Micheal Joesph's is the best cold Sandwich in Darien. There biggest problem is that they are not open on Sundays.

The Crock of Chili came out piping hot with melted cheddar, jalapeño, sour cream, and tortilla chips, rich and hearty from the first spoonful. The Breaded Popcorn Shrimp was crisp and well‑seasoned with a wasabi dipping sauce that added just the right kick. We ordered the Peremech Sandwich twice -- Tut's spiced ground beef wrapped in pastry with bouillon, sour cream, soy sauce, and sautéed onion -- unique, savory, and surprisingly filling. The soft‑shell crab sandwich was the standout, fresh and cooked perfectly. Overall, great staff, very good service, and large portions make Rory's a dependable spot for a solid lunch.

For a Sunday at 1pm, It was packed- 20 minute wait so we ended up at Rory's just down the road. My sister got the eggs Benedict, father and I both started with the French onion soup and we split a crab sandwich. The waitress was super kind and they even split the crab sandwich on two plates with fries which was nice as some places just give you the meal and an extra plate. I would definitely recommend going to Rory's if you feel like skipping the line at the diner and the diner-esque food. It wasn't packed, service was great, we didn't feel rushed and the food was very good.

We absolutely loved everything about it. Might even go back again today! We were staying on a boat at Safe Harbor Yacht Haven and it was an easy walk. Here's what we tried: Clam Chowder - As thick as I've ever had and very good. Mussels - White wine broth and very good, but maybe a little sand in some of them. Goat Cheese Quesadilla - Excellent French Dip - Excellent Fish and Chips - Very good Service was as good as it gets, prices were reasonable. This place checks off every box for casual fun dining. Loved it!

There was a event which is great but everyone seem preoccupied for the event. Perhaps they should have closed for the event. The patio was closed for event. This made us very sad...wish we could have just taken a pic. -French onion soup- was way too salty -Cali burger- small but delish. I think they use gauc and not just plain avocado. But it was excellent. -Steak sandwich...dry and flavorless and didnt look like what jungkook and jimin ate on the show. -Fries- wasnt hot and was mid. I feel like none of the food was hot though. Maybe just the soup. We could have stopped by again on our way to NYC but ...we didnt. There was a friendly doodle that was the highlight of this visit. Was so cute. Oh and prayers to Jen and her family

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality from the staff, and chef made us feel right at home. We started drinks with a Strawberry Cosmo and a Paloma Spritz. Both refreshing and dangerously strong in the best way possible. For apps we came for the Crispy Duck on Sushi Rice, and as someone who usually scared to eat duck, this completely changed my mind. The duck was unbelievably crispy, similar to crispy prosciutto, and paired perfectly with their special sauce. We also had to do the Crab Cake was another standout, especially with the house-made Green Goddess dressing. The chef even came out to explain how he prepares the sauce, which made the experience feel much more special. For the entrees, we ordered the Linguine Fra Diavolo, loaded with perfectly cooked shrimp and the perfect amount of spice, alongside the Steak & Chips finished with a truffle vinaigrette. Somehow, every single dish just kept getting better. And because we clearly hadn't eaten enough, we had to try the Bacon Mac & Cheese Balls with smoked tomato sauce. I honestly could've eaten an entire plate of those. To end our meal, the chef surprised us with his Duck Egg Brownie, and it was one of the softest, fudgiest brownies I've ever had. A 2 hour train ride sounds crazy... but Flinders Lane made it absolutely worth the trip. I can't wait to come back to try the kangaroo!

Service was nice,…read morehowever the food was really disappointing, which is surprising given the good Yelp reviews this restaurant has. We tried: - Korean pork bao buns - very one note, overwhelmingly sour from the sauce. Not much contrast at all in flavors which you usually expect from a bao (sweet, salty, savory is what I would expect). - Fried cauliflower - I thought it was fried well and the sauce was good. The cauliflower itself didn't taste seasoned though. - Sausage roll - this was pretty good. - Linguine fra diavolo - supposedly the "staff favorite" they were out of shrimp so they made it with chicken. This was really bad. Overcooked, limp linguini with a very spicy, watery sauce. Hardly any chicken. This was worse than something you could make at home. - Signature meat pie - this seemed like it could be good but overall the pie and fries seemed old, like they had been cooked hours before and then reheated. Overall, the food was quite expensive and just not very tasty. We wouldn't come back based on this.

I started out with a veggie burger. I always get this burger with a side of avocado cream sauce because it's a game changer. This sauce tases amazing with the veggie patty. Randomly, they have a Japanese side dish of pickled vegetables (tsukemono) and they have a sharp, gingery flavor that I love. I also got their BLT Ranch Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which was equally delicious, although they could've put a little more ranch on it. I paired that with their onion rings which were crispy and satisfying. I dipped them in my leftover avocado sauce as well. This restaurant has been a staple of the community for a long time by consistently using high quality ingredients to make incredible food. It's good to know that they haven't changed after all this time. You'll love it here.
