the name of the awesome gal who checked us in, but that's what happens when I wait too long to do a review). First big pleasant surprise was that we were allowed to check in on a Saturday early in the day after debarking at 10am. We were offered to upgrade to a bay view room for $25. Normally, this Priceline gal balks at such things, but being my birthday, and sad as heck for vacation to be ending, we went for it. Then when she heard it was my birthday, she threw in a couple free drinks, which made this deal-loving gal even happier. Can I say I LOVE this hotel? Now up to the room we went and the view took my my breath away...it was worth every penny, with or without the free drinks! sigh, wish I were back there right now. You can see your cruise ship, dream about being on it, and later watch it sail away without you. More pluses about this hotel: happy hour...try the pulled pork sliders! happy hour prices are great. Happy hour minus...service once we moved from the bar to the patio, became unbearably slow. As in, go find the waiter yourself to finish paying your bill after he promised to take care of it. A minor complaint if you're not in any kind of hurry like we were...would have been incredibly aggravating though if you needed to get somewhere. COMFY bed, usual Marriott nice everything, and may I just say that one of the things that makes you appreciate them so much is that they tend to under-rate their own star level? This was considered a 3-star hotel, but was every bit as good as any really good 4-star we've stayed it. One last plus, they did not hesitate to let us have a late check-out the next day when we mentioned we had a later flight. TIP...do NOT recommend taking the free people mover nearby. It did not feel safe to us, and we're used to some major metros. Suggest walking or cabbing it to local attractions such as the nearby marketplace. read more

Just had lunch here very disappointing I've been coming to this hotel for over 20 years to the Miami Boat Show I ordered a wedge salad only problem when they brought it. There was no wedge. Just some lettuce, laying flat, surrounded by the shrimp Very disappointed And after I seeded, I had to search out and ask people on three different occasions to please come and wait on me I brought the issue up to the server. They brought their supervisor and he offered to replace a Salle and give me something different. Gave me the excuse that the salad wasn't up to standards because they're just re-finished remodeling the hotel was not in very good shape. It is in need of updating. read more

When I feel like splurging, I stay at the Marriott. At $400 a night for a last minute room (literally i booked it the day before driving down...) this was extremely expensive for me but I didn't feel like staying across the bridge during Ultra again, so I went ahead and parted with my money. If you need to get to Bayfront Park it's an $8 cab ride or a 1 mile walk, maybe more, which feels like a long time after you've been dancing for hours. But I only rode the cab 3 times the entire time I stayed in MIA (plus it's impossible AFTER Ultra to get any cab) so the walk was OK after a while. Directly attached to the Marriott is a tiny indoor shopping center with some restaurants, a nail salon, and some other businesses. Nearby is Nove a sushi place. But inside the Marriott they have a bar with really delicious drinks and a little cafe with delicious lattes and decent food. But who needs to walk all the way downstairs when you've got room service? I ate like a queen the second day when I ordered room service. I had the best view ever. My room was perfect. The lady at the desk told me it would only face the pool but when I got there, I was pleasantly surprised and got a view of both the pool AND the bay which I had requested. Score! The beds are SOOOO soft. It's like sleeping on a gigantic marshmallow. I kind of didn't want to leave. Hehe. Valet parking is $30 something a day. When you check in, you pay a $50 a day deposit which they return if you don't have valet or take advantage of room service and things like that. There was a goofy incident which made me miss out on Ultra that morning. =( I couldn't find my wallet and I looked all over. Security came and only after they were there did I actually find my wallet. Ugh... The staff were ALL extremely helpful and accommodating and I felt like a nuisance when I found that wallet, but they were all really understanding. I've always liked Marriott hotels, but this experience definitely was worth the $400 a night. I might consider staying again. Of course if I can get a discount. =) read more

