There were 3 of these cheesecake empanadas but I ate one on the way home. Sooo good. Get them!

Look no further for authentic Peruvian food. Mica's has got you covered. The service is elite, the food is mouth-wateringly delicious (especially the ceviches) and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Apparently they have live music every Friday at 6pm but we left prior to that. If you arrive around 4pm (they close between 3pm to 4pm to give their staff a breather before the dinner service), you'll easily snag a table or a booth. They have a Happy Hour menu and all of the items are generously portioned - we should know, we tried them all. Enjoy this gem and order whatever on the menu because you're sure to love it!

Nice place! We went during happy hour and had items exclusively from their happy hour menu. Fairly decent selection, but their regular menu is quite extensive. Their Leche de Tigre is really balanced and accompanies many of the dishes. This is critical in Peruvian cuisine and I am glad that got this right. I was surprised by their Alitas Acevichadas which I was initially a little skeptical about. It's actually an appetizer I would come back for. Nice service and comfortable location. Totally worth the visit.

Coming off Mt. Baldy the first weekend after a snow with a baby and a toddler. We just wanted food and to never do that again. We found this place on our way home and since we love Peruvian food we decided to give it a try. We got sat down quickly, despite it being the weekend and prime time. Ordered the Leche de Tigre mixto, lomo Saltado, airopuerto, and kids pollipapas. Leche de Tigre was 10/10 just wish it was bigger lomo saltado was as good as anywhere else Kids Pollipapas was a lot of food and very flavorful for a kids meal. The Aeropuerto was good just way too much rice. Will definitely be coming back.

Came here for lunch and loved the fried Peruvian corn that was complimentary. The summer bowls are a great deal: healthy, authentic choices, all for $15! I had the fish ceviche bowl and the marinade was delicious. My friend ordered the aji de gallina: fabulous, delicious! She liked the food so much she ordered two other meals to go. Place is spacious, beautifully decorated, and excellent service. I'm so glad we got to try it.

A few months ago my running club met at Micas Restobar and we ate after our run. The food was so good I decided to come back and bring my family so that they can try it. Right now they have the place decorated with Valentine's Day decorations. The food is really good, my favorite is the lomo saltado. The food is full of flavor, meat is super tender and portions are big. My daughter ordered the coconut margarita and it was better than my mojito. Service was great and the food came out pretty fast. We were able to sit in the back where it was nice and private. Looking forward to coming again soon!

We got the lomo saltado and the chaufa de pollo. Both were very good, but the first was exceptional! We could have easily shared it and not gotten the second meal at all. In fact, we ended up putting most of the second meal in a to-go box and sharing it for lunch the next day! Only complaint is that the prices are quite high, but I suppose if we only got one fish instead of two, it would have been okay.

I've only had Peruvian food a handful of times, so I'm definitely not as practiced in this cuisine but I was very impressed. Staff was very attentive and food came out quickly. My favorite dish was the potato appetizer that had a creamy eggy sauce. My mariscos plate was full of flavor and very generous with the fish & shrimp portioning. Next time I'll be trying the ceviche. There's a large parking lot and no wait on a Friday night. They have a bar which looked worth checking out as well.

    Saltado, delicious!

Great hidden gem in La verne. The Saltado dish is our favorite and the margaritas are also good. Waiters are friendly and the restaurant is welcoming.

Great spot for authentic Peruvian food. We even sampled the empanadas. Yummy! They have happy hour until 6:00. They had live music in the bar. Nice local restaurant. We will return.

Micas Restobar is fresh, fun and fabulous. From the yummy watermelon margs, to the ceviche, the decor to the downright danceable tunesfrom Debbie ‍and Mark. Our Fridays just got funner! AND the hours are perfect for dinner and dancing. Thanks Micas! Forever Fans!

A fee of $24.01 for big parties. It was a party of 6 and they failed to mentioned it to us.

They were super busy and short handed. The Inca cola made the experience more memorable. They forgot one of our orders and added extra beef to make up for it. They charged us a big party fee for a party of 6 and we gave them $28 more for gratuity. It's not nice that the fee was not mentioned to us. I didn't realized that until we paid and left.

