I have been living in Saratoga for almost five years and I wish I had known about this place from day one! I have tried countless salons and have had many mediocre experiences. Those are all in the past now that I found Michael Anthony Salon! I have been getting my hair cut by Michael and he is truly amazing. He is wonderful with short haircuts for women that can be fitted to on-the-go/I don't want to spend all morning on my hair lifestyle. He gives me lots of tips, honest feedback about products. I like how thoughtful he is too - when I ask for something other than "the usual" he'll say "Well you know....I think this type of haircut would look really good on you....". I have never been disappointed by Michael. I get compliments every time I get my haircut by him. In addition to the haircuts he gives one thing I really like about Michael is how laid-back he is. When I get my haircut I like to chit chat, but I honestly don't like to talk much. I don't feel pressured to talk, and it also doesn't feel awkward not talk. As an introvert I appreciate that. As for the salon everyone is really friendly. The space is always neat and tidy. There is not hair all over the floor - it is swept up frequently. They have always been on time. I went to the Michael Anthony Salon for the second time yesterday for a cut and dye. Chellia did my hair and she did such a fantastic job, again! She is young, vibrant, knowledgeable, and so talented! I have come in both times with a vague idea of what I want, but I always leave it up to Chellia to give her opinion about what she thinks will look best on me. I trust her instincts and it always pays off! Not only am I a huge fan of the stylists at the Michael Anthony Salon, but the salon itself is a true gem. I am always greeted when I come in, often by Michael Anthony himself, and I feel so comfortable and welcome. The atmosphere of this salon is modern, lively, and hip. I heard about Samuel at Michael Anthony Salon from my boyfriend. I have never seen my boyfriend have a bad hair due to the fabulous work Samuel does. It's been over a year now that my boyfriend has told me time and time again that I should go to Samuel. I resisted changing hair stylists. I decided to make that change several months ago and have Samuel style my hair. I am now in the same company as my boyfriend...I no longer have bad hair days! My hair is healthier, looks great and I spend less time styling it. I constantly receive compliments on my hair now. Samuel is an amazing hair stylist. I've never been happier. Katrina Ton is incredibly amazing. I was so nervous the first time coming into the salon. I have very curly hair, that I take very good care of. I have had several horrible haircuts, as other curly girls can attest to. I also love to get my hair highlighted, but have to be careful with damaging it more. Katrina showed me lots of amazing deva curl tips and tricks of how to better care for and manage my curly tresses. Katrina is not only sweet and professional, but she makes me feel very comfortable for rocking my curls! She is so careful at not cutting length, but rather giving me a beautiful style. This says a lot for hairdressers and curly hair! I love Katrina and can't wait to come back soon! read more

Michael Anthony's hair salon was a delightful experience even in COVID times. Everything was spotless and the staff well protected. I felt very safe. They have a staggered approach and not all hairstylist work at the same time, so the salon was not crowded and very relaxing. I had the entire upper floor to myself with the exception of one other customer way at the back. I'm sad that they need to shut down again. Ayumi did my hair, I haven't seen her in 5 months. She did an excellent job, better than ever and I appreciate that she came out today to do my hair. I feel so much better because of it. Thank YOU AYUMI !!!!!! You Rock!! read more

The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the atmosphere is clean and bright and Michael makes every single person who walks in the door the center of his attention. It's rare to find a combination of both talent and great attitude together, but Michael and his team have this in spades. I found a gem of a true stylist. Therese Miller at Michael Anthony Salon is the best at color (amazing given her training in Paris) style and conditioning of hair. She takes great pride to ensure you are comfortable before she does anything to your hair. I am a red head with thick wavy uncontrollable dry hair. After years with Therese, my hair is like silk and the color is outstanding! The salon is beautiful as well. I have been going to Pareesa Rad for a number of years and was so happy to follow her when she made the move to Michael Anthony Salon a few years back. Pareesa is very knowledgeable and honest and a fabulous hair colorist and stylist. She has talked me out of styles that wouldn't work for my hair and always is there to offer her words of encouragement when I want to try something new. For my last few visits, Meena has been there helping Michael. She is fabulous and always has suggestions and ideas on colors and styling. Went here twice, got my hair done both times by Lily and left completely in love with her work! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she matched it spot on as well as keeping my hair healthy. Ashley is amazing. At my first appointment with her, she fixed the worst haircut imaginable (seriously, it was really bad) and gave me a really great cut that is easy to style. She listened to my ideas but also helped me understand what would and would not work. She is clearly very talented.
