Very disappointing experience at this Michaels. After shopping for a while, I needed to use the restroom. There was no sign indicating that it was unavailable, only a yellow caution cone near the entrance. I asked an employee with short jet black hair for the restroom code, but instead of answering, the employee looked to another female employee with blonde hair, who told me they were having ongoing plumbing issues and the restrooms were closed. If the restroom is out of order, a simple "Restroom Currently Unavailable" sign would be more honest, professional, and considerate of customers. Having customers walk to the restroom and then search for an employee to find out it's closed is frustrating and unnecessary. I hope management addresses this. Grateful to have this store close by! Ive stopped in many times to grab crafty things and Halloween time was no exception. I was a gumball machine for Halloween. I provided the dress and materials, and my creative sister executed and designed the best costume. I was able to find a variety of pom pom balls here that we used as the gumballs. First time visiting this location. Plenty of parking in the front. Came to get photo frames for family. They have a large selection here but not all the sizes were in stock or organized. Luckily I came after work and didn't mind looking for then. I like how staff is also available for help. I ended up buying a few different sizes and ordering the rest online. I love,love Michael's and this is one of my favorite locations! Today I went back for a special Santa that I've been searching for,also I'm finishing two flower arrangements for next year. Currently they have all their Xmas items on sale and with my $5 dollar coupon,I was walking on a cloud. Oh the gentleman at the cashier was just wonderful and helped me locate the gingerbread lady/house for my arrangement. This month it was perhaps my 5th trip and their employees are always wonderful. So Michael's came in clutch for the holidays! My work does all kinds of things to make it "festive" at work. We did a door decorating contest for thanksgiving and christmas, and our work life balance committee does special things for employees. One of our nurses was having a baby, so our committee decorated her office area (desk and above) with congratulations for her baby. The committee even surprised me on my birthday by decorating my door. It's a nice way to make work fun! And all the supplies were from this store. Shout out to Sam and Crystal at this Michael's location. I had called ahead to check that they had a popular skein of yarn I needed in stock, and not only did Sam check for the 1 the website said they had in stock, she also checked the rest of their stock and found a surprise 2nd skein they had. She was so sweet over the phone and immediately put them on hold for me to purchase when I came in. When I got there, crystal was supporting the front end, and she was kind enough to check if they had any applicable coupons when I asked because my phone was bugging out and not allowing me to check. Super nice associate, made sure I had everything I needed and overall a genuinely nice experience to have while shopping. I arrived on time for the appointment, only to be told that they do not have anyone in the framing department on Wednesdays. Aside from literally getting hit with a door on my way out, tonight's experience is worse than last weeks. I bought items and the girl at the register told me I could use the restroom and sent me to go wait by the restrooms for an associate, then after several minutes I found another employee that told me the restrooms were closed. Last week I spent over 25 minutes waiting for someone to get the locked paint area open. They are not understaffed though because I saw employees standing around in uniform chatting with eachother, it appears many just don't want to help customers. read more

I do enjoy going to this store and they have a large number of projects,paints, frames and it's a store I've been to many times over the years. The employees are helpful and cashier's are friendly. So I want to start of saying this Michael's has the best customer service around. Definitely way better than the La Habra one. Went there to get a Christmas tree. Since they were on sale and was told I couldn't buy the display. Even though they didn't have anymore or were getting any more. The manager out of desperation of not taking down the tree. Started to call around. And the ( this one ) Fullerton location had it and even held it for us to go get it. I Once arriving. And walking in. I was greeted right away. Not like the La Habra location. I asked about the tree and how I was sent there. The lady told me it was up at the register. They were holding it until I asked for it. I continued to shop around. If it wasn't for them having computer difficulties on this registers I might have made a big dent on the wallet. So many great Christmas stuff here Stella I think that was her name. Helped me an bd asked if I needed help around the store many times Then she we walked around the store informing they were going to close early due to this registers. Workers in store are seriously lacking training in customer service. Every time I call to check if they have an item, the phone rings forever until someone with an attitude picks up. When I told the worker I have the item number (I figured it would make things easier), he ignored me and asked me to describe it. So I told him it was a plant and he goes "what color?" I say "green" then he goes "you're going to have to give me more than that" so I go "I can give you the item number" and he sighs so loudly like I'm being irritating but I guess we can play "guess the item" for another five minutes? -_- when I give him the number, he cuts me off and goes "I don't need the first two numbers just give me the last six" I was so taken aback because dude, it's two extra numbers! 1 and 0 lol! It's not like I'm listing off six numbers. Anyway, super rude for no reason. I've never had a good experience here. Had the best experience. In Buena Park. Called many framing places and no one would help me with my mirror. The wiring in the back was coming off. I was ready to give up. I walked in treated like royalty and they went the extra mile and double reinforced the back. I was blown away. Two weeks later I went to Michael's in Fullerton cause I saw one while doing some errands. I'm like a fat kid at a candy store when I come here... no disrespect to fat kids who love candy. Love walking through all the isles to see what I can create or what else I'd like to get into. I never have a good experience at this Michaels, I don't know what it is about this location. I try to have my coupons up in advance before entering because the reception is awful there. Today my husband closed out of the browser and we weren't able to pull the coupon back up and the cashier just kept saying "go to Michaels.com" to the point where I got