The hotel looks the part. It's beautiful and in an amazing location, next to the water. But when I checked in at 6 pm, they assigned me to a room where somebody else was already staying. I opened the door and there was somebody else's stuff in a room currently being used. They got that fixed quickly, but still didn't sit well with me. But the worst part is, they don't have hot water. It's mildly warm at best. AWFUL. I dont think it was a fluke. I think they do it to conserve water, to be honest. The sink didn't even have a difference between the hot and cold faucets. Titanium member and this is the worst Marriott property I've ever stayed at. It's under renovation which is part of but not all of the problem. It's poorly managed and understaffed. Checkin is delayed, every amenity is out of service and one of our two water bottles was filled with chemicals. The fire alarm has gone off two nights in a row. First thing, I'd like to thank Sharissa Muller for being The BEST. Period. From start to finish, she did an excellent job handling my stay. She took great care of me and my friends. It felt like home but with a VIP treatment. Her smile and personality along with her customer service is a 10! She's amazing and I hope to get service from her again the next time I come! Obviously this hotel was amazing. Clean, excellent service, lots of accommodations, near the downtown strip, classy and fancy, more. The room was XL with two large queen sized beds, medium sized bathroom, perfect balcony view of the port and downtown, and large living room. I had perfect sleep here. The outdoor pool area on the 5th floor was great too! The jacuzzi was enough to fit 10 people! There is also an outdoor bar with full service. I will def come back here and stay! Thanks Sharissa!! It's certainly a beautiful place with beautiful rooms. We were blessed with a lovely view of the ocean. My biggest pet peeve was that we had problems finding the entrance and drove by twice. The driveway is covered and if you blink you miss the entrance so better signage would be great. Parking is at a premium as is the expense to park. Check in took a bit longer then expected. Is Also has an attached mini mall with restaurants so I browsed what shops were left. I would definitely stay again now understanding the layout a bit better. If you walk down the mini boardwalk you can see some of the cruise ships in port. read more

This was our first stay at this Marriott. Our room was on the 10th floor and, I have to say, the view of the harbor and the boats at night was amazing. I found all the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. Our room was clean, with ample space. Best of all, it was walking distance to the Publix to pick up a few last minute forgotten, necessary items. A small shopping mall is just through the glass doors to the left of the reception desk that contains a great Italian restaurant. Close to the port and a short ride to the airport. read more

If you are looking for amazing views of Biscayne Bay, look no further! Turquoise water in the daytime, and a plethora of glowing purples, greens, and blues at night make this one of the prettiest views in the city. Watch drawbridges day and night from the comfort of your balcony. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the lobby feels very modern and high class. The staff takes their job very seriously and makes sure all your needs are met. One thing I also enjoyed was that this hotel is NOT on south beach, so you get mainly business professionals and families staying there. It's quieter and not as raucous as the south beach hotels. The food offered is also great. They have a full service restaurant with ample outdoor seating that looks over a beautiful marina full of luxury yachts and sail boats. In the distance you can also see the cruise ships. And the Cuban cuisine is top notch! One of the best Cuban sandwiches I have ever had. Overall- A! We always stay at Marriotts and travel a lot. I really had hoped that some of the bad reviews were wrong, but I'm just going to have to agree with them. We had a suite , and the view was absolutely spectacular. That's where the positive parts of our stay end. I'm pretty sure that somebody peed in the closet at some point. When you opened the door of closet the overwhelming smell of stale urine assaulted us. It was beyond disgusting. I'm not sure when they updated the suite, but the furniture screamed 1980s/1990's grandmas house. A mix between Golden Girls furniture and Miami Vice. I wish I was making it up. Extremely dated and tired looking. My favorite part of our stay was the screaming newborn next door all night long. I'm pretty sure the baby was left in the room all night by itself, while the room full of people went out to party. I say that because as soon as the drunk party goers returned and had extremely loud "relations" the baby started screaming and it went on nonstop for a few hours. So if you're looking for hotel that isn't a party hotel, then this isn't your hotel. My other problem was with girls/woman strutting through the lobby and sitting in the lobby wearing thong bikinis. I'm not a prude, but I do believe there is a time and place for everything. Enforcing some sort of covering over a persons bare butt isn't too much to ask when in the lobby or eating inside. But hey....it was interesting watching a man spank a girls butt while she grinded on his private parts in the lobby..... read more

Stayed here for one night in December. Without even having to ask, the employee working the front desk switched my room so I would have a view of the Port, which ended up being a really, really nice move. Overall, the room was well-designed and immaculate. Definitely had that tropical Miami-esque feel to it. The breakfast in the executive lounge was excellent. Fresh fruit, an espresso machine, a hot buffet, decent pastries and muffins and bottled water to go. The biggest downfall to this hotel is probably the rate, given the less than ideal location. It's not really within walking distance of anything, yet I still paid over $170 on a Sunday night in December. Valet parking was an extra $30 on top of that. At least checkout was easy. I usually try to avoid Courtyards, so the Coconut Grove it out. But I think next time I'm in Miami I'll pay a little more to stay at the JW or else the Stanton on South Beach to be closer to the action. read more

First on the positive side, the hotel is right on Biscayne Bay, so if you get a water-facing room, you can look out over the bay toward Miami Beach. But that's where the positives stop. There's much construction going on, so lots of noise 7 days a week, and many closed-off options, including the pool. Room service is limited - won't even deliver coffee to the room. The location is otherwise poor as it's not walkable to much of anything, except a tiny mall with limited options. Next time for the money and the area, will definitely stay elsewhere. read more

