Our company was doing some repairs at Ovaltine Court for about two months and this was our go to spot. Service is amazingly fast and friendly. Shannon was lovely to talk to while waiting for my to go orders. The cooks were super friendly and can cook up a mean NY Strip Sandwich. As far as the food goes, I can honestly say that I haven't had a single item on the menu I didn't enjoy. Pizza by the slice is delicious and a helluva deal 2 slices and a can of pop for less than $4 if you get a meaty topping, cheaper if you opt for plain cheese. The cheeseburgers are fantastic, very filling of you opt for the double. Chicken Caesar Wraps are damn good too. But my absolute favorite is that NY Strip Sandwich, tender, juicy and absolutely delicious. The only thing I can suggest if you get it, is to get a lil steak sauce on the side for some zing. This is one of my favorite pizza spots in Villa Park. It's more on the pricier side, but it's definitely worth it. I've gotten them a few times, but I have to say my favorite pizza of theirs is their thin crust white pizza! The white pizza is topped with a variety of cheese and a ranch based sauce to top it all off. It was phenomenal! Their crust is always crispy and their cheese is melted to perfection without it being greasy. Another good pizza option from them is the St. Christopher. The St. Christopher pizza consists of Italian beef, giardiniera, pepperoni, ricotta, and mozzarella. The flavors really come together on this pizza. read more

Well I never would have ordered from here a second time, but the kids did and it was a bit better than the only other time I had tried them. Delivery was quick and the order was correct and the pizza hot. This dialogue from the movie No Country for Old Men pretty much sums up my mindset when I read a bunch of typically overly generous Yelp or Google reviews for a food establishment, then, mostly in the name of suburban convenience, patronize said establishment (Obbie's is only 30 minutes from VP *sighs and hangs head in shame*) We opted for two pizzas and an order of wings...they were hot and ready on time. Two participation trophy-level stars for that. We brought everything home and from the first bite I was instantly regretting not making the drive to one of my Chicago standbys. The crust was really soft, we are talking hospital food or nursing home denture-friendly levels here. The sauce, which I quite often find to make or break a satisfactory pizza experience, may actually have been thick red water. I felt like Homer Simpson munching on the rice cakes he had mistakenly been using as beer coasters, angrily asking "Hello, taste? Where are you?" Even my eleven year-old called into question MA's seasoning methods. The cheese was equally lacking in character, no rich creamy depth of flavor, just salty. If happy cows produce delicious dairy products, they must have got this stuff from the bleakest bovine factory farm in existence. The wings were nicely grilled, had ok spicing, but were mysteriously lacking in salt. Is there a gym around the corner or something? I highly doubt the people who frequent this place are watching their sodium content. I have would have received far more enjoyment from a Home Run Inn or Urban Pie Co. frozen pizza, and I could have purchased damn near ten of them for what I spent on this meal. read more

I live within a few blocks of this place and am SOOO THANKFUL!!! They have several pizzas which I enjoy, the white pizza is great, the Sicilian is great, quite honestly I have not had a pizza from this place that I didn't like. In fact I loved them! If I'm feeling Italian for the night but not pizza? I call here and order the baked lasagna. It's a massive portion of home made lasagna that has a generous portion of cheese baked on top. The sauce on this dish is so damned good. The standard lasagna comes without the additional cheese. I love this place! read more

I ordered a thin crust sausage pizza and the Combo Platter for an appetizer. My favorite part of the combo platter was the broccoli cheese puffs. This place never fails! I order a lot for pick up, but dine in with friends pretty often too. The presentation is always amazing, the staff...they are so friendly, accommodating, and I feel like I'm with friends every time we go. They really do give you a warm welcoming feeling, like you're coming into a family gathering. I'm super impressed. Visited on a Monday. We were literally the only ones in there and that made me suspicious at 11:50am (lunchtime). We were immediately greeted and our order was taken promptly. The caesar salad was good with a cream based dressing, and the pizza was really good!! I gave four stars because while the food was good and I have no complaints, this place is not somewhere I would seek out to go eat all of the time. And if it doesn't this place has something that everyone ought to try at least once no matter what happens to be happening in their particular world. Thanks to Michael Anthony's they can provide a major assist on the non meat component of any program in the form of the most delectable, delicious, groan all the way through it menu option: their pepper and egg sandwich. Though I have happily tried this Lenten fasting staple at a myriad of spots, this is one of my favorites. And it isn't because I'm starving. The bread they use is fabulous; you will never break a tooth on it and it allows for the flavors of the egg and cooked peppers to really soak in. Is this a watery egg sandwich, Gemma, you might ask. No way, no how. Wonderfully cooked with great seasoning, and the peppers, even though they are green can truly be called sweet. Perhaps its the great olive oil they use. However the case, from a nutritional standpoint, there are a lot worse things to be eating. This spot does both pick up and delivery, too. But no matter which way you get it: it will be fresh and it will be hot! It puts a whole different spin on liturgical sacrifice. Awesome! read more

I live 3 min walk from this place and there are some days I really want to get delivery instead of getting my lazy ass up out of house with some clothes on, but to save some money on delivery fee, tips, and needing to get out of the house at least once that day, I grudgingly put some pants on and head out the door. The St. Christopher, who is the Patron Saint of travelers is a name for a one of their signature Pizza, and it's pretty damn good. Toppings include Italian beef, pepperoni, giardiniera, ricotta & mozzarella cheese. And I just add jalapenos as an extra topping. Bad thing is, about 90% of Asian population is lactose intolerant, which means that I will pay for it the next day, but nevertheless, this is a damn good pizza and toppings compliment each very well. Sweetness of giardiniera with saltiness of pepperoni and slight sourness of ricotta cheese is damn good combination. I haven't ordered anything else but you can never go wrong with the above pizza. I'm probably going to order this pizza this weekend. read more

So I was in town for work, and after a long day I was looking for something to get delivered to my hotel room. I found this place on Yelp, and after checking out the website's menu, I called for delivery. It was VERY clear this was being delivered to a hotel room. I ordered ravioli and a small salad, not finger food in the slightest. The food was good, but they didn't include any utensils or napkins!! I had to use a towel as a napkin, and dig out a fork from the trashcan from a previous meal. I was lucky that I had something to eat with! I would have been pretty pissed if I didn't have that in my trash already. So, good food, but super lame they didn't include anything to eat with with my order. I would think that would be common sense to include them, especially since I was IN a hotel, but apparently it is not. I don't know when I will be back in the area, so I probably will never eat here again, but wanted to share my experience for any others out there who might order delivery. The BLT is like a delicious open-faced sandwich, with cold lettuce and pickles on top. I know that description might not be terribly appealing, but it is a seriously amazing experience. Great pizza! I ordered from here on one of my first nights in Villa Park. My boyfriend and I were hungry and had a hankering for pizza. We recently had Dominos and it was not so great, so we looked up pizza places nearby. Michael Anthonys had good reviews on Yelp, so we said, hey why not. I had it delivered and it got to us pretty quickly. We ordered a large pepperoni, half onions. It was pretty yummy. A couple weeks later, I drove down Villa and realized how freakin' close this place is to me and felt like a dummy for having it delivered when I only lived two blocks away. Give me a break, I didn't know where anything in VP was. We had pizza again and this time I picked up myself. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small. Just a few tables. I don't think it's a sit-down restaurant; more of a "order and get it to go" place, but I suppose you could sit and eat your food if you really wanted to. The staff is really nice and the pizza is cooked well. I'm looking forward to trying more things from the menu but for now, I think I've found my go-to pizza place. read more
