I like all the stores in this little plaza. This is probably the best Michaels in the area. They're a lot larger than all the other ones I've been to. Its a huge store. Prices are the same as any Michaels but they do have a clearance section and you could probably look there for deals. They've always had way more craft items than art supplies. But the amount of art supplies they have is decent. The staff was great. The particular cashier was so nice to me. If it were closer, I'd go to this one all the time. read more

My go to arts and crafts store. The store is large, spacious and well stocked. Staff is friendly. Gotta love those 40% weekly coupons and holiday items! Art supply selection is not as diverse as University Art or Jerrysartrama, but that's a minor quibble. read more

I went to Michaels on Friday, March 23. I had the worst customer service! I am an art teacher. I found 6 sets of oil pastels, but I needed 12. I had to wait in line at the cashier to find out if they had more because there was no one on the floor to ask. They said they didn't have anymore, but they could check another store. They didn't know which was the next closest store nor could they figure it out on their list of stores. After I pointed out the store on the list they electronically found out that the store had what I needed. The employee asked me if I wanted to call the other stroe to be sure they had it. I said that she should call the store--that's how it is normally done. She said she couldn't do that because she was a cashier. I asked if there was someone else who could call. She said she would get someone. I went to get a few more items and waited in line AGAIN. When I got to the cash register they had not called and the same girl acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. I puchased the 6 sets and left. I ordered everything else that I needed from Amazon. It was cheaper and it came the next day with free shipping from Amazon Prime. I won't go back to Michaels again unless I need the supplies the same day. Even then I am pretty sure they won't have it anyway. read more

I came here today to buy yarn for knitting. The supply of chunky weight yarn is fairly limited. Not much in the 10-12mm size range. I was also hoping I could find some higher-end wool yarn (cheap stuff can be very itchy!). Ended up buying two skeins of acrylic blend yarn instead. After leaving the store and going home I looked at my receipt to see that the cashier charged me for THREE skeins of yarn. It was on sale for $2 each and not worth it to me to drive all the way back to get it corrected, but I'm very disappointed. KEEP YOUR EYE ON YOUR ITEMS AS THEY ARE SCANNED AT THE REGISTER TO MAKE SURE THEY DONT CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU DIDNT BUY! read more

Most of the employees are rude and don't have a sense about what good customer service is. I went here for the Easter Clearance Sale. As I was looking for items to buy, a worker walked pass me so I asked for his help, not only he gave me a stare, he walked away like he didn't even hear me. Approximately 2 mins after that, another employee walked up with a price scanner. As he was scanning items on the shelves, another 2 employees walked up to me. One of the female worker started price checking the items in my cart without even speaking to me which I thought it was strange. Then she said "These items are not on sale yet, would you like to buy something else?". I found all their behaviors were strange and rude. First, I never asked for price checked (I didn't even get a chance to since the first employee ignored me when i called for him). Second, why did she offers me to buy something else because these items on my cart are not on sale yet?! I replied politely that I am going to purchase these regardless because i knew they are on Easter Clearance, and I was ready to check out. Then another worker walked up to me (6th one) offered to help me at the check out. They walked me through the waiting line (they as 3 workers in total like I needed that much escorts). So the "helpful" worker turned out to be a nightmare, she reached for a piece of paper and a pen, slammed them on the counter and demanded for my name. I was so shocked by her tone of voice and action. I asked for her reason, she even got angrier and said that I have to, she never explained her reason. I felt so disrespected by her, everybody were staring. I asked to speak with manager and she said she is the manager on duty, she spoke to me with her body launching over the counter like she was going to give me a beat, That was when I had enough, I googled customer service number and called them at the spot in her presence. I asked the customer service department if I have to give out my personal information, I told them this has never happened to me ever. Of course they apologized and said I don't have to give the workers my information, etc.. It's not that I care about giving my name out, it's how it went down. They were rude and thuggish, I thought Michaels stores are family and kids friendly? Turned out these items are a penny ea, so not only they lied to me about items aren't on sale yet, they treated me like I was a criminal. Customer service department said they will have the District manager talks to the store manager and they will give me a call after. I still want to know their reason for demanding my personal information. So far it has been 3 weeks and they haven't call me so here is my rating for this store. If you can't work in customer service then don't, there are many other jobs more suitable for you. Managers hire workers like these only going to show your management skills, it's bad for business. read more

