So happy we tried this place for lunch today. I tried the other sourdough place off Pyramid a while back and was not impressed. This place crushed it. Staff was super friendly, patient and very helpful. The food came out quickly and when it arrived we were both very happy with our sandwiches. The bread has just enough crust on the outside with the perfect chew and was perfectly sour. I had the grilled chicken pesto with added house sauce and the flavors were great. I ordered a French dip sandwich to go from here today. The place looked clean and busy. The young lady that took my order was nice. They had plenty of workers hustling to make sandwiches. They offered me a cup for water while I waited. I didnt wait too long to get my sandwich. I got home and ate my sandwich. It was so good. I'm glad I got the big one, I believe it was the 12 inch sandwich. It came with a side of au jus sauce for dipping. The meat was cooked perfect. Soft and moist. And the bread was toasted just right. I ate the whole thing. Oh, they also sell just the plain sourdough bread on the side if you just wanted the bread. I was almost going to buy a loaf. Maybe next time. I can't wait for my next visit. I was excited to try West Coast Sourdough, so we ordered the roast beef sandwich, a turkey and salami sandwich, and a side of mac and cheese. The restaurant had a handful of other customers but wasn't particularly busy. Even so, it took about 18 minutes from ordering at the kiosk to getting our food, which felt like a long wait for a relatively small order. I really liked the house sauce on the sandwiches. It added a nice zest and zip. Unfortunately, I was less impressed with the bread and the amount of meat. For a place centered around sourdough, I expected the bread to taste a little fresher, and the meat portions were pretty skimpy. There was such a thin layer of meat that the ratio of bread to filling felt off. I typically get a much heartier sandwich at places like Jersey Mike's. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and reminded me a lot of Panera's white mac and cheese, so that was probably my favorite part of the meal. We decided to try the new to us West Coast Sourdough. I ordered on line (easy peasy) and we had a text in about 10 minutes our order was ready. Walked in, grabbed our Sammie's and we were ready to dig in. The bread is amazing!!! I had the Italian with lettuce/tomato/inion and their special sauce. Great new sandwich shop here in South Reno. Went today for lunch and had the turkey on their sourdough bread. Loved it. The bread has a nice crispy exterior and soft inside. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all our questions. Orders are taken at the counter and then brought over directly to your table. The place was busy as it was lunch hour but I found them to be very efficient despite opening a mere few weeks ago. Staff even came by our table to ask how everything was and to let them know if there was any ways to improve. This is my new favorite sandwich place so definitely will be back! read more

We went in yesterday for a quick dinner before the Aces game. Although the staff were young, they were attentive and kind, and we were impressed. I ordered the Reuben and my husband ordered the French dip and we each had a side of clam chowder. The sandwiches were large, and there was no skimping on the toppings, meat, etc. They were delicious! The clam chowder was also very good and we picture ourselves coming back in the winter for clam chowder bread bowls. Although it did not seem to take very long for us to get our food, the person who delivered it gave us a cookie and apologized for the wait. This place is so good. We tried the tomato soup (which I normally don't like), and it was amazing. The sourdough that came with it was excellent. We also had the cracked pepper turkey and Rueben sandwiches. We added bacon to the turkey and loved it. The Rueben was good, but the cheese wasn't melted. If they are able to do it (and I don't know because it was our first visit as they just opened yesterday), I would ask them to toast the bread with the cheese on it so it melts. We ordered lemon cookies, but they were out so they gave us chocolate chip instead. They were better than most chocolate chip cookies. read more

I've eaten here several times now, and the food has been consistently great. The French dip is incredible, the pepperoni and buffalo chicken flatbreads are both excellent, the buffalo chicken sandwich is delicious, and somehow even the cookies are worth coming back for. You can tell they use quality ingredients. My only suggestion would be to add a little more meat to the sandwiches. They're really good, but a little extra would take them to the next level. Now, the layout... whoever designed the ordering area must have been conducting a social experiment. If you order inside, you'll likely end up standing in the doorway with people ordering, people waiting for online orders, and people trying to leave. It gets a little confusing and crowded fast. My recommendation? Order online, walk in, grab your food, and escape before you become part of the traffic jam. Overall, the food is excellent and absolutely worth it. We came here to check it out. We weren't aware it had only been open for two days. They clearly weren't prepared for the excitement the area had for trying a new place. Lots of great sandwich, soup, salad, and flatbread options. I'm pretty sure the owner was taking all the orders because he was also being generous with giving discounts and/or fully refunding due to the wait being so long. One gentleman had been waiting 45mins for his order. Ours took about 30mins for two sandwiches. It was clear they weren't prepared for the amount of popularity it would have. While they had a good amount of stuff working, they were struggling to keep up. I mean they were taking in-house orders, online orders, and orders for door dash. I would have though they would slowly roll all online orders after they've been open a couple weeks to ensure their staff can handle orders quickly. Then maybe have specific staff only doing online orders, specific staff for in-house orders, and the rest helping with soup/flatbreads and assisting when they are available. This way the flow is easier for everyone. I will say our sandwiches were delicious. We had cracked pepper turkey and the garlic pesto turkey. Everything was flavorful and the bread was perfect. Overall the place was clean. Soda machine on the left when you enter. There are 6 tables that seat 4 people each and restrooms at the back. Order and pick up area at the front. Given it was only day 2 of being opened I am planning to go back to (1) see if they worked out the kinks for efficiency, and (2) because their food is delicious. read more