I recently stayed here for a work conference so I did not have to pay for the room. The conference rate was 130, but I looked it up and their normal rates start at 180 and above...it's an OK location, however, my room was facing a construction zone so not very impressive...there is construction all around the hotel and doesn't seem like it will be done anytime soon. Woke me up at 630am with the construction so for me that was a BIG NEGATIVE. Also the view was a BIG NEGATIVE for me as well. I'm sure there are rooms that have a nicer view, but I got stuck looking at a disgusting condo building which blocks the view of the water. Go figure. The room itself was nice. I liked the windows, they wrapped around half of the room. The bed was comfy and the hotel itself is clean. So I wasn't super impressed but for the one night I stayed there it was ok. Somewhat close to Brickell, but it still took us about 15-20 minutes to get to that area of Miami. And they charged us $34 for valet which in my opinion is a rip off. So be ready to tack on additional charges to your room rates. read more

I must say that our two night stay here was awesome. The property is lovely and located right on the bay. The lobby and hotel staff were very welcoming, and the check in process fast. We were given a room on the 22nd floor that had a partial view to the baby which was nice. The room itself was large and comfortable, and we loved that the rooms have balconies. We actually also got coffee one morning in the lobby cafe, and had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant. Both gave great service and had good food. The location was easy walking distance to not only the bay, but to Bayside Market. read more

This is my second stay at this property for a business conference and it seems that the issues I experienced last year remain. Catch Grill - I'll start with The Catch wait staff is great. The food, not so much. My first day I got an omelette at the breakfast buffet. The chef/cook placed my selected vegetables in the pan with oil and then immediately placed the eggs in. That means I got an omelette with raw veggies. Not yummy. The second day I had to instruct her on how to prepare an omelette. The food at Catch sounds good on the menu but is woefully average. I had a BBQ shrimp and spinach flatbread for lunch and the bread was burnt, the shrimp were not BBQ, they just drizzled some sauce on and the spinach was raw. I ordered crab cakes for dinner one evening and they were very salty. I mentioned it to a colleague the next day and he had the same review. Housekeeping - The first day I put out the sign to not clean my room. I removed it on the 2nd day. Returned to an uncleaned room. I called the first desk that evening to request that my room be cleaned since I had a guest arriving. I called again that morning to remind them. She arrived and by 4 pm the room still hadn't been cleaned. When I alerted the front desk they said I had put out a black card which informs housekeeping that I don't want my room cleaned in exchange for reward points. There was no "black card" in my room. Just the Ted Talks door hanger. They finally cleaned the room that day. Public restrooms - There are signs about Sun Coast salts. It sounded cool but there were nothing but signs. No salts for the entire 5 days that I was there. I encountered an employee in the bathroom on the 3rd floor and asked and she said "Oh, she forgot to put them out. Do you want some?". Pool - The pool area is nice. However, I watched employees walk past the jacuzzi which had a plastic shot glass on the ground next to it. No one picked it up. One even kicked it. Finally one of the employees stepped on it and shattered it and then had to pick up all of the little pieces. Billing error - I'm also in the process of having them investigate and remove a $400 charge to my amex. My room was paid for by my client and there was only supposed to be a $50/day hold. I was there 5 days, so that's not $400. Overall, it's a nice property with the perfect location for airline crews and cruise stayovers. However, if I had a choice of a place to stay while visiting Miami, this wouldn't be on the list. read more

Worst hotel stay of my life and I've stayed in some sketchy ass places while touring Europe. Came here for a baby moon. NO cold water AT ALL. I'm a female so we are ok with hot water right? I think I have 3rd degree burns after my shower. Coffee shop couldn't make me coffee. What? It's a coffee shop right???? But there is a Starbucks around the corner so that is supposed to make up for it. ALL I wanted was a few days of sleep before my baby arrived. Watch some tv. Just a get away. Some decent food. I wish I would've stayed home. Have to keep my blinds closed bc the construction crew is up and down outside all day. Can't enjoy the view. They are currently (2 hours now) on the balcony above my room and it sounds like they may come through the ceiling at any moment. Went to the front desk to be told they are sold out and nothing they can do YET they move the guy behind me up above the construction???? They listed renovation to the pool and pool bar on the website. Nothing about the actual hotel. It talks about a soothing getaway. It should've said "during your stay it may sound like you're in the depths of hell, at a gun range all the while being front row at an actual heavy metal concert" but hey who needs sleep anyway?? You may have the sounds of grinding concrete and metal on metal right above your head all freaking day but we will limit your tv volume so you won't bother anyone else with your noise. Generally only stay at Marriott hotels but I will rethink that the next time I go anywhere. EPIC FAIL MARRIOTT. It won't let me post a video but I'll send those to corporate. read more