Is it sad that this Michael's location was at the top of the list of three stores I visited for black Friday shopping? I'm sort of addicted I guess. Between all of the events I've needed to plan and coordinate over the last few months, I've been a frequent visitor of this location and the location on Tully. This location is sooooo much better. There's a much wider selection of everything here since its probably twice the size of the Tully store. I often find myself stopping at the Tully location out of convenience if I happen to be on the East side and then have to make my way across town to this store to actually find what I need. It's been a one stop shop for me. The shelves are always clean and tidy. The staff has been especially helpful. My last trip had me walking out with a cart overflowing with goodies I picked up at a major discount (almost all my items were marked down 50% and I had a 30% off coupon good for all items including everything on sale). Unfortunately you can't take the cart out of the store with you but they were happy to help me carry all of my bags to my car for me. Keep your eye out for the weekly ads in the mail or find their coupons online. A lot of items can be pretty pricey without discounts. read more

I love Michael's but I'm not too fond of this one... they don't let you stack coupons! I had a 40% off one item coupon and a 30% off total purchase. I had 15+ items but was told that I cannot use multiple coupons on one transaction. Even though other Michael's do this they said that they don't. Instead I had to do two different transactions. The store is large and clean but I guess I'd only go here if I have just an item or two to purchase because of their coupon policy. I'll stick to the Milpitas one instead. read more

This Michael's has terrible customer service, it's so difficult to get help from anyone working there, either no one is around to help, or when you do find someone they try to pawn you off to someone else or give off an attitude that they don't want to help. It is also annoying that when they are out of stock of something, the employees are in no way empowered to help you. The answer is always, "Try again next week." This day in age, there should be a way to order out of stock product for people. read more

Looked online for a product and it said they had plenty in stock. Drove across town and showed up at the store an hour later - and they had NONE. It seemed so unlikely, so I asked the staff to check. The staff was VERY helpful - and apologetic. They said that the system was not always up to date. I told them they were great - but their employer - not so great. Tonight - eight hours later, I went online and went through the motions of ordering for pick-up. (just to see what would happen) It was going to let me do it!!!! It is SUNDAY - so there is no way a shipment showed up. I would have arrived at the store and they would have had to apologize, because they would not have had it. What an awful thing to do to your customers. And what a horrible way to treat their employees, because the employees are the ones who are left to deal with the upset customers and do the explaining - even though they have not power over the system. It's been 24 hours since the incident at Michael's... I called them to request to file a complaint. They took my info but no Manager followed up on. I had to call 3x today to finally get a manager. It was only when I said I was pregnant that he took me seriously. I also told him that since icing the right side of my face, i have a scraped right cheek, bruising and a cut right hand. He said, with the new information, he can no longer talk to me and said that moving forward, a company by the name Gallagher and Bassett will contact me. I'm waiting for anyone to contact me at this point -- no response from direct store nor Michael's Corp. :( read more

I had a fantastic experience at Michael's today. Not only do they have a great selection of frames but they have a super staff who care about customer service. I had bought a previous frame and part of the hardware broke when I tried to hang it up at home. It was a big frame and I was nervous about how I can get my picture up on the wall. When I went back to Michaels, they replace the frame no problem in addition, I went and spoke to the framers and they were able to help me with getting new stronger hooks and hardware so that I won't have the same scary experience. I didn't catch the names of everyone who helped me but I specifically remember Madison and Thalya. There was also the lead frame specialist, but I did not unfortunately catch his name. He was kind enough to stop and spend at least 10 to 15 minutes helping me even though he was on his way out from work. Thank you so much Michael's! read more

This Michaels is in the same shopping center where I work so it is usually the one I go to. They have a pretty big selection here but the one back at my home town is better. I was in there yesterday geting posters for a big project and i walked around for at least ten minutes searching for them and there were no employees in sight. When i finally did find the posters there was an employee working on stock in the same aisle as me watching me struggle with 22 36in by 48in posters and didnt even offer me any assistance even after half of them slipped out of my arms. Then i had to wait in line with the other 8 customers in the store with only 2 people working the register. Its just weird because Im watching employees walking around behind the registers and doing random little tasks yet they have 2 people checking out and almost no one helping customers. would have given them more stars if they had better customer service since its obvious they have enough employees. read more
