Casino cafe. You would expect more, but I suspect in the lineup of restaurants in every large casino, the cafe is normally the bottom of the barrel. Service here was slowwwwwww. About 12 people in line and only one counter person, to ring up orders, pick up the orders, deliver the orders and clean the tables, if she could. Took about 30 mins to get up to the counter and another 25 mins to get 2 hotdogs. Yes , just tow footlong hotdogs. Even though they looked good, they didn't taste right. They were very vinegary. My family & I had lunch here during our stay at margaritaville. Our boys really enjoyed all of the wild western decor & animal heads mounted all over in the restaurant. The restaurant bathrooms were a 5 star in cleanliness. The service was impeccable. The food came out fast & everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Me & my husband both ordered the sirloin steak with asparagus on the side & it came with a bowl of this delicious loaded potato soup. The soup was so good! The kids ordered the baby back ribs. My oldest son 14 ordered his ribs off of the adult menu, & my 9 yr old ordered his ribs from the children's menu & I really have to say, the baby back ribs on the kids menu has got it going on! It was very close to the same serving size as the adult menu. We all cleaned our plates! No need for doggy bags leaving this restaurant! Secondly, I may be a bit jaded since Lilly's, another restaurant in the Golden Nugget, told us they could seat us but when we got there they did not have a table for us. Unfortunately, this place was another disappointment after learning the buffet was closing. The food was not even good bar food. The fried pickles were decent but the chili on the waffle fries was out of a can. How hard is it to make chili? Guess I should have expected it. The pizzas were the worst. Totino's would have been better. Not sure why it is so hard to make eatable pizza. The oysters were very bad. Smelled horrible. I told them and they didn't even ask to Comp the meal. The shrimp were decent. Over cooked but decent. The fry's and the Ruben were good. Just wanted a good meal and this was not it. The service is quite slow. We waited 15 minutes for a table for three people. There was no one in front of us and we could see a 4-top table that was empty with silverware/cloth napkin rolled and ready for service. It took a few minutes for our server (Victoria) to come over and greet us. She ended up being extremely nice and helpful. The food was very very good and HUGE portions! I had the Chef Salad! We went to the late night grill area. Highly disappointed with my trip. I ordered togo. Portion was so small it was ridiculous. Select items on menu. I selected Vietnamese Pho. The broth provided was barely over 1 cup. If you would've have mixed the noodles with the broth, it wouldn't have even covered the noodles. Most Togo orders at neighboring restaurant in Casinos give you minimum of one quart per serving. I requested for more and was denied because the chef said it was the right portion. It was $12-$13. When asked for refund, supervisor couldn't not provide me with receipt for when she processed the return. She had to make copies of originals. Visit took about 1 hour to process. read more

The ambiance is Coastal dining with a little bit of Al Pachino - dim light and dark wood is balanced with spectacular views the Gulf Coast. We ordered a mixture of seafood off of their varied menu and I tried the blackened grouper sandwich. After spending the week in Biloxi on a tour-de-cuisine, I must say the sandwich was superb. The blackening seasoning was done right and the bun was heavenly. Others who had the battered version seemed to also greatly enjoy theirs. This was my second time to this place -- first time the service was horrible and the food marginal. Decided to give it a second chance cause I had a good comp and not enough time to dine anywhere else. I walked up to the counter and a server was stocking potato chips. I asked her if I could order, she curtly replied she was not on the register. A few minutes later another server showed up and took my order (burger and a hot dog). 20 min later I noticed no one sitting down had their food and the no servers were around. I saw the other server (the one who refused to take my order) if she could check on my food. She mumble something and went in the back. 10 minutes later still no food. I asked the hostess to speak to the manager. She went in the back but the manager came out. 10 minutes later I told my original server to check on my order, she said they are working on it. I told her to cancel and I left. All three employees I dealt with seemed very annoyed to be working there. The grill area that is open 24-7 is a life saver for those Golden Nugget hotel guests who are coming in late at night after 18 hours of casino hopping. We were all hungry and there was something on the menu that satisfied ALL of us when there was nothing else left open that served food on the property. We did not want to get back out on that road to go to a Waffle House. I got the Turkey and Cranberry Chutney wrap and boy that thing was huge. I had some for brunch the next day. It was delicious too. I didn't have to wait long and it may be because it was so late and there were so few of us customers in line (like 5 maybe). The giant fudge brownie was delightful but close to being able to call it just fudge and sugar... YUMMY. $22.00 for three of us to get a meal with drink and fries or specially fried homemade special seasoned chips (that's what I got with my wrap) was VERY reasonable being that they are located right there on the gambling/casino floor right near the elevators that take exhausted gambling people up to their rooms. We were greeted immediately, we sat down. The young lady gave us drinks we asked another server and our own if we could sit near the window near the water/ocean view. The table was already cleaned off and awaiting a guest. They both agreed there were no rude behaviors or signs anyone was offended. We have asked to sit in other areas before at other restaurants but it does not happen often at all. We moved and we were left alone for about 10 minutes or longer. The first server avoided us and the other server that was around us serving other guests did not attempt to help us. Everyone avoided us. We have also read on Google maps several reviews showing the same incidents. I wanted to just leave but me and wife had drove 6 hours to get there. We sat in a very visible area i was turned around looking at the servers avoid us. After we got one of the servers and questioned them why we were not being served. It's sad the whole Golden Nugget casino is experiencing a lot of bad reviews in all aspects of the business everywhere you look. Facebook, Google maps, yelp, etc. Some guests are even being physically handled while trying to walk through the casino floor where it is posted 21+ to gamble, not walk through. My Husband and I were just wanting an appetizer. She looked at me like I was an idiot.
