After watching nearly 12 hours of bands and standing the entire day, I was headed back to the Fontainebleau since that's where my car was and my in laws were staying. Miami Slice is located in the food court and has a very nice open look with tons of seating, a view to the kitchen, and a decent size menu to fulfill those pizza cravings. I was very hungry at this point so I settled on a slice of the cheese pizza as well as a slice of the pepperoni pizza. When you order, you give the staff your phone number and they text you when the food is done, or so that's what they told us. Once we found a seat and a few minutes past, our phone went off so we went to the counter to be told the food wasn't ready and to just stand around for a few more minutes before it was. Was I confused at the purpose of the text message since our food wasn't done and they weren't busy? Yes, but mistakes happen so it's not a big deal. When the food came out it was piping out and I couldn't wait to dig in. The pizza was solid, but that's it. My wife praised this place for a month so I was excited to dig in, but to me, it kinda just tasted like every other pizza place around the city only each slice was like $8 and not worth the effort. The slices were big, tasted fine, and cured my hunger. The end. Overall, Miami Slice is a solid pizza place, but that's it. The pizza was average, the prices were on the higher side, and the dystopian Fontainebleau surrounding you doesn't make anything more enjoyable. Will I be back? My friend from out of town wanted to find some of the higher rated pizza places and give them a try. This one has good reviews from bloggers and we figured why not. First off we didn't realize it was in the Fountaine Bleu hotel, this wasn't terrible because the 1st 4 hours of parking are free and there is plenty of it. It was a 5 min walk from the parking garage to the food court. The hotel is beautiful so it made the walk nice. The food court was nice and had some good choices. Everything was clean and well kept as well. The counter staff was very nice and took our order. Now comes the prices, mind you its in a casino and I personally feel it's not meant for locals to come and have a slice. 9 dollars a slice and you can get it loaded for a total of 15.50. so 2 slices and 2 drinks was 42 bucks. The slice was ok, had good flavor but I'm just not a fan of hot honey on a pepperoni slice. Over all the slice was good but not something I'm driving from Henderson to get. I couldn't justify upgrading the slices for the extra $5 so I don't know how the upgrades taste. I'm guessing it's fire so I'll try next time. I would've definitely got it if I knew the PRO TIP: Sign up for the casino rewards and they give you a $15 food credit which covers your fancy upgraded pizza. Customer service was outstanding and the staff had great hospitality. I dined in and the staff greeted me and sat me down right away. I was there during the afternoon lunch rush and service was fast. The food court has a nice and wide open layout. The staff kept it really nice and clean. As for the pizza. I thought it was just okay. I got two slices, the pepperoni and margherita. I don't think the slices are worth the price. The tomato sauce was really sweet and the crust was thin and crispy. They added hot honey to the slice of pepperoni, which was a nice touch, but I feel like it's just a fad to add flavor to pizza. IMO good pizza shouldn't need hot honey. read more