Lomo saltado and the bistec anticuchero. Both were so good !

The food was amazing. Definitely will come back again. The service was great very friendly and attentive service. We enjoyed the ambiance and the friendly environment.

    Lomo Soltado x 2!
    Rob R.

First time at Micas... good outcome! We will return! Wife and I both had their Lomo Soltado. Traditional and flavorful, no doubt! Service was also good and attentive. Went on a Friday night and they had a jazz musician... volume and tempo was perfect. All in all, we both enjoyed our first visit. We do miss Domis in Upland. The sauce in their Lomo was more robust... perhaps they used dark soy sauce in theirs. There's definitely flavor difference between regular soy sauce vs dark soy sauce.

I had the Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos and the dish was fabulous. The mariscos included abundant shrimp, calamari rounds, and mussels, along with tomatoes, onions, red bell pepper, and green onions, of course mixed with tender pasta. This dish can readily serve two. My guest had the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was similar to the de Marisco dish, only with asada rather than seafood. It was a huge serving, with over half coming home for later. The table included the green peruvian ahi sauce and some warm bread rolls. The sauce was nice and spicy and the rolls were slightly toasted and served hot. The bread helped mop up the outstanding sauce on the mariscos dish. Of course, Inca Cola was available and a great accompaniment to Tallarin Saltado. Prices are flat out amazing and late lunch service on a Sunday was spot on. The food and table service warrant 5 stars, but the business practice of charging a 4% fee to use the credit card is downright shameful. If this fee was disclosed, it was clearly not obvious. Inca needs to modernize and build their credit card use costs into their overhead cost. What's next, a table cleaning fee, a salt and pepper fee, a dishwashing fee?

We need to have a serious talk about the absolute wizardry happening right under your noses. ‍ I almost didn't write this review. I seriously debated gatekeeping this spot because I'm terrified that once you all find out about it, the line will be wrapped around the block and I'll never get a table again. But, my therapist tells me I need to be more "sharing," so here we are. This place is the definition of a Hidden Gem. And the man running the show? Lucho. We need to protect Lucho at all costs. Not only is he the owner, but he is also a culinary artist and arguably the one of the nicest human being in the Inland Empire. I have rolled in with a big party (don't ask, long day), and despite the space being on the smaller, cozy side, Lucho didn't blink. He helped us fit everything in like a game of Tetris. The place is spotless, by the way. You could eat off the floor, but please don't, because the plates are much better. A Warning/Disclaimer: If you are in a rush and need food in 3 minutes, go to a drive-thru. This is not fast food; this is fresh food. Everything is made to order. There are no sad heat lamps here keeping burgers warm since 10 AM. Relax, sit down, and wait. It is worth every single tick of the clock. Let's talk about the food (I'm getting emotional just typing this): The Lomo Saltado (The Star): I have eaten Lomo Saltado all over. But Lucho's? It's a flavorful experience. He cooks the steak to absolute perfection--tender, juicy, no chewing gum texture here. But the magic is in the seasoning and how it hits those fries and onions. It is worth every penny. I would pay double. Don't tell him that. Aeropuerto de Pollo (Chicken Fried Rice): I know, I know. You're thinking, "It's just chicken fried rice." WRONG. Stop it. It sounds crazy to rave about rice, but this dish is savory, smoky, and addictive. I planned to eat a few bites and take the rest home. I failed. I ate it all. The Chow Mein: Traditional? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not. There is a "minor twist" in the flavor profile that I can't quite put my finger on, but it makes the dish absolutely sing. It's out of this world. Mar y Tierra: If you can't decide between surf or turf, get this. It's the best of both worlds and plated beautifully. I love small businesses like this. You aren't just eating ingredients; you are literally tasting the love and hard work Lucho puts into the pan. It's rare, it's special, and it's delicious. Go visit Lucho. Tip him well. And tell him I said hi and to sing you a song.
