We were pleasantly surprised by the pizza, given how crispy and thin the base was, yet holding up all the toppings. This spot is in a great new casino, and the food hall is immaculate. Great design, so you can stay awhile and open so you can even watch them make your pie. The slice is stiff, which held up with each bite, but the crust is a little too hard. All the ingredients were good, but the pizzas seemed dry, not sure if that was due to reheating or how it was made but that was unfortunate. Honest Review: 1star review again shortened because my reviews got deleted 2x with my initial lengthy review of having waited 1hr for 11x slices of pizza; this is my 3rd attempt! We were new 1st guests at this 5-Star luxury hotel and 1st time paying customers. It was very late and my family were very hungry on 12/26 day after Christmas where our plane from SFO was delayed by 1.5hrs then rental car took 2hrs; we had not eaten lunch since breakfast sandwiches around 11:30am. It was 8:30pm and we waited until 9:30pm plus for 11x slices of pizza where the staff just kept on apologizing...1hr for pizza is just wrong and super infuriating especially when my daughter was already hungry and crying in agony because of the wait. I do sincerely apologize for making a little scene since it is absolutely outrageous, maybe 15-20mins max wait time but one 1hr was wasted of our lives and we can't get that back; time is money and money wasted waiting on pizza for 1hr. We were fortunate enough to have the 2nd Flr General Manager assist us with getting a full refund but I'm still going to leave this review for families to know that you may encounter something similar to what had happened to my family and I in which I surely hope won't ever happen again. Spare yourself the frustration and disappointment, 100% would not recommend. The service staff are rude and lack the slightest bit of genuine customer service. The food is ridiculously over priced, and don't dare ask for a cup of water because you'll be met with a dirty look and a response full of attitude about how they don't offer water, but you can purchase a $6 bottle of water. Backstory: I ordered a single slice of pepperoni ($10 for just one normal sized slice), was informed it would be 6-7 minutes to reheat the slice in their brick oven, ok, nothing abnormal with that, just a bummer to wait for pizza that's already made. - It was a Friday evening but they weren't busy. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes, intentionally making eye contact with the service counter employee who took my order but she avoided eye contact at all cost. After another 10 minutes, I went up to the counter and showed her my ticket asking if there was a problem with my order or if it had been overlooked because at this point, it had been 30 minutes when I was told it would be 6 to 7. She looked at me with irritated confusion, then went back to talk to the gentleman that was making the pizza - just one guy. After exchanging words, she comes back to tell me that someone must've taken my slice of pizza and they would have to make it all over again. The way she delivered the news in a very irritated, cold, rude fashion was just extremely poor customer service in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that at paying those rates for slices of pizza they could at least have a better system for ensuring that the orders reach the customers. After waiting another 10 minutes, she flaps the cardboard box and kind of tosses my pizza slice in and asked if I want honey drizzled on it, which is their signature thing. I said yes, as I had already explained that when I ordered. But the pizza looked very lackluster and not very fresh so I explained that it didn't look like the pizza in the picture to which she responded "Well, that pizza is pepperoni with the added kick, and it's seven dollars extra to add that." The "added kick" consists of a little more Parmesan cheese and some other toppings just to make the presentation a little better. At this point, my irritation was next level so I just said no thank you and took my pizza knowing that it was going to be disappointing. After having a few bites, the pizza was definitely disappointing and now I understand why they have to drizzle it with honey. the actual crust tasted like cardboard and if not for the honey or the tangy pizza sauce, it would be a quite horrible pizza. But since they do put tangy pizza sauce and drizzle it with honey, it at best tastes like tangy cardboard - so disappointing. The two stars given were only because of the Posh foodcourt atmosphere at Fontainebleau which is an elevated atmosphere as far as foodcourts go. read more
