We just returned from an in-depth visit to Peru and were impressed by the country's food and drinks. So, when we saw this Peruvian restaurant we thought we must try and were hoping they were authentic and they did not disappoint.

There were 3 of these cheesecake empanadas but I ate one on the way home. Sooo good. Get them!

Look no further for authentic Peruvian food. Mica's has got you covered. The service is elite, the food is mouth-wateringly delicious (especially the ceviches) and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Apparently they have live music every Friday at 6pm but we left prior to that. If you arrive around 4pm (they close between 3pm to 4pm to give their staff a breather before the dinner service), you'll easily snag a table or a booth. They have a Happy Hour menu and all of the items are generously portioned - we should know, we tried them all. Enjoy this gem and order whatever on the menu because you're sure to love it!

Coming off Mt. Baldy the first weekend after a snow with a baby and a toddler. We just wanted food and to never do that again. We found this place on our way home and since we love Peruvian food we decided to give it a try. We got sat down quickly, despite it being the weekend and prime time. Ordered the Leche de Tigre mixto, lomo Saltado, airopuerto, and kids pollipapas. Leche de Tigre was 10/10 just wish it was bigger lomo saltado was as good as anywhere else Kids Pollipapas was a lot of food and very flavorful for a kids meal. The Aeropuerto was good just way too much rice. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice place! We went during happy hour and had items exclusively from their happy hour menu. Fairly decent selection, but their regular menu is quite extensive. Their Leche de Tigre is really balanced and accompanies many of the dishes. This is critical in Peruvian cuisine and I am glad that got this right. I was surprised by their Alitas Acevichadas which I was initially a little skeptical about. It's actually an appetizer I would come back for. Nice service and comfortable location. Totally worth the visit.

Came here for lunch and loved the fried Peruvian corn that was complimentary. The summer bowls are a great deal: healthy, authentic choices, all for $15! I had the fish ceviche bowl and the marinade was delicious. My friend ordered the aji de gallina: fabulous, delicious! She liked the food so much she ordered two other meals to go. Place is spacious, beautifully decorated, and excellent service. I'm so glad we got to try it.

A few months ago my running club met at Micas Restobar and we ate after our run. The food was so good I decided to come back and bring my family so that they can try it. Right now they have the place decorated with Valentine's Day decorations. The food is really good, my favorite is the lomo saltado. The food is full of flavor, meat is super tender and portions are big. My daughter ordered the coconut margarita and it was better than my mojito. Service was great and the food came out pretty fast. We were able to sit in the back where it was nice and private. Looking forward to coming again soon!

We got the lomo saltado and the chaufa de pollo. Both were very good, but the first was exceptional! We could have easily shared it and not gotten the second meal at all. In fact, we ended up putting most of the second meal in a to-go box and sharing it for lunch the next day! Only complaint is that the prices are quite high, but I suppose if we only got one fish instead of two, it would have been okay.

I've only had Peruvian food a handful of times, so I'm definitely not as practiced in this cuisine but I was very impressed. Staff was very attentive and food came out quickly. My favorite dish was the potato appetizer that had a creamy eggy sauce. My mariscos plate was full of flavor and very generous with the fish & shrimp portioning. Next time I'll be trying the ceviche. There's a large parking lot and no wait on a Friday night. They have a bar which looked worth checking out as well.

First time at Micas... good outcome! We will return! Wife and I both had their Lomo Soltado. Traditional and flavorful, no doubt! Service was also good and attentive. Went on a Friday night and they had a jazz musician... volume and tempo was perfect. All in all, we both enjoyed our first visit. We do miss Domis in Upland. The sauce in their Lomo was more robust... perhaps they used dark soy sauce in theirs. There's definitely flavor difference between regular soy sauce vs dark soy sauce.

    Saltado, delicious!

Great hidden gem in La verne. The Saltado dish is our favorite and the margaritas are also good. Waiters are friendly and the restaurant is welcoming.

Food was excellent delicious , service was fast and efficient the waitress and environment was amazing music in the background not too loud and the whole family loved this restaurant. Will definitely come back again!!

Great spot for authentic Peruvian food. We even sampled the empanadas. Yummy! They have happy hour until 6:00. They had live music in the bar. Nice local restaurant. We will return.

It did not disappoint! Came out hot and fresh, the batter was the perfect light crispy crunchy texture, fish was soft and flaky. Great flavor. The tartar sauce was good, had a nice lemon kick to it. The fries could've been better, they may have sat too long and were a tad soggy. The branzino with chili sauce is a must order, so flavorful and loved the black/purple rice it came with. Tilapia was cooked perfectly, tasted great with the garlic rice too. Clam chowder was good. Fish taco was good. Calamari was good, not chewy at all, but their cocktail sauce could be better though, missing that punch cocktail sauces normally have. Onion rings were fried perfectly, wish they had like a Wing Stop ranch though because their ranch was not good, it was definitely like a store bought plain no flavor ranch. Service - wonderful! They're all super nice, very sweet, very kind. Food came out fast and hot. Restaurant was clean. Parking - large free lot! Easy parking.

Battered Fish & Chips $18.95 Battered fish & chips served with fries and kaleslaw, dipped with tartar sauce. Cajun Grilled Shrimp (Taco) $4.25 Taco A La Carte I agree with others, as the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The Fish & Chips was a very popular dish where many tables had ordered at least one of them, but we found the batter to be a bit too thick and greasy. I tend to prefer my oily food not to be overly brown. However, the fish on the inside was perfect though, fresh and flaky! I loved the kaleslaw and might just order a side of that the next time I am here for to-go! The Branzino with Chili Sauce was not what I expected. I had expected spiciness, but it was a bit more on the sweet spicy side for me. There was either no A/C or it was not strong enough but they had a huge industrial fan on while we enjoyed our lunch. Service was very attentive and provided good customer service. The parking lot was a bit packed for a Friday afternoon, but we were both able to find parking near the restaurant. Overall, I would return but not when the 90+ degree weather since it could be really stuffy in there, and one does leave smelling like grease.

I would be willing to forgive these things were it not for the declining quality in customer service from the hostess. I have been knowing the hostess, maybe she's the manager/owner too since even before they moved. Many happy memories were had in the previous location and she also seemed in much better spirits back then. Food quality has gone down. The prices are reasonable, however. But you walk in and are asked if you have a reservation. If you say yes, much joy! If you say no, it's like you've created a major inconvenience for them. Myself and wife have sat in the little bench waiting to be seated and we can definitely tell that reservation guests get treated much nicer than walk-ins. My advice is do not walk-in, make a reservation if you want to try this place. The spark is gone and I don't know who's in charge now but there are other better, much more customer service oriented places, around La Verne.

One of their best things is the baked mussels and to date, they are still at the top of the list compared to all other sushi spots I've been to (and there have been A LOT). They are almost always busy, (unless you come during odd hours between lunch and dinner) so be prepared for a wait. And if you do come during the busy hours, it can get a bit noisy in here, but I don't mind this at all; it just means everyone is enjoying themselves, and I'm all for people being out and socializing. The Bone-in Iowa Duroc Smoked Mignon of Pork was grilled and glazed to perfection with the restaurant's signature Smoked Pepper BBQ Glaze. We ordered it cooked medium, and it came out juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Roasted Corn Succotash complemented the pork beautifully.
