Solid Sando spot in south reno. Specials pf the day, sides, salads, great drink selection. Quick service deli type operation perfect for the lunch time rush. Everyone is super nice. Not a ton of seating so be aware of that. Overall solid spot. Pretty sure they named it after Me

This place never fails me! Always incredibly tasty with the best service. I had the chipotle chicken sandwich and added some hot sauce for my personal preference (they have a large selection of hot sauces!) Portions are fairly generous. My daughter had the chicken Caesar wrap and didn't finish it. When we went to ask for a Togo container they offered to take the leftovers and wrap and bag them for us. Kudos to that! They also offer breakfast that I would like to try. Can't wait to come back!

I stopped at Michael's Deli hoping for breakfast (which ends at 10:30), but I'm so glad I didn't let that stop me. It was a mellow atmosphere with Christmas music playing, the service and food were fast. I ordered Tany's Favorite and OMG -- it was insanely good, like what I imagine crack would be like . Absolutely amazing. I'll definitely be back!

Michaels Deli has amazing salads, sandwiches, and wraps. If you go during lunch hour it's busy but they do not take long to get your order. The place is small but there is seating outside too. The salads are well worth the price.

Popped in for a quick lunch just before noon. Had checked the menu online before coming so we're prepared to order. Several people behind the counter working, all friendly and working quickly. Not too busy yet but once we were seated people started coming in. It's a busy area so a lot of people had preordered lunch to pick up. We got our own drinks from the fountain and sat down until our salads were brought to our table. I had ordered a daily special salad with caramelized walnuts, apples, blue cheese and tender pieces of chicken breast which was warm. This was served over mixed green lettuce. The only thing I would have rather had the dressing on the side, it was very sweet and had been tossed in it so there was quite a lot of it. Otherwise the flavors were good and I enjoyed the salad. My friend got a trio of egg salad, tuna salad and chicken salad but didn't want egg so they gave her extra chicken salad. Her dressing came on the side. We were given small rounds of very toasty bread on the side which was ok. The restroom was gender neutral and clean. They decorate the walls with sport themed lithographs. Nice deli with a good variety of sandwiches and salads on the menu, decently priced. Next time I'll get a sandwich to try, one I saw on a Dutch crunch roll was piled high and huge!

Food was delicious, but that is always to be expected at Michael's Deli. I went for something new and was happy with the experience. The chicken panini was crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The chicken was perfect. My friend had the TAB and she said it was delicious and loved the Dutch Crunch roll! The service was friendly and quick. We can in around 11 am on a Wednesday and they were a little busy, but we watched it get busier the closer it came to lunch hour. The hustle and friendliness of the employees continued throughout our visit. It's a little small on the inside, but enough room for a few people to eat their meals, but not large enough for a party of 6 or more. They seem to do a lot of to go orders and if I had a large party, I would get it to go and eat at one of the many parks close by! Michael's is always a delight and I will be returning!

Ordered lunch today from this place. I got the chicken breast panini. It came with sun dried tomatoes, pesto, and mozzarella cheese. So delicious. I'm picky about pesto -- this was super fresh and flavorful. The ingredients were fresh. Will be adding this to my lunch rotation ! Easy process to order lunch and pick up!

I was aware they had breakfast burritos here and decide to ask if they have pancakes and it turns out they do! The kids were so happy. The pancakes were not on the menu online, nor were they on the board inside the deli. I don't recall the exact price but I remembered thinking it was reasonable. You could get a stack of 3, or 5. Great service without the hustle and bustle of your typical breakfast joint (probably because most people would only think to come to a Deli at lunchtime). The chorizo burrito was delicious but I did feel like it needed a salsa-- not from a flavor perspective but rather to balance out the textures. The cheese (cotija perhaps?) and buttery potatoes were perfectly paired with the chorizo. The tortilla was griddled in a panini press which was a really cool twist. Looking forward to coming again! Oh, and I though the ambiance was nice. The shop was quiet, didn't have any strong smells, and it was decorated and cozy feeling.

We can't say enough about this location. Our sandwiches were wonderful. The service is great and all the employees are very friendly and d good at what thry do. We ordered the mile high roastbeef and mile high pastrami & turkey. YUM!

This is Michael's deli second location in South Reno. The door actually says Michael's deli 2. They offer a wide range of salads, sandwiches, Panini's, the whole gamut. Six or seven different types of bread. Many types of sandwiches and toppings for your choice. You're really gonna enjoy this place. I stopped in for lunch and when I'm back down in that part of town it'll certainly be a go to spot.

Efficient fast friendly service. Even during the popular lunch hour when the line is long, I'm usually in and out within 10 mins. Salad portions are humongous -- perhaps enough for 2! The sandwiches are really good. You can tell that they use high quality chicken breast in their sandwiches. Can't get enough of this place! read more

There used to be a cafe called Dandelion Deli that had the best veggie sandwich on Dutch crunch. When it closed, I couldn't find another sandwich like it in town...until I discovered Michael's Deli. They have the BEST veggie sandwich. The soups are killer too. read more

So happy that they have a second location now. This location is a lot smaller than their midtown location but the service and food are just as good. They offer the same menu and rotating dessert selection. Highly recommend trying out this deli for their selection of delicious sandwiches! read more

