Come one, come all because Dr. Wooten sees both dog and human patients! I first found out about this practice because my rescue dog Darby has luxating patellas in his hind legs, which in layman's terms is bad knees - pretty common in small dogs. Darby has visited as a patient twice and while understandably a little nervous, was comfortable around Dr. Wooten because he is very gentle and goes at a pace your dog is comfortable with. We also participated in a recent public demo that Dr. Wooten put on over the weekend illustrating some techniques to help your pet thrive! (Highly recommend signing up for the newsletter to find out when the next event is happening. Did I mention it's free?!) I myself went in as a patient for the first time after waking up with some wrist pain and tweaking my neck and lower back. While I thought it was carpal tunnel syndrome, Dr. Wooten provided a more accurate assessment of tendinitis. He looked at both my neck/shoulder area and spine and also confirmed that these were probably some more chronic issues than I'd initially thought. With this prognosis, Dr. Wooten offered an abundance of practical actions I can do on a daily basis. When you visit Dr. Wooten, he doesn't just fix the issue - he provides you with a toolkit so that you can take your physical health into your own hands! A review of Dr. Wooten's office wouldn't be complete without giving Rick a shout-out - he's awesome - and the fact that this establishment is obviously dog-friendly. Dr. Wooten's dogs, Nikki and Blake, hang out behind the reception area :) My experience has been that appointments are relatively easy to get and when you leave a message, you'll always get a call back from Rick by the end of day. In terms of cleanliness, Dr. Wooten himself is the one who wipes everything down. Though big Mike is awesome, the business side of things in this office is ridiculous. A simple request for a printout of payments was delayed for weeks. The Dr put it on the massage staff to get, they don't have access to that stuff. Several messages were left with the office manager who never called back. Even a message left with Dr was not returned until I had to get forceful on the phone. Time was of the essence with the printout info b/c insurance was demanding it before paying a bill. Dr Wooten claimed the delay was due to them moving the office, but if you can't get a simple printout to a client in three months, it's not the move that's the problem. read more

10/10 would recommend. My dog and I are so happy with Dr. Wooten. He checked out my 9 year old dog who was showing signs of stiffness. Dr. Wooten diagnosed and provided us relief that she will be just fine. He showed us a few techniques to help her relive some of her tension in her muscles and synovial joints. He even said she wouldn't need to come back because it was not that serious. So honest, he could of said bring her back every month and we would have done it! This review is for my dog - saw Dr Wooten today and what a difference he made for my senior dog who is 15 and a tripod and has been having neck and back issues. He spent 30 minutes adjusting and going over trigger points and was so thorough and kind. By the time we got left the office my dog was visibly doing better! HIGHLY recommend! His staff was amazing as well. I think we will make this a more routine thing after seeing how well my dog is doing after this visit. read more

Unresponsive. I called 4 weeks ago as a new patient to confirm he accepts direct Medicare as his ads say he does. I got a call back 5 days later. They explained that the office wasn't fully open because the Dr was recovering from surgery. But the guy asked for all of my personal insurance information and he said he'd confirm with my insurance and call me back to set up an appointment. But two weeks later, nothing. I called again and left another voicemail message, but it's been more than a week since the second phone message and still no call back. I suspect they don't really like or take Medicare. When someone needs a chiropractor they need someone who responds in a timely manner. Sad. read more

I've been experiencing migraines on and off for awhile and I wanted to take a different approach to it. Just not a fan of the meds that just knock me out. Also people just keep telling me to just try it. So I sent an email to set up an appointment and was called the same day. Easy peasy. Office is located right off of 7th street with a huge sign that says Chiropractor. There is a small lot in the back and some street parking. As a new patient, for $75 it includes consultation, history exam, treatment blueprints, and 1st adjustment with physical therapy. I was kind of nervous only because I didn't know what to expect, especially the adjustment part. But Dr. Wooten talks you through it, so it wasn't bad at all. He also takes time to get to know you and your lifestyle. Nice guy. My first appointment went well and the staff I met was great. So I made an appointment to have a massage tomorrow. :) read more