Everyone was friendly and the Owner/manager brought us out our order and included a chocolate chip cookie. We took our Cracked pepper turkey sandwich to go, but the restaurant was clean and maintained between customers. The sourdough bread is fresh and tastes like it's supposed too. The turkey and ingredients were fresh and their sauce with Dijon mustard made the perfect sandwich. The chocolate chip cookie was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The owner gave us complimentary clam chowder and tomato bisque to try which were both amazing! Give yourself a little time because they hand make everything. Go early. I enjoy the addition of bell peppers and jalapeños, and swap the recommended cheese with pepper jack. Wife loves the French dip. I put this place on par with high end delis in the area. Ordered multiple times, sandwiches are delicious and always hit the spot. Even better than the food is the excellent service provided during each visit, especially the most recent. Called for to-go (I think Rachel answered, she was kind and diligent with our family's big order) and when picking up, the entire staff was friendly and attentive. They were working hard and did a great job handling an apparently good evening for business. Our wait time was slightly delayed so they apologized with a few cookies, a sweet gesture that we very much appreciated. Got home and realized the French dip was missing for our sandwiches. The manager Jay answered our call back and was quick with offering to resolve this. He refunded our sandwiches AND personally delivered the dip to our home (10 min away). I went in on. Wednesday (8/5/26) around 2p. Not busy at all. All food makers had gloves on, but out of the 9 people around the food prep area, 7 of them pushed their unbound hair out of their eyes. (I waited for 35 min for my 2 uncomplicated sandwiches and stood near the soda machine and watched them out of boredom.) The girl with purple hair did it about 15 times while I stood and waited. One young man licked his finger! Gross! Another young man walked from one end of the counter to the other end with a roll in his hand and was hitting the side of his leg with the bread as he walked back to his spot. I think he was nervous because he appeared new and didn't even realize what he was doing. Bleh! At one point, all the kids were talking and playing with each other for several minutes as I stood and waited for my order. A very nice young man brought me 2 cookies, on the house, dut to my long wait. I appreciated that. Six people received their orders after I placed my order and he realized that my order was overlooked. My order was simple. One chicken and cheese. One Ruben. Both were 8". Two sodas. Just under $40. The sandwiches? Well, hubby said the Ruben was very good, but very skimpy on meat. My chicken? I planned to eat half my sandwich, but because it wasn't actually covered with meat, I nearly ate the whole thing. I asked for onion and had 2 stringy pieces that I pulled out because my teeth couldn't chew it. (Yes, I have my own teeth! LOL) I received a 2nd apology as I finally left with my food. Mayo, mustard and special sauce gallon containers sat open on the counter behind the register the whole time I waited. The young girl taking orders was filling smaller containers, but never changed her gloves or washed her hands after taking orders. Sandwiches-2 Cookie-5 (It was so good that I want another and I am not a sweet eater!) Sodas-5 (Good roobeer.) Service-3 (Because at about 30 minutes of waiting I was acknowledged.) Food preparers-1 They need training, but it won't be on me again. There are many better shops in town. Ambiance- 2. It was very confusing to know what we are supposed to do when we come in. If the order taker didn't eventually ask if I was ready to order, I wouldn't have known that I ordered from her. There were several people after me that were confused too. The order taker did eventually wipe down a few tables and the soda machine counter. It appeared clean in that area, but the prep area was a mess. Final comclusion- I won't return. Not even for that delicious cookie. I don't feel safe that I would be served clean food. The food prep staff are not trained at all. I am very disappointed because we are sandwich eaters, but we will choose a better place next time. I tried so hard to like this place. read more