I have stayed at 100s of Starwood/Marriott properties and this was the most disappointed. The first room they gave me had a broken door and the second room was either still in use or not cleaned from the last guest with dirty towels everywhere, trash in the floor, and an unmade bed when I entered. The hotel failed to offer me either a discount or even a formal apology. Incredibly dissipating experience. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay the night before our cruise. The hotel is perfect and so close to the Miami Cruise Ports. We had a beautiful room facing the bay and cruise ships. The rooms were lovely and well kept. The staff including GM and Asst GM were wonderful to us. The restaurant for breakfast had a lot of great delicious choices. And the coffee was smooth and yummy. The front desk staff were so gracious to us. We told them it was my wife's birthday and our anniversary (on the same day, no joke), and the nice woman behind the desk gave us water and goodies. Very sweet. I had spoken to the GM prior to the visit and as an Ambassador level member, she didn't hold back. There was cake and snacks, and champagne! We didn't need to leave the room! Whenever we are taking a cruise, or happen to be in the area overnight, we'll definitely stay again at this wonderful hotel! read more

So we arrive and the card keys don't work. They sent security up and we were presented with the great Yadzi who helped us and brought us some waters. Next day we went to Catch the restaurant for breakfast- showed to a table and then we waited for someone to clean and bus the table from the last group. And we waited and we waited. My husband went to get someone and the table was cleaned. And then we waited and waited. 15 minutes of no attention and we left in favor of the cafe in the lobby. Go and see Jennifer in the cafe! She is the bomb! She listened to my rant and got us delicious food and coffee. Then she wouldn't let me pay and said she would take care of it. Wonderful woman who reset our weekend away. Thank you Jennifer. So in review, there are some very special people working here but give the restaurant a miss. read more

Solid hotel with great views and easy access to the park. The harbor can be a little sketch but the hotel itself good and the service was great. Lots of food options nearby as well. read more

Stayed here the night before we left in a cruise. It was nice, bathroom was small with no counter space.

I'm bummed to give this place a bad review. For the price we paid I'm very disappointed. The one highlight was the staff! Amazing staff so helpful, accommodating, friendly! This is the front desk staff, concierge, bartenders and cleaning staff! The hotel is undergoing a MAJOR renovation so I'm sure in a year it will be amazing but now it's terrible!!!! To the point they should try to give people a free breakfast, drink, coffee or something. It's really really bad! Unless u get a screaming deal stay away until 2023! read more

Stayed here for 1 night before a trip to Belize and Honduras. Hotel was very easy to get to and the staff was extremely nice. I reserved 2 rooms. Both were spacious, nice, clean rooms, with great views. The only problem is that the 2nd room smelled heavily of smoke. It was sickening! That being said, the overall experience at the hotel was great. Luckily, the only time I was in the room was literally to sleep. read more

This was one of the most terrible experiences I've ever had at the tune of over $1000. I chose this wwwee my room if available, i was told it was yet when I got to it. It was a simple room. No balcony and it was immediately across from the courtyard. So close that a woman saw me naked through the window. Others who were tanning just looked the other way after they caught a glimpse of me. I called the front desk to make them aware I was uncomfortable in this room. No worries since I checked in so late, it would be changed tomorrow. A balcony (which is also listed on the app under the room info- I definitely chose a room with a balcony). It was so NOISY and LOUD in this room. Idk if work was being done in the room around me or they just began beating on walls to annoy me. Housekeeping carts blocked my door 1/2 the day, did i mention they noise? The next day, I went to change rooms and the woman training was completely confused. She checked me out and tried to rebook me and recharge me. After getting that somewhat situated I left my bag said I would return later. Someone from the front desk called me (claimed they had been calling me for awhile but I had no missed called- I was driving and had no reason to not see or even hear a missed call or vm). At the time of the call i was unable to return to the hotel. Once I did, they gave me the same room I had just checked out of. I was told it's first come first serve. I didn't understand why a room couldn't be held for me due to the inconveniences and most importantly my safety as a female Solo traveler. The room was then changed to one on a lower floor and an even WORSE experience overall. The room had a balcony, facing NOTHING. The water was brown when it came out of the faucet, there was no cold water and then the shower HOLLERED while being in use. The only compensation I received was a $30 credit which essentially was a free day of parking. I am so upset I had to deal with this. Stay away from rooms 601 and 528. 528 I believe shouldn't even be in use! read more