frustrated and showed her my phone and that it wasn't working. She then said that there was "nothing that she could do". I asked if they just had the coupon at the register that she could scan and she said "NO". Curbside pick up orders are usually completed within that same hour; they have a great variety of items and their customer service is great. Came in here on 7/14/2021. Came in to get a coloring book and colored pencils. Found the colored pencils with no issues, but couldn't find the coloring books. Walked around the ENTIRE store 3 times before I found someone to ask for help. When I asked the guy, he told me "we don't have them. Go to Walmart." I can now see why this is a low rated Michael's. Honestly just a horrible experience "trying" to shop there. I wouldn't have given them any stars except that they don't allow you to post review unless you give them at least "one" (that should tell you everything you need to know about this company) Art selection was really limited as far as sketching and drawing supplies. And they were overpriced" They have most everything "locked", and you have to call an associate to unlock anything you want to look at. Then,..they "stand there while you look at your prospective purchase". THEN...they told us that we could not hold the items, but rather that THEY had to take them to the register for us. I found it to be quite offensive....I mean, what a horrible.message to send to a customer..."we think you're going to steal stuff so we have to take it from you".. I love me some Michael's. However, this location is not my favorite. The store seems to be a little unorganized a lot of times I go in here. Always check online for coupons before coming here. The part this store really needs help with are their registers. Lines get so long here and take forever. They normally only have one register open and don't call for back up. Employees also don't greet customers or use polite gestures like I'll be right with you. There's lots of parking in the front of the store. read more

This location is the worst in Orange County. Usually pretty messy, rude employees, when it is busy you'll see multiple employees standing around chatting, but none will help the line at the register. Had a cashier who literally refused to talk to me, and didn't even respond when I said "hi, how are you?" Another cashier refused to accept a return because it was opened, but she had been the one to open it so she could see if it had been opened or not. Went here today to get some stuff to spruce up my apartment. Decided on a cute wall cling, paid, and left. When I got ready to put up the cling, I opened the package to see that all the contents were stolen, and the stickers had been put back on to look new. I took the package back, with my receipt, and found the manager. I explained my situation, and she started getting extremely snippy with me and started questioning me and asking me how she would know if it wasn't me who stole the product, and why I didn't check to see if the product was in the box before I purchased it- really??? Why on earth would I come back if I did? Finally, I convinced her to let me exchange, to find out they did not have another of the one I got. I went back, and asked for a refund, to which she started questioning me again. After a debate, she agreed to a refund, I got everything taken care of- and got the heck out of there. She said she put my money, receipts, and another product I bought in the bag, but when I went to put my cash away, there was no cash! I went back to the store AGAIN and found my friend again. She then argued with me AGAIN asking how she would know I didn't just come back for more money. Finally got my cash, and got the heck out, a third time. Now, I'm a little too addicted to michaels to boycott, but it's a shame I'm never going to the one half a mile away from where I live again. I was here on Thursday and an employee was not wearing a mask. She had it hanging off her ear and not even remotely around her face. It made me extremely uncomfortable, I had to work to avoid her the entire time I was in the store. This is the absolute worst michaels. This store always has issues. They don't have a working air conditioner and currently running from a generator. There are products all over the floor in every isle. Nothing is put back right and I see employees walking by not organizing anything just walking over fallen stickers ? When we checked out we bought two boxes for 7.99 each. They popped up as 20.99 on our bill we paid for. We went back in and the employee working got the manager Abigail. She said she could over write it and do the 7.99 (which she has to because it was marker 7.99). When we went back to get refunded the employee wasn't sure how to refund it correctly (which is fine) but the manager came to help her and started belittling the employee saying she is being confusing and giving her attitude and told her to watch out so she can do it (I thought that was so rude to talk to your employee like that who needs help!??) anyways. Their system went down (which is normal to them) so everyone was sitting there waiting and we were asking if there was any other way we can get a refund cuz we were running late somewhere and the manager very rudely said no there is no other way or we can just leave with our items for the full 20.99 price???? I'm sorry but who the hell are you to talk that way to anyone. After we waited for the refund. I let her know I will contact Corporate and I know the head supervisor because I used to be a manager at a Michael's (and a really good one) and she just said she did us a favor (no you didn't chick, you had to do that...store policy) and said ok. I really enjoy this store. I've read the previous negative reviews so I had to make my own. I've lived around the corner from this Michael's for years and I've always made sure to stop by, especially in the fall for those Halloween decorations. I can't account for their customer service in the past because... I've never noticed. Recently, however, I've needed assistance a couple of times and both the cashiers and the manager (?) were great to deal with. I wondered about a discount on a broken item, they were quick to help me out and on another visit, I wanted a plant from the top shelf & was assisted with no attitude but with pleasure. I frequently shop at Michaels at various locations. Of them all, this one is probably the most disorganized. A lot of the merchandise is all different aisles were hanging off shelves. I tend to walk through each aisle, casually browsing everything, and at least half the amount in the store had merchandise on the floor! The sales associates I interacted with today were very nice but having the store this messy is enough to make customers go elsewhere. On top of that, their air conditioner was broken! I know that's not really in their control but the cleanliness of the store is and I hope they put in more effort to tidying up. read more
