The front bumper of our Hyundai Ionic 5 was deeply scratched by debris kicked up on 101 by another car. Because we were worried about the depth of the scratches, we decided to use insurance to repair the bumper. We chose Michael J's because it's recommended by the DGDG dealership group, so we figured they would be familiar with the OEM matte paint on our car. I love that you can schedule an evaluation online and was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. My service advisor was Leandro and he was very friendly, professional, and took time to explain what work needed to be done in detail, the estimated timeframe, and what parts they needed to order. Because they're such a busy shop and our car was drivable, we scheduled the work to be done about a month out from my initial appointment. In the meantime, they requested the rental car confirmation number from GEICO so they could coordinate an Enterprise pickup when we dropped off the car. Leandro was communicative once they started working on the car and let me know when they needed to contact GEICO to let insurance know they had to do additional work not included in the original estimate. Because of the back and forth with insurance, it took a day longer than anticipated, but the car looks brand new and was really clean when I picked it up. On 4/20/22 on my way going to work, I was in the parking garage and one of the workers ended up t bone me as I was turning to go into the other floor to park. The receptionist provided me with available time-slot to choose from - which I really appreciate cause it shows they care about your time as well. I showed up and they gave me an estimate and walked me through my insurance policy and how it would work. They called back again to confirm a good drop off time for my car and told me they would work with the rental car place to sync up my pickup time. When I dropped off my car, they broke down the process again for me and told me the repair would take 5-7 business days and within minutes enterprise came to pick me up and shuttled me to their office for my rental car. They will call you again to give you an update on your car and the status. I picked up my car and was able to drop off my rental car at their place as well. Smoothest transition ever! So my Toyota was recently involved in a hit and run. I was parked and someone scraped my whole driver side. My car is pretty new still so it hurted a lot and I was on the search for the best body shop I can take my vehicle to so it can be restored as close to factory as possible. I stumbled upon Michael Js on Yelp and decided to go with them. I was really worried about my paint matching oem because it's a 3stage pearl color which is very difficult to match. Sergio helped me out and made the process super painless. He dealt with my insurance and was able to get me all the OEM parts needed for the repair because I did not want aftermarket parts on my car. I got the car back and the paint came out immaculate. I couldn't have been happier. Only problem was the calibration on my camera was off due to getting hit but Spencer was quick to take care of me. He took my vehicle back and to the dealership to get that squared away and made the whole process pain free. Spencers customer service was top notch I couldn't have been happier. He made sure I was taken care of and 100% happy. All said and done my vehicle came back superb. The paint came out great. As close to factory as any body shop coulda done. Overall Michael j exceeded my expectations and I was glad I came here. 10/10 would recommend...on a side note I found out after I had already brought it into their Taylor location that I knew someone that worked in their 4th street location name Hung.. I recently brought my RAV4 in for a rear bumper repair and worked with Lee for the repair process. He told me the rear bumper would need to be entirely replaced due to the extent of the damage, and that it would require a month for the ordered parts to arrive. I paid a deposit for the parts up front and we set a drop off date for a month later. During this time, I didn't hear from them, so I called before the agreed upon drop-off date to ensure that the parts had arrived, and Lee said they were ready for me. I made travel plans the week my car would be in the shop, so I had assumed that I would be able to leave it at the shop over the weekend, but Lee said they were really pressed for space. However, there was no way I would be able to pick up my car before the weekend, so he managed to accommodate me, which I appreciate. Lee called a couple times during this process - once to acquire authorization for additional repairs and once again to let me know my car was ready. When I returned, I picked up my car, with a brand new rear bumper, and a shiny new coat of paint and finish to cover up scratches and damage that had accumulated over the years. I was hit on the driver's side of my truck and didn't like the chain shops my insurance recommended. I called Milpitas Honda to see where take their cars for repairs and they said Michael J's. I met with Lee who was honest, friendly, and straightforward. He told me the shop was busy and parts could take a while to come in and they couldn't take my truck for over a month (which I understood). Having read the reviews on yelp and wanting my truck to be repaired properly I was content to wait and bring my truck in on the scheduled date. During the repairs Lee kept me informed of what was being done and the problems they were facing with sensors out of sync. And very helpful with fixing my car. Took 2 days to completely change my car. Went from having big Key Marks on the whole drivers side to getting a car back that looked completely brand new. They washed my car which was pretty dirty , and polished it which has never been done. The transformation was pretty crazy. Did not recognize my car at all.