I have been seeing dr wooten for several years for a condition I developed from many years as a sign language interpreter and a dedicated weight lifter, Prior to regular visits I experienced numbness and tingling in my hands and shoulders to the extent that it was negatively impacting my work performance but with regular adjustments and treatments I have been able to increase my stamina and significantly improve range of motion pain free! I am absolutely convinced that chiropractic medicine has not only allowed me to return to an acceptable level of performance but has assisted in averted intrusive surgery which has an undetermined outcome and success rate. I was in search of chiropractor because my trainer suggested I see one. I stumbled upon Dr Wooten on yelp and gave it a shot. Can I tell you...he knows what he's talking about?! I walked in there w imbalances and pain in my back. He recommended I try their myofascial release for a massage vs the regular deep tissue I usually get at a spa. Two months ago Dr. Wooten and the Belmont Health Center were recommended to me. Walking in to their office was the best thing I could have done for myself. I am a professional dancer and had just finished my last job with multiple injuries. Dr. Wooten was thorough and extremely diligent about looking at all of my injuries. Not only did he address the injuries that I walked in with, but maybe more importantly, found an injury I didn't know I had. Furthermore, this injury could well have been the catalyst for all of my other pain. Both he and Dr. Jones have worked relentlessly on me for seven weeks. They work in tandem with their on site massage therapists letting them know of any new exercises or procedures that need to be incorporated. The communication between the chiropractic and massage people is something I have never seen before. It is something that I believe is paramount in healing. Dr. Wooten has been tremendously generous with his time with me. I nearly always have multiple questions and he has never made me feel that my "time is up." I am also comforted that both Dr. Wooten and Dr. Jones come from athletic backgrounds. They understand the pressure of needing one's body for their profession and are focused on the time frame in which we have to work on it. I leave in two days for my next dance job with a far less pain than I had two months ago. Dr. Wooten has given me the exercises I need to do in order to continue healing and prevent further injury. Dr. Wooten is probably about the best human being on this planet- So smart, friendly, funny, and experienced. I have thoracic outlet syndrome, and saw dozen of medical doctors who did not diagnose me correctly for almost a year of being in excruciating pain. When I saw Dr. Wooten, I was so impressed with his thorough examination- it was way better than any physician including all the neurologists, vascular surgeons, and orthopedic doctors I had seen. TOS is difficult to treat, and there is no quick fix. It took months of therapy by Dr. Wooten and weekly visits to his sports medicine massage therapist, Mike, (in addition to going to physical therapy) to be able to go back to work. I originally started going to Belmont Health Center for stress-related back and shoulder pain. In continue to go regularly for preventative maintenance, keeps me on top of my game! One day during a treatment, Dr. Wooten noticed that my sinuses were stuffy and I commented that I have several sinus infections every year. He told me that he had a treatment for sinus - an electronic stimulation, not an adjustment. After completing the treatment my sinuses began to drain immediately and I did not get an infection. Now I go in every time I feel sinus congestion coming in and this past cold season was the first that I did not have an infection! The treatment hurts! It is not at all plesant, but I am still giving them 5 stars - because it works!!!! read more

I have been to at least 10 different chiropractors. Dealing with multiple joint problems. It has been about 8 years and I still haven't found a doctor that wants to fix the problem and does. Very few can properly use insertion manipulation properly, but amongst his talents this one was extremely successful. I have not been able to find someone that is as effective as Dr Wooten. He has so much knowledge and being an athlete himself he understands the importance of wanting to be active as we age. I've been to some horrible chiros that didn't truly listen to what I say and would give me a blank stare as they contemplate what to say next: whatever possible to extract the most amount of my time and money. This isn't the case with Belmont Health. I'm listened to, and I always have the feeling that I'm being treated with respect and given honest answers. Doctor Mike Wooten and Doctor Jones are the best chiropractors in the world... the office is always friendly and they do go backward to accommodate their clients schedule. My experience has been outstanding. Doctor Mike Wooten has been taking care of my athlete needs for over 10 years. But where he shined the most is to have taken care of me after a terrible accident I sustained over a year ago. I had many injuries including 2 dislocated knees, 2 broken shoulders, ribs broken, concussion and four surgeries including a shoulder and knee replacement. He took the time with me as i needed a lot of rehabilitation. He helped my recovery in such a fashion that my own surgeon could not understand how I was recovering so fast as he had told me that I would not go back to work for a year. But because of Mike Wooten expertise and help and with him coaching his massage therapist to put me back together I am now bicycling again and started to go to the gym twice a week and going up 60 stairs 6 times at the bluff and have been back to work 2 months after my ordeal. I have been to several chiropractors and Dr. Wooten is by far the best! Others used the same adjustments every time regardless of what what happening with my body. They did not seem to listen nor could they feel what was going on. I am a bit of a weekend warrier and spend the rest of my time behind a desk so there is almost always something going on in my body and a level of pain.