Finally a great place in S Reno for salads!... I am always looking for a great place for a salad for lunch. I have tried them all and am always disappointed. Today I decided to go to the new S Reno location of Michaels Deli and was blown away. It pains me to write this review.....because I am revealing a GEM. This is the best sandwich/wrap/deli in town. The spicy chicken club is the best thing I have had but my kids LOVE their sandwiches. The wraps are huge and the salads look incredible. I haven't been for breakfast but they have a really good looking breakfast menu as well. read more

Good non chain, quick lunch spot with lots of variety. I have tried a couple different sandwiches and the chicken gyro. All were good but nothing I would crave. I thought the sauce on the gyro was a bit bland and tasted mostly like Greek yogurt which I do like but expect flavor in a taziki sauce. The chicken salad sandwich was pretty good and every sandwich I have ordered has been pretty big. They don't skimp on meat. If you need a quick lunch and want healthier options from fast food, this is a good one. read more

Fast, friendly, and fresh are the first things that come to mind as soon as you walk in the door. So good that if you don't usually Yelp, you got to Yelp this place. My Wife got the chicken caesar salad wrapped in a pita with chicken soup that was loaded with pasta and veggies, I got the Jimmy and the Pete's because I couldn't decide and those are basically my two favorite sandwiches of all time, one was on dutch crunch and the other on a sourdough roll, that sourdough roll was like butta, just perfect, I feel that the dutch crunch was on the dry side and had to order extra Russian dressing for my sandwich, but I'm not complaining, that sauce saved the day and would be so good even on your shoe, we shared rice pudding, expected to be sweet, but it was not, and we got the lemon bar that was delicious and rich. Can't wait to come back. read more

Great place for a classic New York style deli sandwich. We have ordered here a handful of times at work and the fact they deliver outside of any delivery app is AWESOME! I usually get one of the mile high sandwiches piled with meat and cheese and all the fixin's. I will continue to frequent this establishment for their great sandwiches and stellar customer service. So happy there is a Michael's Deli location in South Reno now. I just ate here for the first time and was happy to see some familiar faces from the midtown location. The food is just as good. It really does not get better then this!!! I have been coming here since they opened the place and EVERYTHING we have tried has been excellent!! They are always very nice and prompt, I went today to geta couple breakfast sandwiches and wanted to kick myself because I only brought enough money for my order and a tip. Because they had their apple pie sitting on the counter an it looked absolutely wonderful!! I grew up in Carson city and lived here most of my life and this is the 2nd review I have ever wrote. Was looking forward to having a good NY style pastrami sandwich. What I got was the smallest sandwich I have ever seen. While tasty it was like a mini sandwich, with a very small single layer of pastrami. Maybe they had a bad day so may try again. Staff was friendly and place clean. I really wanted to like this place but from dishonesty on their menu board as their bagels DO NOT come from NY they are bought locally to their lack of customer service and their phones constantly busy with their voicemail telling customers if you received this message we are closed even at 1 pm in the afternoon. There-to-go salad boxes need to be bigger as there is no way to toss the salad in the little boxes they supply and since they do not toss the salad before putting it into the to-go box it causes disasters trying to eat them. I would suggest not getting the $2.00 brownie which was the worse I have ever eaten even though it looked like a chocolate brownie it did not have any chocolate taste actually no taste at all. The salad was loaded with ingredients but just piled on top of the lettuce they should maybe toss the salad before putting it into the to-go containers so it is easier to eat. It would be really good if they took customers' suggestions on what soup they would like rather than having no idea what soups were coming up and I have no idea why calm chowder is the only soup on Fridays every Friday. How boring! read more

I will say that I didn't see celery or apples, and I only saw one piece of red onion, but perhaps those things are minced very finely (or incorporated in the salad some other way?). Either way, I have no idea how such a simple looking salad tasted so complex but it was fantastic and I highly recommend ordering it. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak with some sort of French-fry. He enjoyed it but mentioned that he was surprised a place named "The CHEESE Board" had such a light layer of cheese sauce in their Philly cheesesteak sandwich. (He said he wished there was more.) The place was packed but the food was out fairly quickly considering. I will say that I wished the seating felt more spacious, inviting, and comfortable. With a full restaurant and tables so close it wasn't the most relaxing environment to dine in (a bit cafeteria like) but they are limited on dinning space it seems. I did see that they had a kids menu. A child at the table next to us got the $10 plate that included thinly sliced green apple, crackers, cheese, and a meat (salami perhaps?); the portion seemed reasonable for the price and was certainly more than one gets in a Lunchable so I made a mental note that I could see my kids finding something to enjoy here. Overall, fresh food and clean pleasant ambiance. I'm looking forward to returning as well as keeping this place in mind for a visit when I'm hosting guests from out of town that prefer salads and/or more "frou-frou" food.

I discovered Michael's Deli shortly after transferring to a new job about nine months ago, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots. This hidden gem is located near my workplace and consistently impresses with its delicious offerings and warm, family-owned atmosphere. Their breakfast burritos are a personal favorite of mine. I often call ahead on my way into work, and they always have them ready in 10 minutes or less. These burritos are huge, packed with flavor, and incredibly satisfying. Beyond breakfast, I've also enjoyed their gyro and a specialty chicken sandwich. Both were delightful and very inexpensive, considering the quality and generous portions. While I've only visited the South Meadows location, I'm eager to check out their other spot soon. Michael's Deli is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service at a fair price. read more
