View from Michael Gill patio. Peaceful vine-studded landscape like all of the Paso area.

By far some of the best Tempranillo in the area: Bold, ripe, fruity, and jammy. Mmmmm. We also tried an Alicante Bouchet--rich, soft, and ready to drink! On the white side, their Vermentino was absolutely true to style. This place boasts 'big' syrahs that take over your mouth. Certainly well made, but not my style. Syrahs are like Double India Pale Ales in the beer word. Very popular, but just too much for my sensitive little taste buds. I was impressed by the unique selection, especially since everything is estate grown. Bottle prices are a bit high, but consistent with other boutique wineries in the area. Mr. Gill, the owner, is a retired dentist with a vibrant pastime of safari travels. He told us about the "stuffed" critters displayed in the tasting room. Gill's taxidermy exhibit is as intricate and boldly stated as his wines. We traveled here on our motorcycles. There's plenty of shady parking only steps from the tasting room. But drive slow on Peachy Canyon Road. It's narrow, windy, and traveled by wine-buzzed tourists looking for winery entrances. We shared a bottle of Tempranillo and picnicked on the patio. What a peaceful afternoon! Don't miss out on this place. Great Tempranillo is hard to find.

Fun and chill atmosphere with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wines are great, big reds here. Pups were the icing on the cake!

I had a great time tasting here this last Sunday. We met Michael Gill and his wife and got a nice tour of their property and cellar room. The wines were great. My favorite is the Syrah. They also have a vacation rental on the hill overlooking the winery. Their two dogs were very nice. Michael has a number of trophy animals at the tasting room, including a magnificent polar bear. Our kids were welcomed and played around the property.

Wine tasting with Shelly was a blast! The wines are delicious and it's worth finding this hidden gem. The animal crackers were a welcome surprise and a bit ironic given the decor. Overall I would highly recommend you stop by & say hi to Shelly & Bella!

If you don't like taxidermy don't go there. I did not like the animals. I did like the (live) dog Bella.

We always love it, the wines are delicious, one of my favorites for sure. Their "Moose" wine as interesting as the name is, is one of my top wines from the ones I've been able to try in Paso. We booked the "wine tasting and lunch", which was a 90 minute experience on their patio ($40). When we arrived, we were greeted with the first wine on the tasting list, which was the Grenache (pretty good, different than what I normally go for). The patio had a nice view of the rolling hills and we could see goats running across them in the distance. The tasting consisted of 4 wines, and we also got a bonus pour. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed the wine selection, especially the "Messer" red. We also ordered lunch, and both my Harvest Salad and Parmesan Fries were very tasty. The grounds were nice, but not quite as breathtaking as some of the other vineyards I've seen in the area. Overall though, a good experience!

From the moment we drove in, the experience felt elevated--being greeted with a glass of rosé right at arrival set the tone perfectly. The property itself is stunning, with architecture that feels like a modern twist on a Frank Lloyd Wright design--clean lines, expansive glass walls, and uninterrupted views of the rolling vineyard-covered hills. After walking up the long staircase (worth every step), we were met with breathtaking views that made it hard to focus on anything else--until the tasting began. Peggy, our server, was incredible. Her knowledge and storytelling brought the entire experience to life. She shared detailed insights about the wines and the owners, from their background in geology to how they carefully selected this unique property. It made every sip feel intentional and meaningful. And the wine--wow. Easily some of the best we've had in a long time. Every pour was exceptional, but we loved it so much we had to take a couple bottles home--especially the Chardonnay and the Sagacious red blend. Already looking forward to enjoying them again with good friends and great food. This wasn't just a tasting--it was an experience. Highly recommend if you're in Paso Robles.

If you are looking for a wine pairing with food, where the wine works with the food, this is one of the places in Paso Robles you need to visit. Make a reservation - the food is custom prepared. The pairings are just so good. The valley view, the cats, the staff are just so friendly and attentive. We joined the wine club a few years ago, and came today and were not disappointed. Le Cuvier is up at the top of the hill with sweeping views of the whole valley. It's a narrow, winding path to get to the top so drive carefully! Once you arrive, its a colorful, quirky, nature-filled, calm retreat. We got to meet both friendly winery cats, Otis and ( swear I thought I'd remember the other one's name!) Cat presence always gets extra points from me. We were seated on the large shaded outdoor patio, and we were the only customers there. It was late in the day and I guess the midday rush had all just vacated at once. Our server was really great at describing the winemaking process, flavor profiles and history of the winery, but the patio was completely silent. We took out a phone to play our own music and she commented that her mother did the same thing when she visits. Dining experiences need music! If they're aware of this, I hope they consider adding some soft music for a more comfortable ambiance. Wines - All of the wines here are natural, which not many wineries can claim in this area, and I tasted some very unique blends like nothing I've tasted before. My favorite was the Syrah, but the rest of the wines weren't really my style. Food - The menu is changed regularly and it's obvious that the chef enjoys putting it together! We didn't get to try the ramen that my friend raved about because of the new menu, but we loved the mini "street taco" tostada and the spam maki. I did think some dishes would have been better served hot, like the orange-glazed chicken thigh. This was such a cool, unique experience and it sounds like you'll never have the same experience twice! Would recommend to anyone.
