This popped up on my feed and I got it first. Say it's a 10 out of 10. I didn't expect too much as I've had different Peruvian restaurants in the past in this one by far is the best I've ever had. The fried rice is very flavorful being Chinese ate a lot of fried rice. This was made perfectly with just the right amount of wok Hei. I got the rose con Rico, and there was a lot of seafood and the flavors were nice. I've had a touch more salt. The favorite dish here was the spaghetti with pesto and beef. I got the beef fried and it was the right decision. It was very tender and flavorful to help balance the pasta sauce. The service was just OK as right when we came. No one was there to greet us and see us however after a couple minutes, I'll be able to wave somebody down. Once we proceeded, the waiter was very nice and surf as well. The interior looks better than the exterior and it decorated very nice. I definitely wanna come back and try more. I've been sitting for another 10 minutes trying to pay my check. My dad and I came here on the way back from a weekend getaway and maybe it was just that it wasn't the live music night (which I would've loved), but I felt like it was kind of a dead atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy and nice staff but nonetheless just not any type of character or charm to the place. I had the Lomo Saltado which was good but it just didn't feel like anything special. There were also only three smaller sized plantains that came with my dish which seems like not a lot but it might just be that I really like plantains haha. Fist time trying this place! It was so nice and inviting inside, the service was great, and the food was absolutely amazing. I'm always looking for good Peruvian food and this place is it. The service was not so good, the waiter only took our order and brought us the food. They never asked us how we were or if we needed anything. Finally, they charged us 18% for big parties when we were only 5 people (I didn't like that). The menu says they will charge 18% for serving 6 or more. Wow! So impressed to have this establishment open up in this area. It has a fancy yet relaxed vibe. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly and not too in your business, letting you enjoy your experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. My husband and I had been wanting to try Micas for a while. We love Peruvian food, and Micas did not disappoint! We went at 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday night, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere that makes it good for date night or a group dinner. They also have a separate party room that seats about 30 (according to the waiter whom we asked). The food was absolutely delicious! We had Chicharrón de Calamar as an appetizer; I had the Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos as my entree, and my husband had the Saltado de Mariscos. We both loved our meals, and the portions were HUGE. My entree was enough for two huge meals. Our server was attentive at first, and then we couldn't find her when we were finished with our meal, but we saw that she had apparently been assigned to the big party in the party room, so we just flagged down another server to pay our bill. The service people are there to please.Although then a few times i've been there.Where they didn't have enough staff, but it did not take away from the experience. My plate (beer shrimp pasta) was delicious. Very well seasoned with a mouth watering aroma. It paired very well with a local beer they had on tap. The vibe in the restaurant was nice, but the live band they had was a bit loud for our liking. We chose a table on the other side of the restaurant so my wife and I could have a conversation while we ate. The service was poor. When we arrived at the restaurant there was nobody to greet us at the check in table. We had to wait for a server to approach us after over 10 minutes and ask if we had been helped. Big shout out to Pedro (who was our server as well) for saving the day because if he hadn't helped us, we would have left to eat elsewhere. We lost our favorite Peruvian spot to the pandemic, sadly, so we've been searching for decent Lomo Saltado ever since. This past weekend, a family friend brought us two huge boxes of Micas's Lomo and HOLY SMOKES, this is THE best we'd ever had. The beef was the perfect cut of meat, so tender and lean and melt-in-your-mouth. The gravy was abundant and so flavorful, and the pale green creamy hot sauce was super piquant and herbaceous. I loved everything about it, no notes, 10 out of 10 stars. We're so thrilled to have found Micas and we will be back ten thousand more times. read more

I am peruvian and wanted to go out for steak. I came across this restaurant here on yelp. I went in with my partner not expecting much because usually it's hard to come by good authentic restaurants. We ordered the empanadas as our appetizers and they were delicious. The service was great and came out fast. We enjoyed the vibes as well they had nice music at a good volume where we could still speak at a normal level. As our mains we ordered tallarine verde with sirloin and it was delicious. Well, I was the first to review Micas when they first opened. They were establishing themselves so we allowed for improvement. We placed a phone order and I have to say I'm a little disappointed the food this time around. I ordered the papas a la huancaína again and they came prepared in small potatoes with the skin on. One of the nice things about the Peruvian papas a la huancaína is that they are peeled and boiled. The skin gives it too much of an earthy flavor and the appeal and taste just wasn't the same. Also the portion was way smaller. I didn't even finish it because the taste was different. I got the lomo de soltado, and the lomo fried rice. The portions were smaller, well hardly any meat. There was like 5 pieces in each , and it just didn't have any flavor. Also the aji sauce wasn't the same spicy and was very watery. This was the item that really won us over the first time we went. Then To top it off, what comes as a free item when you dine in- the rolls, you have to pay for to even get one and they charge you $.60 ea. fine, I'll pay that and I ordered 4. we get them and they are hard as a rock. ‍ smh. I don't get what happened here. Did you change who orders your food? Did you get a new chef? I don't know if I want to come back, and you guys had originally won us over with that sauce. For those who don't know, let me just say it's Peruvian chicken curry. Delicious. Good amount of chicken, sauce was on point and you can't forget the hard boiled egg and potatoes over a bed of rice. So good! -Arroz con pollo y papa a la huancaina. Chicken with green rice and a side of (1 of the national dishes) potatoes with huancaina sauce. If you know, you know. It was so good. Terrible. When one goes to a restaurant is to enjoy. Not to this one. My wife asked for a papa a la huancaina. The sauce was watery and the the potatoes with skin. The sauce should be creamy not soupy and the potatoes peeled. I am sure the owner will not eat that ..., Then, she asked for a tamale. The owner should place a complaint to the place they make them. The pork tamale was nothing but the fat of the pork. Peruvians call it "cebo". To pay $9 for "cebo"? bad. I asked for Aguadito. It was not. It was a green soup with some rice. If the owner is peruvian he should know what aguadito is. I was told that the cook is peruvian. And he's serving that ..., I betcha he will not eat that. A few months ago we visited the place. I requested for "Pescado a lo macho". The sauce was bitter. I didn't want to go after that, however, we decided to give them a second chance. Now, definitely will never go back.
